Had an interview today, hoping that within the next day or so I can finally remove the curse of the hobo template. Since getting a job seems to be easier than finding a 16th level cleric around here.
Is it strange when Zyren mentioned North Sea the game "Man O' War" came to mind. I have doing a lot with Warhammer lately and that was one of my favorite games.
Posting longer texts gets me back to the start of a thread about half the time, too - though in at least one case, the text showed up in the thread a few minutes later.
The forum acted wonky the whole week.
Ya gotta get your system working Sable, there are a ton of Paladins who need to die. And DMHW, I don't know what you need to update, you have only set us against about 500 monsters only a few (dozen) of which are dragons or giants.
Bah - organized religion is for those without the intelligence to realize that you are just paying someone else for what you can get with a clean conscience and good ethics all by yourself.
I heard Sigmar was going to give Tirion the Bloody Flux, lol.
"DMHW, I don't know what you need to update, you have only set us against about 500 monsters only a few (dozen) of which are dragons or giants."
Tirion, I am just the DM. I cannot help that you decided to wait for a horde of thousands of hobgoblins, goblins, worgs, hellhounds, ogres, ettins, giants, manticores, and a Red Dragon to come to a bridge over a gorge so that you could simply knock the bridge down with a few giants on it. I think your actions cause me more stress than my actions cause you! How do you expect to live?
Well folks, editing seems back to normal, and I got a nice response from Customer Service at Paizo. This is what they said.

"We were actually having a bit of problem with our server earlier where an update we released was preventing people from logging in or posting on the site. There is a fair chance that this also prevented you from being able to edit your messageboard posts. At this time you should be able to post without any problems as we have remedied the problem. If it does give you any trouble though, make sure to let me know so I can assist you further. Thanks!"
I killed my computer and only just got it fixed. This has been fun. Had it out from under my desk to clean the dust out but turned it back on to check something online. Turned around and managed to knock a glass of water straight off my desk and mostly through the fan hole in the top of the case.
Have had to buy both a new motherboard and new processor and spent the week computerless as I disassembled what was left and left it to dry while I waited for the new components to turn up. Like I said, it has been great fun.
My luck is either super good or super bad, never seems to even out. I seem to always have a broken limb or something but then I'll get a bursary out of the blue that I didn't apply for as a kind of karmic recompense thing. Kind of a pain but does make for an interesting life.

Hey - we did manage to kill 3 giants, 1 minotaur and several dozen hobgoblins. I wouldn't call it a complete loss. Admittedly we now have a rather pissed off Red Dragon chasing us, but hey, that's life (or is it "that's a barbecue.")
Have any of you DM types considered running a WFRP 2nd Ed game on these boards? I am applying to one with Zombieneighbours, but I truly enjoy our group here and look forward to our games. It is a very diverse grouping of individuals we have here and though we possess a varied outlook on the world and life, seem to do a pretty decent job of treating each other with respect and support even when we disagree. Not bad for people spread around the globe and who have never met one another. It is pretty amazing that something as simple as a game could bring us together.
Soldiers, lawyers, professors, teachers, single mothers, and students, straight, gay,or somewhere in between yet through it all we seem to have good time regardless of how bitter Tark can be;). It seems I have strayed from my original question, lol. But, that is of no consequence as I was discussing how enjoyable an experience being around this campfire was with wife and thought that I should express it here. Funny how things can change how you see the world.

I second this motion - not the WFRP stuff as I don't even know what it is, but the rest wholeheartedly.
Bilbo, thank you for writing out something that I myself thought more then once when around the campfire. I am glad that I became part of this little community in the community!.
Hey Bilbo, I am running a campaign called the The Heroes of Elsir Vale and we were wondering if you were interested in joining our group. We have four players and some NPCs that I have been running. This is an epic campaign written by James Jacobs called the 'Red Hand of Dooom'. The adventure starts at 5th level, but I took the characters from 1st level up to 5th with a homebrew. However, they just turned 6th level as they just knocked down a bridge to slow down the horde from approaching the town of Drellin's Ferry. You can read the campaign notes for more information (There is a journal which summarizes each day), but basically a group of heroes met at the Elsir Vale Tournament of Heroes in the city of Brindol. After winning their respective events, they have befriended the High Lord of Brindol and are now trying to help him by saving the Elsir Vale from a great horde of hobgoblins, giants, and other nasty monsters who are worshipping the queen of dragons, Tiamat. We are a fun, close knit group. You probably know some of the crew. Tirion (Ailetha in HOR) is a dark gnome sorcerer, Bofus (Vaughn Eliot in HOD) is a halfling rogue, Mantooth is a paladin of Iomedae, and Thordak (Flofer in HOL) is a dwarven ranger. The party cleric, Matthias is a priest of Sarenrae who basically stopped posting over the summer. Since that time Tirion and myself have taken turns running the character, but we have been talking and we have decided that it does not work to have me as a DM run the cleric. We are looking for a great role-player such as yourself that would be interested in running either a cleric, bard, witch, or oracle who would be able to supplement this party's massive attack force. You are also welcome to play Matthias Teskerwill himself who is a good character, but we all recognize that you would obviously prefer creating you own character who you can sink your teeth into. Look over the thread and let me know if this is something you are interested in. For the most part, the players are very consistent posters. Usually they post 2-3 per day. Zyren was in it for a while, but he had trouble with the change in time zones and had to retire his bard. If you want to talk, come over to the OOC thread and we can talk. If you have too much going on, I completely understand, but hope that you would consider.
Hey folks, I am headed to Georgia in the morning. Post may slow a tad as I will be on the road for 6-7 hours at a time. Hotels should have internet access so things shouldn't be too bad, but just wanted to give the heads up.
I am guessing it is Georgia in the USA - in the south just north of Florida. It would be tough to drive to Georgia just east of the Black Sea from the States.
Well, Zyren, I was checking the shipping numbers and your package arrived in the States and was shipped north from Springfield, Massachusetts on Saturday. I anticipate that I will get it shortly. I just thought you would want to know.
