Just waiting on Maranax's final influence attempt. Everyone make sure your character information is correct in the recruitment thread, so I can begin the chronicle process. Also, feel free to roll your Day Job checks in the Discussion thread.

It looks to me as though all three are pretty well sewn up.

A bit unmoored now that he is not needed with Cyran, Maranax tries to help his fellow elves, though in truth he is ignorant of most religions.

"Those who have most closely understood the will of the gods must make the sacrifice of their time and efforts to lead the less enlightened to truth. Don't you think so?"

Each of your charges seem to take to your advice and conversations. You dare say, you may have made some friends over the past few days. Well that, or maybe it was all the illusion of the deal. The pull of great sums of money, trading hands in invisible schemes that leads even the most jaded to gather in camaraderie and celebration, even if just for a while.

As the last vestiges of Myrosype's spectacle clear the arena, the great hall grows eerily silent. Hegio's footstep's in the sand echo in the chamber and he takes a centering position. Even from this far way, you can see all the bidders lean in as he begins to speak.

"On behalf of the Resplendent Bureaucracy, I have the official results for the fifth and final round of bidding on the districts of Alabastrine. Before I reveal them, let me thank you all for participating in this illustrious process with the utmost dignity and decorum. You truly bring honor onto the Cities of Druma and Alabastrine as well as your own mercantile interests. Without any further ado, the winners."

"The winning bid for the Courts of Abstinence - Temel Passad."
"The winning bid for the Luminous Wharf - Myrosype."
"The winning bid for the Prophet’s Burg - Irith Nomzamo."
"The winning bid for the Scriptum - Vayde Petronax."
"The winning bid for the Working End - Cyran Androtus."

"Thank you all again for participating, enjoy your trip back to your homes and interests, wherever they may be."

Cheers erupt the hall, and each of the bidders is surrounded by their entourage. You can tell from their voices and faces that some of the deals that were made today were speculative and very last minute.

Each of the bidders, save Myrosype, makes a stop to thank you for your interest and advice throughout the auction. Cyran, the powerful conjurer even offers you a free casting of greater teleport back to Andoran when you are ready.

Myrosype simply slipped away to her quarters at the conclusion of the announcement.

With the bidding concluded, Temel Passad puts you up in his manse for a few additional days.

-------------------------------------------------------

Once you do arrive back in Andoran, Venture-Captain Brackett and the Trade Prince seek an immediate audience, eager to learn of the results of the bidding.

Maranax definitely takes up Cyran on that teleport offer. The elf is almost jittery with excitement to experience such amazing magic.

Back at Absalom, he indulges himself in a bottle of fine Kyonin wine before proceeding to the meeting with the Venture-Captain and Trade Prince. He is mostly quiet during the meeting, but thereafter begins his Pathfinder journal with the title "My meeting with Cyran."

Miriel takes an alternate route, picking up her order for a darkwood flute from the city of Macridi. Back in Absalom, when meeting with the rest of the team, she shows her purchase.

"Just look at this, it is so beautiful! The craftsmanship, the lovely wood! And listen to the sound!"

She plays a nice little tune, and the flute's sound is soft and warm.

Once you have finished detailing the events to the Venture Captain, he stands and speaks. "Congratulations on a job well done. The Druman bidders have sent a package here for you as gifts for your involvement and advice." He gestures to a wrapped set of items that appear to contain a headband, a mask and a wand.

Brackett continues. "Without a commanding majority of the city, Myrosype will have to dedicate considerable time and effort to the intricacies of politics within Alabastrine, and that should buy us some time in the region."

At that the Trade Prince interjects. "Ah, but all is not secure. The Luminous Wharf promises to be the most profitable district in the years ahead as trade with Isger continues to grow, so with it being under Myrosype's control, we have some rough seas ahead. Although maybe we can try to keep an eye on her with the deal Nerisiel has struck , or the one we the Exchange has brokered with Cyran."

Venture Captain Bracket nods. "Well, time will tell. Finish up your business in Almas, Pathfinders. When you return to Absalom, I'm sure there will be other work to pursue from the Grand Lodge. They probably think you've all been on vacation, no doubt."

"I'm happy to see that we minimised what could have been a disaster for for the pathfinders and for our trading partners. I also like to think we made some new allies during our time in Almas."

Volar will also find the trade prince after the meeting.

"I tried my best to get Irith on our side, but she seemed to take offence at me and my allies trying to make deals with other bidders too."

"I was not aware that the Luminous Wharf was of highest importance. We could have concentrated more of our efforts to secure that particular district. Still, it is good that the consortium finances have been hindered. I am not certain how ruthless Myrosype is, there might be a possibility to convince her join our side with a lucrative enough offer."

Yah, sometimes those second success conditions are very obscure... Looking back, it is even now hard to tell that this was a goal, but a few hints were there...I missed them, of course.
