Is there not a way to disallow, or at least to limit the frequency of new threads being created by new accounts? These bots would be much less disruptive to the boards if they could only create a new thread every six hours or something.
Having read through this whole topic, this seems to be the most sensible suggestion.

There can be only none.
Except when there are two. (I already posted that one above…) ;)

Yes. But you clearly didn't get the job done. Thus they sent me.
EDIT: Actually, though, sorry for missing it. I checked the names of the spammers quickly above, and somehow missed that post. Heh. Sorry.

Perhaps Paizo should get their networking guys to take a look - maybe they can block the IP address (assuming there is just one and not an entire block that could block legit users and that it doesn't turn into a game of 'whack-a-mole').
This has been suggested. And likely critiqued as unfortunately resulting in just what you are suggesting.

And another one - now they attack during the day saniBaba
They occasionally do that though we're usually more alert about them. They rarely last more than 10 minutes during work hours.

Another one in the dead of night... ...in this very section, no less. Not sure if that's funny or sad.
It seems they also change the number put up in the spam.

You may fire when ready.
He seems to have hit the general discussion board pretty hard there with the spam.
