At a Con this weekend where I will be running some games, so may not be posting much.

Think its a slow weekend with Cons, you guys are lucky to have so many good ones :) Not so many here in Sydney.

Time to make my final decision about what to run, and that may depend on what characters folks want to bring. I'd really like to start off with Darkest Vengeance but it's known to be rather deadly so if the average is more toward level 1 we'll start with Devil We Know.

So I'm holding one spot for Shifty and one for Jorag, for sure so far. Anyone else want a spot reserved before I open recruitment?

If you need something, I have several 2s and 3s that I could play. And my wife MIGHT be up for it as well, if she is allowed.

I have a level 2 ready to go, will level up after two more sessions to 3.

Or I can roll in a L1 (who has 2 sheets applied).

Or a brand spanking L1.

Whichever suits :) Level 2 is my preference though :)

I have just opened up the recruitment for the game, I decided Darkest Vengeance will make a good closer and I'm bound to have a pool of level 2's by the time we get there.
So we begin with Shipyard Rats!
Shifty has one of the reserved spots I mentioned, a lvl 1 half-orc Cleric has the other.

Thanks BBB, was a nice relaxed day. Once all the busy parts were done I got to sit down and watch the UFC 'Fight for the troops', lovely day.

Now back to polishing and ironing ahead of the next parade this weekend. Time to get out the Dubbin and polish the heck outta my Sam Browne. Were hoping the band will play the Blackadder Theme.

On a side note, my lovely parade I have been haranguing my poor brow beaten chaps into getting right and their brass and leather all spiffy has now been completely changed less than a week out from the event and is now completely different - including the uniforms required. I can only remark on their levels of enthusiasm and excitement at the last minute change.

Just a heads up, I leave for that parade in 12 hours, and its going to basically take up the whole day (2 hour drive just to get to the place) so there wont be any Saturday in Australia updates!

Hopefully we can ping a few out tonight though :)

Yesterday went very smoothly in the end and it was sunshine and lollipops all round. he heavens opened and a deluge fell about ten minutes after we were done... we were watching the biggest blackest clouds rolling in, but the suckers never got us.

General Sit-rep.

All three teams going great!

Alpha and Bravo are both in the thick of the prison, and have cleared out almost all the enemy. I'd guess maybe a bit over a week to go.

Charlie is pretty much in the endgame, and I suspect they will be done this week.

I have everyones details, so as per usual when we complete these scenarios they will be reported and you will be emailed/sent your chronicle accordingly.

The Online Play Day people have sent a reporting tool through, but I have no clear idea how they are sorting boons etc, more on that if it comes to hand.

Where to next? at this stage I am wary of kicking into another scenario immediately as most of you guys have Thanksgiving, which seems to cause delays, and then we hit the Xmas whackadoo period where every two evenings there seems to be an event on - slowing us like caltrops (or D4's) in thick carpet. I am wondering if once these resolve a pick up again after New Years might be in order.

I'm good either way, with a slight preference for pushing on (even if slowly). I always find it harder to start something back up after a break than to keep doing it, although I certainly can't claim that I'm going to be able to post reliably over the next month or two.

I tend to be busy just the days of the holidays, hanging with the extended family. So as usual, you can count on me to play if you decide to run something. But I'd also be ok with a break if that's where everyone else is too.

So how does one go about using diplomacy as your day-job roll? Is that the Caravan vanity?

Yep there is a vanity that allows you to pick bluff/diplo/intimidate for a trade caravan.
