I'm close to having a character done.
Having some trouble figuring out how many feats I should have as a 1/2 elf cleric?
How many aliases can I have, and how do you create them? (EDIT: Never mind, I think I found it).
You should have 1 feat, and 1 trait. In addition you will have the Bonus Feat: Skill Focus in 1 skill.

Lots of Aliases...xdahnx has dozens, he has actually been creating different aliases for different NPCs for his games...

Not an accurate representation, but the attire does match what Raoh would wear.
Raoh, I'm not sure if you saw Branth's question earlier:
Raoh, I read your spoiler. It seems like Raoh might be a good friend for Branth to have made in the recent past. Given her selected trait "Into Enemy Territory," she would ideally have a friend in Riddleport who is tied into some of the shadier underworld aspects. Would that be Raoh, perchance?

OK. Got it. Now to figure out which one to take and if I should tweak my skills/chosen deity/domains.
I like Desna, but Sarenrae's healing and offensive domains are attractive.

Oh, just from the brief info I've got in the beta rules, Desna seems much more interesting to me. In case that matters. It shouldn't. But I put it out there anyway. ;)

Good idea. The two of them together would make an excellent team

I don't know if this helps Erik, but the two major religions in Riddleport are Cayden Cailean and Callistra.
OK. I'll look into them as well.
Desna interested me because of her domain in travel. Would explain a 1/2-elf cleric in Riddleport. Sarenrae caught my eye because of the healing domain as well as the offensive domains (which this cleric could use help with)...
I'll firm it up and get it posted this evening when I get home from work.

if we need arcane instead of melee i could try and come up with a wizard by the end of today
Heh - I'd be pretty confident we're going to need a rogue as well. Probably makes more sense for me to drop the ranger and go with some arcanist.
I dont know how necessary you guys think that is. I'm happy to replace Caladan with a Wizard or Sorceror if you like. Dave, do you think it'll be an issue if we have no Arcane magic capabilities?

Steve Geddes |

Okay, just a question. Do you guys want to spend a lot of time role-playing the gambling or should we skim over that part and move on to more meaty stuff? I know my tabletop group enjoyed playing out some of the gambling, but I mould like to know what you guys want to do.
I'm not fussed one way or the other - although I'd be happy to give the gamblers a chance to strut their stuff. :)

im game for whatever
I love any kind of role playing. Branth doesn't care much about the gambling, but that doesn't mean she won't take an interest in what is happening at the tables and such.

i do have noob question... how do i link a roll in post? been trying to figure it out and have no clue
There should be a button at the bottom of your window when you are posting that says "Show" beside a field that says "BBCode tags you can use".
To link to a die roll using Invisible Castle, you would do the following. Ignore the asterisks and the text inside them as I am using that to keep this link from formatting:
[url=*your link here, such as*http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/1891340/] Witty Text to Display Your Link [*hi*/url]

When it functions, it will look something like this:
Hey DM Dave I just rocked out this fantastic roll here. Do I get 10000 xp or what?

I have another newbie question. Do we update our profile's as we go (with regard to hp, equipment, etcetera)?
I've spent 1 gold on entry, exchanged 1 gold for 10 silver tooth tokens and then wagered 5 of them - I've just been updating my profile with each post. Is that right?
...apologies again for being a nueless clewb :)

That's great actually. That way, if for some reason I have to NPC your character for a bit everything is updated.

Hi - I dont know if it's the done thing or not, but could I suggest we pass on our initiative modifiers to DM Dave and have him roll initiative for us when necessary (assuming he's happy to do that)? This would allow him to set the scene at the start of a combat, including our initiative order, without having to wait for an initial response from each of us which is basically just one die roll.
I'm not really fussed if we don't, but it seems like a purely mechanical component of the game which could result in unnecessary delays. (alternatively we could make it optional? So those players who are happy to cede the roll can have the DM roll it, but those who want to seal their own fate can still roll and post?)
What do you think?

One note about XP. To keep with the scaling of the AP we will be using the standard 3.5 XP progression. I have been running a tabletop group through Second Darkness and they have only hit 5th level at the start of The Armageddon Echo, even though the AP calls for them to start at 7th level.

Uathach of Iomedae |

XP scaling sounds fine.
I also would be happy with DM Dave rolling intiative at start of combat.
Only problem was not knowing what square I was actually in at the start of combat.
How are they faring as Pathfinder characters? The hit point parioty should be equalizing soon I would think, 2 levels below the adventure might start resulting in some deaths...maybe run a side adventure to get them to 6th, or you could throw Chapter XP bonuses in there to keep them at level.?

The last battle of Children of the Void really did a number on my players. Our monk died and we almost lost the rest of our party as well. However I decided to be nice and when the last member of the party went down, I had the drow leave and let them all recover, except for the monk who was too far gone.

Branth Bummugboar |

To cut down on time rolling dice I would like to propose that each of you post 10 initiative rolls in your profile. Then we will just repeat them over and over.
Okay, done.
Can we update these periodically, like when we level and take a feat or something that will improve our initiative bonus?
