They are essentially my #1 favorite band. OF. ALL. TIME. EVER.

Funny story. Year 2000. Road trip to NYC with my friends Jessica and Tony and Jessica's little brother John. John was a 16 year old with green hair and a hardcore Green Day fan. We were eating at a diner with little jukeboxes on the tables, and he was flipping through and found that they had Green Day. He has us scrounge up our quarters and we put together the two he needs to play his favorite song.
He hit the wrong button and got "I Saw the Sign".
Priceless.
"Huh, I never knew you were such an Ace of Base fan!"

For some reason seeing "Year 2000" written out like that makes it seem like it's in the future. I've not really thought about it like that since I was around seven.
Also, I am currently semi-addicted to Green Day. Didn't appreciate it back in middle school (actually, had it confused with another band), but now have "Dearly Beloved," "American Idiot," and "Holiday" stuck in my head when I'm thinking.

This really lifted me up. Now I can go face the world with a smile.
What was that glowing object in the sky in that last scene?

No I can drink one and the other makes me break out in hives and makes other people sleepy and stupid.

DAMN SyFy's (grr) cutting. They really are shaving dramatic moments down to maximized commericial time.
I have always hated how movies have been butchered to make room for commercials. They rarely put a commercial break in a spot that would make sense. I Think there is a copy of Die Hard that the cut is in the middle of a scene and when they come back the scene is ended.
The only movie I have scene where the it is cut just right was Animal House, but then again the Director filmed the movie twice, once formatted for network TV and the other for a Theatrical release. Smartest marketing move I have heard of.

"FIFY?"
This emophobic joke brought to you by my hyperactive heart saying "The s%$#, the fan has hit" (or is about to {maybe}). Just asked the matchmaker for advice.aeglos |

I don't normally watch dramatization of true (or any) crime TV shows but I just saw a promo about the Razor Gangs that ruled the streets in Sydney the 1920's.
Interesting period the 1920s -30's, lots of WW1 veterans still coming to terms with the war, laws were passed so chemists (drug stores) could no longer sell cocaine and pubs were forced to shut at 6pm.
Very strict laws regarding the owning of handguns meant that every crook carried a razor and thought nothing about opening somebody up.
Two of the most powerful crime lords in Sydney were madams and they went to war. Having their lads shoot each others street walkers if the prostitute wandered into the others territory.
horrible nasty old days...
But I do like the vibe of the roaring 20's so I will watch the first episode to see if its any good.

And wow, that Champions League final was one of the best football matches I've watched in years. The pass to Pedro's goal... beautiful.
good morning Kajehase,
I could not see the final, maybe Eurosport re-broacast it today
Keep your eyes peeled, this is one that might actually be one of those 1/1000 games that are enjoyable even when you know what'll happen.
