I'm have the exact same issue, same browser as listed below as well as the latest build for IE9.

I'm unsure if this is related to Tuesday's update, but I can't access the Pathfinder Society "GM/Event Coordinator" and "Sessions" tabs on the "My Pathfinder Society" page. When I click those links, it takes me to the correct page with the #tabs appended to the URL, but only the "Player" tab displays.

Using Firefox 16.0.1

URL:
https://secure.paizo.com/pathfinderSociety/myAccount/sessions#tabs
== Shows Player tab, can't switch to Session

https://secure.paizo.com/pathfinderSociety/myAccount/eventCoordinator#tabs
== Shows Player tab, can't switch to Event Coordinator

I'm using firefox, 16.0.1, and I'm missing the tabs on my PBP game. Plus the "new" post indication aren't deleting.

Tels, I believe Focus no longer gathers threads from subforums you have closed. So if you're used to keeping up with particular threads out of a subforum while keeping the main messageboard page "tidy" by closing subforums, you have to actually go into the closed subforum to see your focused threads.

Really ?????

If so, I hate that change.

PMG, can you confirm/deny Joana's post?

Unless I go into a subforum, I'm not seeing anything the Pathfinder RPG forum. Nada.

edit: using Firefox 16.0.1

steps to fix problem until new posts

1)go into the main messageboard
2)click focus
3)Click on the thread's title, not the "X new" or the date stamp.
4)Done, thread's "X new" should be reset to 0, until someone posts

With the new update I note it is still not possible to list gameplay threads in the Online Campaigns section..

Gary can you add this to the list of things that need to be fixed..

There is a lot of bugs in the Online Campaigns section of the forums, which I feel is impacting gameplay.

List so far (That I found):

  • Not updating correctly the X new
  • It clears the X new and then adds a "X new" that has not gained a new post.
  • Some Campaign links are broken

and I sure there is more.

  • im wondering why this update happened on a tuesday and not on a weekend when it wouldn't impact as many people?

Or was the thought behind it that since this is an upgrade of the messageboards, that you would want immediate feedback to be able to resolve issues in RT?

    Hail to the Postmonster

In addition to the issues above, I seen to have lost the wishlist/list edit functionality. I can't delete or sort the threads in my list, or delete an empty list.

    Many thanks.

  • Yep, the Online Campaigns are pretty much borked right now.

I haven't seen my situation reported yet so I'll throw it into the mess. When I am logged into my user account and I try to view a specific thread I get the website error screen. When I log out and browse as a guest everything works as it should. When I log into a friend's account, as I am now, again everything is as it should be and I can post without issue. Has anyone else had the same type of glitch? -Doug Miles

Try clearing out your cookies and logging back in—that might correct some of the errors that you're experiencing.

Any chance we will see an option to load all responses to a thread and/or a "print thread" option that basically loads a whole thread without the sidebars?

First of all, that's sacrilegious advice coming from you, Lilith. Second, I tried it but it didn't work. Thanks for responding though. I'm going to try burning some incense, cutting the head off a chicken and writing "Teeter" on my bare chest with the blood. From what I understand about IT issues, it has as good a chance of clearing up the glitch as a truckload of software certifications ;)

So here's what I did: Logged out, cleared everything, like normal. Went to the PFRPG boards and I saw the threads. So I logged back in, nothing. Same issue as earlier.

I assume you are aware, but just a reminder that the PFS page is still wonky. All the tabs launch back to the start page. Normally, this would not be a huge deal, but I have a convention this weekend and need to download the session log sheets and grab the event number.

EDIT--and the convention, which has been listed in the events for months, is now missing.

We're working on the bugs and should have an update rolled out later this afternoon that fixes several, including the problems with PFS tabs.

By "clearing out cookies," I do mean "eat them." :D

    Bugs that have been fixed:

Ability to delete and sort threads on wishlists.

Pathfinder Society tabs now work properly.

Products with a single review now show product review.

Sign in issue on main messageboards page when displaying extra forums.

Its still very buggy over on the PbP forums but I figure you know that...

    Paizo Employee PostMonster General

A number of archived play-by-post recruitment and Goblinworks discussion threads didn't get moved to the right forum during the cleanup. I've just finished moving them back into place.

I'm not sure if this has been mentioned but for me the "favorite this post" button is showing on the lefthand side of the relevant post for those without any subscriptions and on the right for those with at least one. (FWIW, I prefer the LHS since the RHS is cluttered with reply/flag/list options and I have big, clumsy fingers).

I dont know the version. Internet explorer from a few years ago.

Oh wait - under help it says "What's new in Internet Explorer 9" so I guess version 9. :p

Ah. It sounds like you may have compatibility mode enabled for paizo.com. Some times that makes them look better, sometimes it doesn't. I tried it at home and when I clicked it, a lot of stuff looked weird, including the favorite + going to the left. To get out of compatibility mode, you can click on the little broken page icon to the right of the lock in the address box. If it's blue, it's enabled if it's light gray, its disabled.

Alternatively, I'm working on getting some fixes in for IE7 and IE8 that should help quite a bit for anybody that needs to use those browsers.

The site is broken under IE6. Please drop all your work and fix it for the gold standard of browsers, please :)

Thanks, Lissa. You were exactly right and that sorted the problem. Cheers.

(You dont want to pop over to Australia and work out why my network printer requires me to send a print command three times, do you?).

In the Product Discussion forum, I love the way that you separate out the publisher's name. It's in its own column, so you can easily scan down looking for works by a particular publisher; and it's small, to place the emphasis on the product itself.

I'm not so happy with how it looks when viewing the messageboards as a whole. I would say, try putting a hyphen between the publisher and the title, and reversing the bolding (so that the title is bold and the publisher isn't). Maybe also italicize the publisher. I think that would be easier to use in the same way as the forum view, for the same reasons.

Every time I click on the number next to the topic that shouldtake me to the latest post and every time I post it takes me to a blank screen but with the standard menu at the top.

    Thanks for the fixes!

Still having problems with xnew and thanks for the hard work guys. I know you don't get to hear that nearly enough.

    Gary,

FYI when I'm logged in I can't reach my campaigns tab at all.

Some threads, primarily in the PbP area, "whitescreen" (ala Helaman's post) depending on how I navigate there.

Sporadically, PbP threads accessed from campaign do not display the tabs linking them to related campaign threads.

    I am using Firefox 16.0.1.

I realize that PbP falls after the commercial and rules support you also provide , so I'm in no huge hurry.

Good luck thrashing all this out.

The tabs in the PBP games are intermittent. Sometimes they are there, other times they are missing.

There's a handful of fiddly bugs with campaigns and x new and tabs that I suspect may all be the same bug wearing different silly hats. Today is a good day to smash those bugs.

    Thanks Gary

I'm in the flattened view of the messageboards and when I click "hide" on a thread, there's a 25% chance (give or take) that the thread just above it is hidden instead. Then I have to show, fix both, hide again, blah blah. Is this an update issue?

So after Tuesday's update, I can only see threads if I'm clever. If I'm not clever, all I get is the dreaded message:

    paizo.com wrote:

Sorry, there was a problem handling your request. The system administrator has been notified.

Please contact webmaster@paizo.com if you continue to have difficulties.

Ways for me to be clever:

    1. Yesterday, if there'd been no posts since 7/26/2012, I could see the thread. I verified this in two threads. Today it's migrated into 7/27/2012, making me think it's a duration rather than a date. It's also curious that 7/27/2012 is exactly 90 days ago.

It's interesting to note that URLs that did *not* work yesterday for me are working today ... but only if they fall into that window of time that was "less than 90 days old" yesterday afternoon but which are now "more than 90 days old."

    2. If I'm not logged in, I can see the thread.

    3. If I go to a user's page and hit reply, thus going through the secure.paizo.com/cgi-bin/WebObjects...createNewPost URL instead of the normal viewing URL, I can see the thread, but only while I'm posting or previewing. Once I post, I get the error again.

    Things will be smurfy, soon!

gbonehead, I see what's going on there. That should be fixed later today.

Grand Lodge RPG Superstar 2012 Top 32

Forgive me if this has already been mentioned, but I'm not sure whether it's a bug or a feature:
Folks with subscriptions have them listed underneath the big horizontal line under their name. Folks with other titles (such as "PostMonster General" or "RPG Superstar 2012 Top 32") have them above that horizontal line, butted up against their names.

If it matters, I'm using IE7. (Don't blame me, it's my work computer!)

I should have some fixes for IE7, IE8, and compatibility mode IE in today sometime, but titles are now separate from subscriber tags and that is intentional. Titles aren't supposed to be as close to the name as they are showing in IE7 currently so that will be fixed.

Can we get the parenthesis back? It's one less thing to have to manually format when quoting someone.

I see what's going on there.

    vs

    a handful of fiddly bugs

The second one looks much nicer.

Also there's a space at the end when selecting. Meaning, if I select your title+name (right to left) it looks normal, but when I paste it, I get "Lissa Guillet Assistant Software Developer " <-- space at the end. I think it's coming from the beginning of the line, though, if I leave out the first character, then there's no space at the end. ("issa Guillet Assistant Software Developer")
