I always forget that hero points exist. Doesn't everyone start with one?
Yes, everyone should have started with one, and I'm supposed to hand out roughly 1/hour in a F2F game (3-4/scenario).
Obviously, I, too, frequently forget they exist. In more combat-heavy games, I use combats as a reminder - at the end of a combat, hand out a Hero Point. This is the first roleplay-heavy scenario I've run, and clearly, my M.O. is to just straight up forget.
Sorry.

The GM's shoulder angel lets the shoulder demon's tongue go. It snaps back into the demon's face, and the demon disappears with a poof.
The shoulder angel smiles triumphantly.

That's it, folks.
Please post what you'd like to do for Downtime (or post questions about Downtime if you have them), and I'll get the Chronicles out this weekend.
Variel Dardala |
Nah, Guaril's fine, if a little sleazy. Now, if I had the chance to punch Torch for 8 days, I might take that.
Downtime: Earn Income as a guide with Scouting Lore
Trained, Task level 0: DC 14
1d20 + 5 ⇒ (19) + 5 = 24
Woot! Critical success! 2sp per day x 8 days = 1.6 gold! *rolls in the cash*
Variel Dardala |
Thanks for running, Soup! Scenarios that aren't combat focused are more work than ones that are. Now I'll crack open the pdf and get ready to run it for the next batch.

Yes, thank you for running it. I'm already running it for Outpost III and learnt a lot from playing it.
Downtime: Earn Income.
Trained in Lore: Scouting: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (17) + 4 = 21
That's (5cp + my proficiency rank of 4) = 9cp x 8 days = 72 cp
Variel Dardala |
That's (5cp + my proficiency rank of 4) = 9cp x 8 days = 72 cp
I think you're reading that wrong, Ix. You cross reference your task level (zero) with your proficency rank (trained) to get 5cp per day. You don't add anything to the base amount. For a non-critical success, that's 5cp x 8 days = 40 cp, or 4 silver.

This is correct.
Step 1. Take your Character Level and subtract 2. Floor it at 0. That is your Task Level.
Step 2. Roll the d20. DC for Task Level 0 is 14, DC for Task Level 1 is 15, and I haven't memorized it beyond that.
Step 3. If it's a failure or success, look it up under your Task Level on Table 4-2 (page 236) of the Core Rulebook. If it's a critical success, look it up in the same table, but under Task Level + 1 / Success.
Step 4. Multiply that by 8 for characters that are not field-commissioned.
For field commissioned, repeat steps 1-3, but multiply it by 4, and add it to your first result.
Cheat sheet for 8-day Earn Income:
Character Level 1: Fail = 0.08 gp, Success = 0.40 gp, Crit Success = 1.60 gp
Character Level 2: same as Level 1, because the Task Level got floored!

Rolling for my own Downtime:
Performance: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (20) + 6 = 26

Variel, Hookie, Ixlilton: Your Chronicles can be downloaded here.
Please let me know if anything needs to be changed.
Milady, Regus, Gazard: Let me know what your downtime choices are. I can also leave the Earn Income blank if you prefer that.

Oh, sorry. Thought it worked the same as the CRB, where Success adds your proficiency rank. Anyway, thanks for clearing that up and thanks for the sheets, Watery!

Well, thanks a lot!
I will see about running it also-- very fun scenario.
And it's one of the first in PF2, where I had not much of an idea of what would happen next. Seemed very open as to the possibilities!
And thanks to all my comrades in arms for a lot of fun RP!
Milady will offer a little song - from her - and dance - with Chippendale - routine for a bit over a week, at the Absalom HQ.
Come see Milady!'
Performance, trained: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (4) + 8 = 12
But, alas, after a few initial spectators, the word of mouth is terrible... and the show is a failure.
Milady is quite happy nonetheless:
"That means I am so talented I am ahead of our times!"
Be SAFE all!
And roll high...
Milady' |
Thanks for sharing those files!
I just had a quick look, but, if I may-- for Crafting, I believe that the number for a batch of ammunition is 10 (4 being for consumables).
Regus |
For downtime I will work my dayjob
Mining Lore: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (20) + 3 = 23
Thanks for running and playing guys! I enjoyed it even if I was slow to post at the end. My job has blown up with all the craziness going on.

You needed 4/5 Secondary Objectives to qualify for the boon.
Gazard, Milady and Regus: same link
Edit: It's rather unfortunate about the Secondary objectives, because both of the ones you missed were relatively co-variant. Themolin was staying at a warehouse for fear of Barralbus (the man who was harassing the receptionist); if you had found the warehouse, you would have fought (and presumably defeated) Barralbus, then you wouldn't have needed to convince Themolin, which means you would have gotten the last 3 Treasure Bundles.

Gazard, Milady, nd Regus - can you confirm you have your Chronicle amd no changes are required? If so, I will close this campaign.
Milady' |
Hi!
I just got the Chronicle, and it is fine, thank you.
Sorry, when I opened this thread last time there was only the first line in your previous post ("You needed 4/5 Secondary Objectives to qualify for the boon.").
I imagine you edited it and added the rest... but I never saw it.
So only saw the info' on MIlady's being added just now.
Sorry for the delay.
All good for me, and a hello and good-bye to all!

I'm going to inactivate this campaign. Please PM me if there is anything else that comes up.
Good luck everyone!
