About Tikrit

Background:
Tikrit was born in Goka, a happy-go lucky member of a flock of Tengu. He learned swordplay at a young age, but didn't take to it as readily as some of his nestmates. He later discovered arcane magic, and though he was not as skilled or talented as some, when he combined the two he became truly exceptional. Somewhat self-taught after that, Tikrit picked up tricks here and there. Tikrit had a problem, however. He was poor and was not able to afford the best sword available in his neighborhood - a fine Katana blade that was made by a local weaponsmith. Tikrit had another skill that would help him in this quest; he had learned to pick the pockets of the inattentive marketgoers in the city, and eventually earned enough to purchase his blade. His father, however, who knew his son could not have earned enough money honestly to buy such an expensive blade, ordered him to return it. Instead of doing so, Tikrit bid his family and his city goodbye and took passage on a ship heading West. He eventually ended up in Absalom, where his natural curiosity, intellect, skill, and unfortunate attraction to shiny objects, led him to join the Pathfinder Society.
