I am working on a plan to get another company to pick up the magazines in London and ship them out to everyone. Basically, I own part of a company in the UK called Cerberus Entertainment (they make the Warmachine and Hordes minis in Europe). My parnter there has agreed to have his guys get in their van and go to London, pick up the mags, and ship them out. I am now trying to find out where the magazines are so I can give him an address to go to. I am also hoping we can get the addresses of the folks who subscribed through TPFG so we can send those out too. While they are there, I will have them pick up all the magazine back issues, so we should be able to send out copies that were lost, never arrived, etc.
I am waiting for a return email from someone at Esdevium who should be able to help me with this. With any luck, he will get back to me today.
Like you, I have given up on TPFG. Hopefully we can get Cerberus the magazines in quick order and get the magazines shipped out. Wish me luck.

Wow, amazing.
Honestly Lisa, I didn't expect something this drastic this soon. I fully support it, I think it's a great idea and justified, just... well, I'm honest - I didn't expect you would finally give up on TPFG that soon.

Thanks for the update Lisa, I just won back a LOT of respect for Paizo & especially for you. This is really the way to go. Awesome!

Lisa and Joshua, thanks for the good news.
That's the extra mile in customer service we've come to know and love from you guys. My faith is restored and my patience renewed. I'll wait for 150/359 to arrive, knowing that some guys in a van are sorting it out. I love it!!

Quick update:
We know where the physical copies of the missing magazines are currently located and we know why there's been a delay and we're working to get everything resolved to get the final issues mailed out ASAP. Unfortunately, I cannot provide any additional details at this time.
May I ask why you can't say any details? Especially about the WHY?
Seriously, considering how long we had to wait so far, and considering the more than idiotic way TPFG behaved, we deserve to know more.evilash |

For example: if TPFG is about to file for bankrupcy, but haven't done it yet, I would guess that would be a reason why Paizo couldn't say anything.

Hello Lisa,
hello Joshua, thank you for your efforts to solve the "TPFG problem" and keeping us informed.
Before re-posting the issues, could you please give my updated address (the one used for PF and GMM subscription) to your partner at Cerberus Entertainment?
Otherwise if you send the remaining Dragon and Dungeon issues to my old address, all your efforts would be vain, for I moved to Austria in the meantime and the issues would be undeliverable again.
Thanks again!
Greetings,
Günther

Sounds good. I realy appreciate that Paizo takes action ! Thanks a lot !
But I think it is too early to cheer ! Maybe TPFG has another nasty surprise for all of us...........Belfur |

Hi Günther,
seeing you posting the same thing over and over again, I take it that you already sent a email to customer service or posted this on the customer service message board in vain. Although the Paizonians also frequent this thread, I think you might have more success there (especially now as the magazines are resent by some competent people).Hope you get your issues of Dungeon and/or Dragon, hope you will adept to your new environment quickly.

Lisa - Any news on the cunning plan yet?
Have you managed to get the missing magazines back from TPFG? Are you able to give us any sort of update on a despatch date as yet?
The cunning plan proceeds afoot (in my best Black Adder voice). :) My team from Cerberus is standing by and are trying to set up a time to pick up the magazines from TPFG. I've heard that the final issues are all packed up and ready to ship, so hopefully, once they pick up the magazines, there will only be labelling and posting to go. Once they are shipped out, I will let everyone know right away.

Uhm, I'm not sure I like what I'm hearing... but maybe it's just not clear enough for me.
1. Which issues are we talking about now? "Final issues" sounds like 359 & 150 - is that what you were referring to?
2. How long do you expect this to take? Are we talking about another 2 weeks until they ship? So another 4 weeks at least until we get them?
3. What about the STILL (!) missing Dungeon issue 149? What do you plan to do about that? It's about TWO months now that I wait on my magazine!
Thanks for your update, but seriously - basically it's just the same "please wait another few weeks for the magazine you already paid" line we've been hearing for weeks and weeks now.

I noticed the magazines i chose are shipping now.. various older numbers... cannot help but wonder if they will arrive sooner than 149 or 150?
Its become a bit repetitive, please wait some more.. i raised the alarm 3 weeks out.. this is the tent? Twelft? Lost count quite frankly...
US subscribers have never afaik been asked to wait longer than the newsstands.. and by comparison this is like a sick joke!
Medriev |
Still happy to wait for the cunning plan to work but how long is this going to take. Could have driven to TPFG twelve times over to get my magazines in the time I've been waiting.
Seriously, why are the niceties of arranging a pick up time being observed. These are our products that we have already paid for. Could someone please ship them to us or send replacements. We don't ask any more than that.

No Dungeon Nr 149 !!
No Dungeon Nr 150 !!
No Pathfinder (ok, might take a few more days to arrive)
Another week has passed ..........!!!
Oh, I know: " be patient, everthing is just fine, the mags are clearly still arriving.....and there is still that cunning plan..."
It seem useless to post in this thread, as nobody is able to give any report on the status of shipping.
Under this circumstances I am not willing to give Paizo new money for a Pathfinder subcription...
Sorry to say that, but this situation is going on and on and Paizo doesn`t seem very reliable in handling their shipping !

email to customer service, should be around page 4 or 5.. a similar offer ;)
Yeah, came a bit to the same conclusion, and with some of the other details.
1) example of dungeon and rpga merging.. (had me stop buying it alltogether, started again late age of worms.. oh, how i cursed!)
2) i really like having 3 adventures a magazine
3) overall halving the content..

I know I said that I would be patient with the new plan to get us our missing issues but I'm afraid in the absence of any updates, over a week on, that patience is running out. I've just been browsing other threads about delivery problems in Canada and the US and subscribers are being sent replacement issues fairly promptly.
I've asked it before and got no answer so I'll try asking again - at what point will Paizo start sending replacement issues to the UK and European subscribers that it has let down? Blaming TPFG is all very well but this is not the first time there have been problems. In the two years I have received Dungeon and Dragon by subscription I have had to have replacement issues at least twice and they have arrived late at least another four times. In that same period, the magazines I had to have replaced are the only items of post that got "lost in the mail" (apart from that tax rebate I'm sure they owe me!). Paizo clearly did not solve the previous problems with TPFG and so we are all still posting here, two months after the thread began.
Please could this post be regarded as me formally declaring my Dragon 359 and Dungeon 150 as missing and requesting replacement issues. I'm afraid I no longer care whether they are with Paizo, with TPFG or somewhere in the Iron Wastes, please could someone send me what I have paid for asap.
Thanks
Kamelion |
I'm of the same mind as Medriev. Paizo has always had the rule that you need to wait six weeks before declaring your magazine missing and asking for a replacement. We are now well past that for Dungeon #150, and the same deadline is fast approaching for Dragon #359.
Can we have a firm date please for when will receive our magazines? If not, I also formally request that replacement magazines be sent to me asap. We have been patient above and beyond the bounds of reason. Thanks.

I wish I had a firm date for you guys, but I don't. We have been working all week trying to get my company in the U.K. in touch with TPFG. They have the magazines at TPFG that we need to use to ship to you guys, so until we get those issues from TPFG's warehouse, there is nothing that we can do. We have been told that TPFG wants the magazines out of the warehouse, which we are thrilled to do, but I need them to contact my company in the UK so they can arrange for pickup. Once that is done, I can get you a clear timeline, but while I am at the whim of TPFG, there is not much I can do except continue to badger them.
I know this sucks. I know that this isn't how Paizo likes to do business. I lay awake every night rolling around in bed because I hate how this is all happening. And I feel absolutely powerless to do anything about it. :/ TPFG has my magazines and I need THOSE magazines to ship to you guys. We don't print tons of extras and the magazines allocated to Europe are in THEIR warehouse. You can see my frustration.
You can rest assured that the resolution of these final issues and getting them to you as quickly as possible is the top priority of myself and my staff until it is resolved. If everything was under my control, then you would have already had your magazines. But unfortunately, the relationship that has served us fairly well for over 4 years fell down in a blazing pile of ash just in time for the last issues to ship.
Asking for a replacement issue isn't the answer either, because the issues are not missing...they just haven't been shipped yet. Besides, all of our replacement issues for Europe are in the TPFG's warehouse! Once Cerberus picks up all the magazines from them, not only will they be able to ship out the final issues of Dragon and Dungeon, but they will be able to send out replacement issues too for older issues that went missing. But we can't do that until we get those #$@*% issues!
If you want a refund for your final issues, and I wouldn't blame you if you do, then please contact customer service and they will take care of you. But if you want your final issues, then you are just going to have to be patient a while longer. The magazines are there. They will ship. I just don't have an exact date yet because it is out of my hands at the moment and thus I don't have the ability to set a date.
Again, I know that this is as frustrating as all get out! You may not believe it, but I am probably as frustrated, if not more so, than you guys are. It is no fun being powerless in a situation and unable to change things at the pace you want. But things will get fixed. The magazines will ship. And once they do, we will make sure everybody gets a copy.
Once more, my deepest apologies for this fiasco. It isn't the way we wanted Dragon and Dungeon magazines to go out with our loyal fans in Europe.
-Lisa

This is getting ridiculous! I have still not received Dungeon #149 or #150. Paizo should have sent out replacement issues a long time ago to their customers. I was going to get a subscription for Pathfinder but the way Paizo has been handling this matter has made me reconsider that. Despite having already paid for #149 and #150 I´m starting to suspect that I will never get to see those last two issues in my mailbox but I hope I'm wrong...

...Lots of stuff...
Lisa, for my part, this kind of frank disclosure goes a long way and I appreciate you taking the time to make the situation clear. If you can't give us a firm date yet but you can explain why that is, then it's good enough for me for now. I just want the magazines, and if the choice really is either wait or get a refund, then I will wait. Thanks again.

Just a question:
If you finally got hold on the magazines, how do you know, who already got Dungeon 149 (as there are a lot of people on this forum, who are so fortunate to have them already) and who has not - like me?Klapperman |

Good enough explanation for me. Frustrating sure, but I'd rather wait another 2 months than never recieve it at all. Thank you for the update Lisa.
