Greenie,
Batfleck isn't my favorite version...
But I do agree they need to stop writing Green Arrow as Batman.
I love Ben Affleck, and Henry Cavill is a great actor. But the DCCU stinks.
Hence why I hope someday, there will be a good Wonder Woman movie. (But that rant would take us waaay off topic.)

I've heard nothing but good reviews for the last one haven't seen it yet but I have plans.

You can't build a strong house on a foundation of feces. No matter how good the movie is it builds on those others. Plus, I loathe and detest the New 52 "Wonder Woman" who is just another Zeus kid and thinks she needs a sword. (But again I digress...)
Agree with this... I hate the sword and shield thing. It makes her less super-hero and more Xena clone. It used to be reserved for massive things like Kingdom Come and other 'elseworlds' but it bled over to the regular universe.
At least the previews show some solid Lasso action so I have hope. I'll be seeing it, but after everything else they've done with DCEU I don't have high expectations.

She's a legendary greek warrior first, superhero second. The use of a sword and shield makes sense. And Xena is definitely WW inspired, not the other way around.
The warrior background not only makes sense but differentiated her from just being female Superman. Diana doesn't consider herself a superhero. She's an Amazon first, which means warrior, diplomat, champion.
The willingness to use weapons and her understanding of the term War and all it entails, and by extension the actual meaning of Peace, is one of her defining characteristics.

She is as strong as Superman. She can rip anything on Earth apart with her bare hands. What does she need a sword for?
Mythical Amazons were legendary Greek Warriors. William Moulton Marston's evolved somewhat in the intervening 5000 years. Not unlike how the Greek civilization evolved - into ours.
Swords are way cool

I prefer my Superheroes to be better than we are. To by a symbol of hope; of what we should aspire to be. I prefer a character who's core mission statement is to strive for peace. To teach us to love or fellow men, regardless of nation, race, religion, gender, sexual preference, etc. Carrying a lethal weapon (that is pointless due to your bare hands being tougher than any natural metal) goes against that core mission statement.
The other train of thought is: Green arrow should actually use lethal arrows. Batman should carry assault weapons. And Superman should just lobotomize criminals. That way leads to protagonists who are no better than us, who happen to have special powers.

Have you actually read Green Arrow? Especially the Mike Grell run. He's killed and maimed a lot of people with real arrows. Not everything is Saturday morning cartoons.

Most of them. It's supposed to be one of Hephaestus' greatest works.

Don't forget the time Superman got hit by Mjolnir and then used that plus Cap's shield! ;)

Agreed. They have their roots in mythology, but they were also from a perfect 'paradise'. The idea was that they had moved beyond war and violence and saw that as the sins of 'man's world'. Their science was advanced to the point of invisible planes and purple rays of healing. Still using swords and shields would be like Batman using a sharp rock and a club based on what his society used 5,000 year ago...
Her mission in Man's World was to show them a better way. That falls so far apart when her first instinct is to grab a super sword and slice apart her enemies. It's scuttling the concept of the character for 'what looks Kool!!' It makes for an interesting visual... and works as something special during the elseworld/Kingdom Come/Flashpoint concepts... but not a fan of it as her standard gear.
that's not even factoring in her insane super power levels....
Hoping to see the movie this weekend, but really not a fan of 'modern' wonder woman.

Still one of my all time favorite pictures ever. One of the most epic things ever!

Except you tend to come out of the Lazarus pit bat$#!+ crazy for a while
There was a 6 month time jump, crazy could have gotten under control.
And we saw her shot and drop. Then get up when mystery man reached a hand down. We don't know her status inbetween or what he did to fix her or not.

Have you heard about the response from the showrunners of a certain FOX series?
I notice Kord Industries in the synopsis for next week also.
BTW, Mad Dog's creator is not a fan of the new look. "in name only" was in the interview. But his comment on the design made me realize. Aside from the eyepiece, we have never had Deadshot's comic costume live action - until now.

PLease no. That show should not come near of the Arrowverse.
I don't hate Gotham... Some times I like it a lot, some times... not. However I agree that Gotham is far and away it's own thing and has nothing to do with the DC multiverse. I have zero interest in seeing Batman jr meeting Supergirl and Flash... They need their OWN Batman. Or maybe even just their own Bruce Wayne to make a cameo without the cowl.
