Congratulations, Winners!

Well, though I wasn't one of the lucky ones (and truthfully, didn't expect to be, as I later realized I overpriced my item), I am enjoying reading the winning entries, and look forward to the country entries. I was sort of looking forward to creating a country, but now realizing the time that would require, I'll just settle back, and wait for the others to vote on.

Good job, all!

*grins evilly, whilst thinking of ways to employ some of these items in his next campaign...*

I will second the congratulations. The winners showed creativity and imagination. Good luck to all of you in Round 2.

Yes, congrats to those who made it to the next round and I look forward to seeing their future entries.

Agreed, congrats all!

Better you writing up a country in a week than me. ;)

Congrats all!

And writing an entire country in one week? Better you than me. ;)

Scarab Sages

You folks wrote some very cool items, many that I will wahoo for use in my campaigns at home. I look forward to reading all of the entries for Round 2.

Go team!

Without doubt.

It's gonna be a fun ride, as we can already see from the posts to date!

Although I cannot say I'm disappointed, I'm definitely a gracious loser and I'd just like to wish all the winners, as well as the alternates, the best of luck and here's to hoping that the slew of quality continues.

Congratulations to all the finalist. God Bless you all in your writing for the next round. I'll be praying for you all!

Congrats! Well done and well played. Can't wait to see what you have for me next week. Try not to worry overmuch about the sour grapes thread. Fish gotta swim, people gotta gripe. Just the way it is. Instead I hope all 32 of you are worrying about how you are going to knock my socks off with your countries. GOOD LUCK! Can't wait to see what you have in store for us.

Thank you all.

It is perhaps a tired old cliche to say this, but I was actually quite (pleasently) suprised I made into the second round (it is uncharacteristically lucky.) I wasn't especially hopeful, but I'd given it my best shot anyway. Apparently that was a better shot than I'd genuinely expected, considering that I knew I was going to be up against very stiff competition.

I've sadly not had chance to have a look over all the other winning entries yet - though I intend to - (just one or two and they look pretty damn good), since I wanted to start work on round two right away and it was late evening over here. (Naturally, as it transpires, this weekend is full of pre-organised stuff like wargames conventions and mandatory family events, so the sooner I get cracking, the better!)

With that in mind, I thought before I go to crypt and meditate to regain my spells, I'd better show my face (I say face, more sort of lack of face, really...) on the boards at some point, as I might not get much chance before the deadline comes around.

So, congratulations to everyone who isn't me who made it to round two and good luck in the next round to us all! May the best Lich win!

Drat. I nearly made the whole post without my natural Lich racial arrogance showing through. Well, you can't say I didn't try!

Congratulations to the 32. Wish I would've been in there to mix it up for Round 2.

True thanks to Clark, Wolfgang, and Erik for the amount of work they did on this. As well as Vic and Cos for keeping the forums running.

And, wait, Erik didnt sleep with anyone? I demand a recount!

and with that, I declare the bar open. Drinks on the house!

Gary did all of the real work with respect to the technology.

Congratulations to all the winners and good luck on the next round, I'm interested to see what you come up with!

Many good wishes to the next round. I hope to see some good Countries. :)

Well a double thanks to Gary for everything he did. And Lisa too, for coming up with the idea in the first place.

cheers!

Congrats to the winners. I think the judges did choose several very good items, from some obviously very talented and creative people.

I'm really looking forward to seeing what you all can come up with in later rounds.

Scarab Sages Marathon Voter Season 6, Star Voter Season 7

yes yes!!! CONGRATS TO ALL THE WINNERS!

I'm going to check out the items that beat mine...they better be good!! *shakes fist menacingly*

just kidding, grats all!

Guess I won't have to write up my hobgoblin "Rome" country now. Nothing like a phalanx of hobgoblins...

Liberty's Edge

Indeed, very well done to the Top 32, there are some great items there. Really looking forward to the country entries.

Oh, and it looks like a number of the winners are fairly new to these boards, or are infrequent posters, so "Welcome!" also.

The Exchange

I'll add my well wishes to the 32. While I did not make the cut, seeing your entries helps me understand why that happened! Great stuff everyone. I look forward to seeing everything else you create going forward.

Thank To Erik, Wolfgang and Clark for reading all of our entries. If it is possible to let the non-32 see your comments, even if not in a public forum, I would appreciate it. I welcome criticism as an chance to get better. With that said, I'll certainly understand if that is logistically impossible.

As a final note, this was a brilliant idea and needs to be an annual or semi-annual contest. If they can run American Idol, Top Chef, Top Design and all of those shows 2-3 times a year, RPG Superstar can go that route as well! I know I'll throw my hat back in the ring.

Well yes, I'm also going to have to admit I'm disappointed, and that all of the Top 32 items were so awful. [/sour grapes]

..Kidding!

Seriously, I put in a submission, I didn't come through to round 2, but congratulations to the fine folks who did. You have obviously all put in a lot of effort for these, and you deserve your positions.

Thanks also to Paizo, and to Erik, Wolfgang, and Clark for 'DMing' this competetion, it's really been great to be a part of it. Even the folks at my (day job) work were asking how I was doing it it, whether I'd heard whether I'd won yet.

I, for one, crapped myself twice when I found my name on the board, and have been drunk ever since.

Also, you're awesome!

I've been watching your PHB PSAs for a few months now, and I just noticed your name on one of the other threads.

I've said it before in other threads, but huge congrats to all the winners and alternates!

I'm really digging reading other peoples' items.
