I grew up in the fricking 1970s and we all knew that blackface was horrifically offensive. The idea that 30 years later all these frat boys were doing it in college and saying, "Oh, it was just harmless fun," is oh, oh...
"Inexcusable and offensive" is the least-offensive thing I can say here.

Okay, let's go a bit more basic, then: what is Fate/Stay night and/or Fate/Zero at all?
(At least the latter is on Netflix, but I have no idea about much of the series other than it stars a blond woman in an improbable "armor dress" reminiscent of some of the weirder FFT designs.)

Shiro's son recommended Space Dandy to me. It's an over-the-top space comedy anime.
Definitely not my cup of tea, but I'll put it out there so people can watch an episode or two and see whether it's theirs.
it is not going to be your cup of tea. It's too zany/funny.
That said everyone has at least ONE episode of the series they like. It's best to view them individually and not in a sitting, because it gets confusing.

Red Dot
... whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat.
Okay, so... it seems that the red dot problem was exclusively on my end, but I don't know how or why.
I had purged my temp files, and still couldn't find the red dot, regardless of what I did, but I found out what had happened, even if I don't understand it, exactly.
So, if I use the "full screen"/"maximize" option I still can't notice anything, but if I make my browser larger by hand - that is, if I just widen the browser - the top navy/darker menu different from how it looks when the screen is maximized. This, in fact, does show the red dot.
Ho-lee-mack-er-all.
Whhhyyyyyyyyyyyyy.
So I can't easily see the red dot, but by making the browser uncomfortably large and scrolling to the top of the screen, the red dot does, in fact, appear!
(The upper portion of the thing isn't... it isn't a pleasant interface for my sensibilities in this format, but it does, in fact, function. So that's that mystery more-or-less solved, I guess.)
EDIT: Gotta admit, this is suuuuuuuper humiliating. Ugh. I really do not know why a simple resizing of my browser causes the top to show up instead of maximizing the thing. BLARG. Sorry, all, and thanks for your help! Also, PMs still probably not the ideal way of getting into contact with me, because even with the red dot, this aspect ratio really isn't that comfortable for some reason, and it's not automatic that I'll scroll to the top of the screen enough to notice the upper portion.

One of my technicians just got a phone call from a former work-from-home employee. She's received the shipping labels for all of the equipment she needs to send back, but she needs advice because she's pretty sure the equipment doesn't fit in the same boxes it came in.
....
It won't fit in the box it came in.

Perhaps this is why you are now a former employee.

I had that happen exactly once with a VERY old printer that required to be placed in the styrofoam at one angle and then placed in the box at an entirely different angle. It was an interesting day.

Packing things well is logistics - it's a well paid and responsible job...
*said Drejk who helped pack and move things on Monday*
If I packed things well, I'd be better paid than I that...

She probably also has a sofa stuck in her staircase* from when she first moved in to her home/apt.

For clarification, this is a 40-minute documentary about the rise and fall of a cult in Oregon.
It's... it's fascinating.

Wile E. Coyote is one of my heroes. Guy never gives up. Except that one time where he was just like "the hell with this" and left.

She's a sofa stuck in her staircase,
A great big purple one, too;Getting it in took two men,
Getting it out will take ten,
Great googly oogly moogly, what will she do then?
She's a sofa stuck in her staircase,
A hefty weight to propel,
But with a squirt of Febreze,
And our elbows and knees,
We'll soon have out her futon as well!

EPIC MOMENTS IN PARENTAL STUPIDITY
(Mine, specifically: as a parent, this is my moment of epic stupidity.)
I forgot what time my Youngest’s school stops taking care of him. I somehow remembered all the other times revolving around the same moment. I remembered that my Eldest had his violin lesson finish up to <time>. I remembered that last time when I picked up my youngest he had to wait for over half an hour; “Hey, that was a little rough on the little guy’s patience - I’ll leave him there a bit longer so he can play more.” I remembered the exact time it would take me to get to school. I planned accordingly.
All while entirely forgetting that my youngest has his part of the school close at half an hour before my Eldest finishes his violin (because that is not really affiliated with the school, being private lessons able to be hosted on school property), which is explicitly why we were there for so long last time.
This was so dumb of me.
So. Daggum. Moronic.
You might ask yourself, “Tactics, how did you manage your feat of such sheer stupidity?“ And, you know, I have to admit, it’s not easy. It requires real work, and dedication. Also, being exceptionally forgetful. Dang it.

Ah, well. Pay a fine. I’m just sorry for those teachers waiting so long for me to pick him up. Ugh, such a jerk move, TL.

I'm assuming it's about the eternally-upcoming 9.0+ quake in California.
Just a totally random thing, I read this sentence this morning, and I was then possessed of a strong urge to listen to "California Earthquake" performed by Cass Elliott. (As an aside, few these days apparently know she did not actually like being called "Mama" (apart from the link, I have been told this by someone who apparently knew her)). Then for the rest of the day her music and her story were on my mind for some reason...
And then I realized today (1 minute left) was her birthday (she would have been 78 or thereabouts--around the same age as my dad. She died just shy of her 33rd birthday due to a heart attack caused in part by severe crash/starvation dieting (another myth, choking was not involved)). Happy birthday to a lady with an amazing voice.
