What the deuce...
The weird thing about sending out resumes to places like I have been (dozens and dozens of them) is you never know when someone is randomly going to contact you.
I major motion picture studio in LA wants me for an interview. HR job, so it's nothing that sexy, but I'm not gonna lie - it's kind of awesome.
Very cool. Good luck with that!

Is it because they're bad, naughty minis that need to be punished? :P

WHAT.THE.HELL?
I just finished Corpse Bride. The series is great, but the last episode, the flashback, should have been placed in a different place in the series and the series should have ended with B12. How could they be so stupid?
Is that an anime series? If so, how was it?

I actually recommend it fairly strongly: J11 was very frustrated by the ending, though. I'd say skip forward and watch B13, say, during a dip in the series' intensity sometime after one of the shikibane hime dies, and let B12 end the series, and it's good. I gave it 4 stars.
I think the series may be, underlying, really about two (at least) competing visions of Buddhism. I'd love to have my old master see it and comment.

Cool. I will put in on the list of ones to watch sooner than later. I am working my way through Eden of the East and Claymore. I am also trying to psyche myself up to watch the subbed version of the Deathnote anime. ~grins~

I gave up on Deathnote and went with the films. I had trouble getting into Witchblade for some reason. I watching Black Butler right now. I am not sure it would hold my attention on its own, but it's kind of fun while I am posting and doing other things.

Today I made coffee and sammiches, took inventory, went to the dump with quite a bit of very maggoty trash, tossed a frisbee for a hainty dog, wrestled AC units from their winter depository, and watered some wilty plants.
Did I mention it is 90 degrees?
Well, three day away! Time to do some more fun stuff!
*blink*

I bet you never heard ol' Marshall Dillon say
Miss Kitty have you ever thought of running away
And settling down, would you marry me
If I asked you twice and begged you pretty please?
She'd have said yes in a New York minute; they never tied the knot.
His heart wasn't in it, he just stole a kiss and he rode away.
He never hung his hat up at Kitty's place.
I should've been a cowboy.
Should've learned to rope and ride.
Wearing my six-shooter, ridin' my pony on a cattle drive.
Stealing a young girl's heart. Yeah, just like Gene and Roy.
Sing those campfire songs. Oh, I should've been a cowboy.
I might've had a sidekick with a funny name,
Running wild through the hills chasing Jesse James.
Ending up on the brink of danger,
And riding shotgun with the Texas Rangers.
Go West, young man!
Haven't you been told that
California's full of whiskey and women and gold.
Hidin' out all night beneath the desert star
With a dream in my eye and a prayer my heart.
I should've been a cowboy.
Should've learned to rope and ride.
Wearing my six-shooter, ridin' my pony on a cattle drive.
Stealing a young girl's heart, just like Gene and Roy.

Well it's hard to tell
Who's dream we're in
But the sky fell while we were talking
Amid the bruised and the red lights
Will you call me your darling tonight
It's a dark wind
That's been blowing
It's a steel river rolling
When the dawn cracks
I will be alright
If you call me your darling tonight
We could catch the red tide in our hands
We could crack the code if we had a place to stand
Though I usually would run with rack and ruin
Just look what you've got me doing now
In the long days
Of confusion
In the forked tongue of Lady Suzan
I've got freedom
I've got second sight
If you call me your darling tonight

I have lost my voice today. The kidlet (who is home sick) thinks this is hilarious because I have to use the Boogie Board to write stuff down whenever I need to tell him something. (A Boogie Board is like a magnadoodle for adults.)
DOES HE KNOW THAT ALL CAPS IS SHOUTING?!!!!
Mom, quit yelling! You write too loud! ;P

Yes, he does, and several times today he told me to stop yelling at him. :D

Nice!
Now you have to say that a tantrum involves throwing of the Boogie Board. On second thought, better not. ;P

Hi 8th Dwarf,
I really like Rugby, the rest is spoilerd because of the no-sport-rule
** spoiler omitted **
Aeglos - that is an interesting question with a very complex answer.
There are some very interesting class and cultural divides in Australia. I am going to give some simple stereotypical depictions of the various codes of Football played in Australia.
The most popular code of football in Australia is Australian Rules football it is played in the Southern and Western states and there are teams in the Northern and eastern states. It does reach across class divides. It is a combination of Gaelic Football and an Aboriginal game. It is often derided as kick and giggle or aerial ping pong by those of us in the North East. I have played the game and enjoyed it a lot - I don't like watching it on TV as its all over the place.
Australian Rules football Highlights and Wiki Aritcle
The second most popular is Rugby League - Its was traditionally played by the working classes as it is a professional game as the more wealthy people had the odd notion that sport should be played for love not money (this is no longer the case). It is primarily played in New South Wales and Queensland although there a teams in New Zealand and Victoria.
Rugby League Highlights and Wiki Article
League is a very fast game and good to watch on TV it doesn't get bogged down in Arcane rules like Rugby Union does, but it is far too simplistic at times and it does become a bit repetitive. If the league players would convert to Union we would be unbeatable world champions.
Soccer and Rugby Union alternate between the next most played/watched games
Rugby Union is my favorite game - its like bagpipes when its good it can melt the soul when its bad it can crush it. There are a lot of similarities between Union and League where as League is the game stripped down to the essentials Union is nuanced complex beautiful and bloody frustrating.
Union is the game of Universities and the wealthy - players were not paid and they played because they loved the game. This is no longer the case and the game is just as professional as league. The other thing is it is more international than league with Rugby union playing countries second only to soccer playing countries in number.
Rugby Union Highlights and wiki article
Soccer has had a lot of obstacles to overcome and it has been doing a good job until just recently.
Soccer was initially considered a "girls game" so men that played were considered (mostly good naturedly) to be less than manly. The dives for penalties did not help.
Also it was a Euro immigrant game and the teams and fans were based around ethic lines so old European rivalries would flare up amongst the crowd and there would be riots (Immigrating to Australia - rules are you leave the worst bits of your old homeland in your old homeland - failure to do so makes Australians grumpy) Soccer Australia eventually took the hint and baned ethic based teams and re structured.
After the restructure things were going well - but then Soccer Australia got an attitude and it started insulting the other codes in an un-fun way. Also the South American - Euro Bias of FIFA began to show and then the corruption so Soccer is not liked at the moment.

Hi 8th Dwaf,
wow, thanks for the in-depth explanation.
Sadly all the videos except Union where blocked for me - stupid german copyright laws *shakes fist* The Copyright agency protects the composer of music from me listening to it - STUPID SHIT
Sorry to hear the bit about soccer, the FIFA world cup decisions severely damaged the reputation, and their rules board nearly made me give up on my favorite sport.
In italy rugby almost surpasses soccer in popularity because of the idiot officials and hooligan problems
