yup and there's one on Monte Cook's boards as well. At this point they might as well put threads up into all of the boards, to make it more "even"

Didn't somebody just point that out? :D

Probably, but it was never going to be anything but informal anyway without prior planning.

eh - the poll isn't scheduled to end til 2010 anyway - so posts being before or after one another in the first few days are meaningless in the long run

Oh..

Yeah, that kinda makes it rather pointless anyway.

Voted for Paizo, just like I'll do in the presidential election...

Not that I would suggest double voting, but I just noticed that I was able to vote from home and again from my work computer.

Just saying...

That should cover the vote I can't cast because they're blocked from here.

Well, ever since 4e was announced, you just can't post on EN World any more, unless you're either totally pro 4e or don't say anything. If you do say anything - BAM! Banned for a couple of days, no warning or anything.

voted. only four votes to tie. Maybe someone could move this thread to a more visible spot on the boards? Not that I didn't like most of the books on the poll, but I had to support my favorite game company. :)

Is a shame there's all this mud slinging.

Draconomicon, Magic Item Compendium, Spell Compendium, Complete Book of Eldritch Might, Pathfinder: Rise of the Runelords, Ptolus, amd Tome of Horrors I were all awesome products.

Makes me wonder why Arcana Unearthed isn't on there. It's just my preference, but I think the Forgotten Realms Campaign Setting was better then the Eberron Campaign Setting.

There ARE some great products there (I own almost all of them), but I believe in terms of quality and enjoyability that Pathfinder wins hands down!

if you look at the older results for the other 2 polls (the wotc and 3rd party polls) if it wasn't on the top 10 in one of those it wasn't included in this poll

Me, too. We're ahead by 20. I like Eberron, but in the end, Golarion is better.

I'm not mudslinging- it's the difference between being a sore loser and saying "the other team just played better than we did, well done.".

So, Vote 1 Paizo!!!

The problem isn't that there are people voting who aren't regulars. (Hi guys!) The problem is that the nature of the poll has been subverted from the original poster's intent. It's turned from a Single Best Product poll into a Which Setting Has The Most Rabid Fans poll. It's still interesting information, just not quite the same thing.

My ENWorld reply:

As the guy who linked this poll to the Paizo messageboards, let me qualify by stating I have been a long-time member of ENWorld forums, and remember back when ENWorld started as the 3Ed Rumours website. I don't post here (ENWorld) often, but I frequently lurk in forum topics that interest me.

Now to qualify my vote, for Pathfinder.

Yes, there are many good products in this list, Eberron is indeed one of them. But for my bang-for-buck, Pathfinder wins hands-down.

Even comparing Eberron not as a single book, but as a campaign setting, to Pathfinder, an Adventure Path, Eberron excels at creating an original game setting, but Pathfinder excels at creating original game adventures - adventures which translate to more game-time at my table!

To date, there has not been much by way of adventures released for Eberron, which is unfortunate, as it is a fascinating setting. On the other hand, Pathfinder contains almost entirely adventure, describing the campaign setting by adventuring through it, one encounter at a time. Pathfinder has made it easy for me as a GM to run a campaign, and I now have a regular group of enthusiastic players since no other time during the life of 3Ed. For that, I am deeply indebted to Paizo and their incredible Runelords!

With 1118 votes...

Eberron Campaign Setting (WotC) 19.86%
Ptolus (MP) 15.38%
Pathfinder: Rise of the Runelords (Pz) 14.31%

With 222 votes all by itself, Eberon is looking pretty solid.

TerraDave on ENWorld forums wrote:

And with 1701 votes...I was wrong,

Pathfinder: Rise of the Runelords (Pz) 20.05%
Eberron Campaign Setting (WotC) 18.81%
Ptolus (MP) 13.17%

We have another lead change.

Hey guys,

When I first posted ENWorld's poll over here, Pathfinder looked popular, but running a way behind the poll leaders. To be honest, I wasn't surprised to see Eberron up there, it's a WotC product with a strong following. But Ptolus? I guess that one took me a little by surprise.

Others before have talked about the "shared gaming experience" - talk to any group of gamers, and there's more than a fair chance a number of them will have played through Keep on the Borderlands, Temple of Elemental Evil or the Dragonlance series, and have fond memories of their character's exploits there. Well, I see Pathfinder as another milestone moment in our "shared gaming experience", and I have to say, I'm really proud to be part of that experience by running my players through Runelords now.

ENWorld poll has been a good opportunity to raise the profile of Pathfinder among those who may not have experienced it yet for themselves, and I have been really impressed how the community here has jumped on board and supported the Pathfinder vote.

Cheers!

There's a new poll up with the top 5 choices from the previous poll.

Should be interesting to see how Pathfinder does after winning the first poll. About 30% of the previous votes were for product no longer in the running. Will Pathfinder be able to pull in enough extra votes to make it to the top 2, or will those votes go to Eberron and Ptolus?

Amusingly, Eberron is out to an early lead once more. Let's see some more Pathfinder votes there. Follow the link, folks. It's a brand new poll.

Someone (who know how to embed a link) should do this second poll as a new post to let everyone who did vote, know there is a new poll.
