Unfortunately, I qualify as a complete non-hacker (never tried) with only a few years of coding experience and I could write a bot that's doing this stuff. Just spend a few minutes as a human setting up an account, then turn the bot loose to spam the account.
On the other hand, that's a few minutes of someone's time every day which would make it a personal assault.
Far more likely they've figured out a way to have the bot create an account. That's what captchas (the strangely distorted characters when you create an account) are supposed to stop.
But at this point bots can solve captchas better than people.

Meh. I think this qualifies as a "first world problem."
and Baba Ji had a small party I the Paizo Publishing General Discussion boards. Looks like it was around 3 hours ago.

Sadly there were some responses to this spam thread which are still present after the OP was removed. I flagged them but wanted to leave it here as well.

Is there not a way to disallow, or at least to limit the frequency of new threads being created by new accounts? These bots would be much less disruptive to the boards if they could only create a new thread every six hours or something.

There's 6 threads by yatarim100 on the Advice section 1/3rd way on the page.
yatiram100 is really annoying and I'm no longer able to flag his posts - after flagging several of them, it now just tells me, "Sorry, there was a problem adding your flag." after I select "Breaks other Guidelines".

Just a quick note: flagging every post isn't 100% necessary with these guys. Also, please try to refrain from posting more threads about the spam, as those kind of tend to end up also being kinda spammy. And again, thank you for your help with identifying these accounts! :)

Wow, wish I read this like twenty minutes ago. I did both those things - started a new thread, and flagged every single post. Ooops….. Yay… me…. Feel free to delete the thread...

That's what I asked in my unfortunately new thread. I posited perhaps a reason could be "I suspect this is SPAM"

Astrologer is crapping in the Advice section, Astrologer1 is crapping in the General Discussion section. Either these people aren't very creative, or bots are creating the accounts in addition to the posts. Perhaps anti-bot measures should be put in place at profile creation. It is a natural choke point.

This spammer hit a gaming forum I frequent about a month ago. Same astrology mumbo jumbo. Prepare for him to hit the site about 30-40 times a day for the next several days or so.
As if the babaji wasn't bad enough :/
