Thinking thoughts on what to do for a campaign, very small and very focused so it can be dropped into any "world"

3 issues of time to read. Only so much I can read about "men are pigs, sorry pigs."

Although the stuff Vince McMahon wrote about Randy Savage was cool.

Swimming in the warm summer rain yesterday evening with the kid and her cousin. Best fun I've had in a year. Laying on the bottom of the pool and listening to the raindrops on the surface above was peacifying.

The Exchange

I bet it was. Where was that at?

We've got a new guy running a sorc for the first time. He's never used magic with any of his characters before either. He played a Jedi once, a long time ago when I was running SAGA Star Wars, but that system isn't anything like vancian magic. He also didn't have much in the way of force powers either, he mostly hit stuff with his lightsaber. I'm really looking forward to him blowing stuff up.

Sunlight...what is this mystery thing. We have clouds, clouds and more clouds. The Humidity is awful.

Sorry. Distracted by a book.

We have a pool at the condo in Manila. Nice place.

The sun comes up, the sun goes down, the sun comes up, the sun goes down, and nobody knows how it works!

The last few years we've had really weird weather for late May and early June (read: cold and wet some years, and record heat in others). For the past week it's been overcast and rainy, but now it's all sunny.

It is part of the tortures my parents used on me as a boy - "Go outside, spend time in the sun (it burns, it burns), go to the beach, play sport (it had better be Rugby says my father)..."

There was only one consolation as my flabby white frame roasted lobster red and I was smashed into the burning glass-like sand by beach rugby playing friends. The hot babes in bikinis......

You know how insects seem to live faster than humans? Well, since the gods are so big, their time is about a million times slower than that of humans. We have a few more billion years or so I believe.

I hate having to make a will save.

I've got a gnoll cleric of Gorum who acts stupidly, but it's always her fellow Gorumite, a human barbarian, who fails his Will saves. I hate having to make Reflex saves.

In the real world, I hate Fort saves the most.

Liberty's Edge

I'm afraid I don't worry about Will saves very often. In the game of RL, my GM never tells me when I have to make one. So . . . I always fail?

Liberty's Edge

Alternatively, if that was in reference to one of my posts . . . awkward.

I could see that. I also had to leave the pool in Mexico when the 16 yr old Spanish lass removed her top.
