What's Your Party's Details for SC? (e.g. how many and what are they playing as?)

Shackled City Adventure Path

151 to 200 of 302 << first < prev | 1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5 | 6 | 7 | next > last >>

I started the SCAP (for the third time) with a new group (well, ok 50% of them were) of newbies last fortnight.

Playing in the Forgotten Realms setting they made:

A big, bald, nasty, (and smelly) portly chondathan fighter (who once was a thug/member of the Zhentarim) male human with a handlebar moustache and a greatmorningstar, a real bear with attitude. AL: NE.

A violet-skinned/haired female (chondathan human parents and raised in Waterdeep) tiefling rogue/monk with a javelin fetish and desire to become immortal (eh?) AL: CN (good tendancies).

A tall, dark and handsome (waist-length-haired) Calashite (young human) man (fighter) with an ancestral greatsword and a total devotion to Shaundakul. Lives with his granny (on good old Lava, Yay!) and needs to pay an expensive weekly fee for special medicine (for granny) to a (charleton) healer. Cant wait to he finds out and it all kicks off! AL: N (good tendz).

A dirty (dosent bathe or change his clothes), smelly old calashite man in his fifties who claims to be the voice of the city (urban druid of Cauldron) who suffers from fever dreams involving dancing chairs and talks to walls and has a host of rats and insects about him at all times. AL: N.

A very short halfling monk (strongheart) who is an exemplar of 'little man syndrome/jerkness and feels the need to be very LOUD and worryingly ALFA-MALE AT ALL TIMES! I know as the DM I shouldnt be thinking like this but I hope this character is destroyed/killed/maimed very soon as (the player has decided a utterly shrill and high pitched voice is perfect for this character of his) it reeeeaaaaaly grates on me! AL: LN.

Lastly, we have a funny looking (burnt as a child so dresses in heavy hoods and robes) female moonelf fighter (archer) who does nothing all game except watch and then occasionally bursts into action! (this character is deaf and dumb and has flaws but tons of feats) AL: NG.

We're four games into the AP, about to go into the first big dunge.

Playing in Greyhawk, using the maps that show Sasserine and Cauldron.

6 characters, 8th level, about to enter Vaprak's Voice, again..

Arjuna - human male - Fighter 6 / Wizard 1 / Arcane Archer 1
Bluestone - dwarf male - Rogue 8
Helthic - dwarf male - Paladin 3 / Fighter 5
Searok - dwarf male - Fighter 6 / Battlerager 2 (net class)
Soloon - human male - Cleric 6 / Radiant Servant of Pelor 2
Vander - human male - Holy Warrior 8 (from Green Ronin's Righteous Might book)

They are resting up after getting the backsides handed to them by the three hags. Confusion & dominate work wonders!

3 characters, all gestalted--
human fighter/rogue
human monk/wizard
kalashtar psion/cleric of St. Cuthbert

They are about halfway through Life's Bazaar.

Playing in Greyhawk.

Currently five players, though I wouldn't mind going to six.

Chandra, female human druid 2, with a big (i.e. riding) dog companion and the mark of the beast trait.

Craven, male human spellthief 2. I've never run a spellthief before; should be interesting.

Dorse, male human sorcerer 2, with the wyrm blooded trait, as well as the draconic heritage (black, of course) and draconic breath feats.

Hrothgar, male dwarf cleric (Pelor) 1/fighter 1 (so he can use his inherited dwarven waraxe; he's mainly going to be a cleric). He also has the scarred soul trait.

Valaina, female elf ranger 2, who fights with scimitar and kukri.

Playing in Homebrew mishmash world:

This is my third time running the Shackled City!

Currently:
Tusk - Half-Orc Barbarian 2
Finklesprig - Halfling Rogue 2
Kelos - Human Druid 2
Kresk - Human Wizard (Necromancer) 2

They're about to go down to the Malachite Hold. Should be good!

1/2 orc fighter 8 LG
human fighter 8 N
human sorcerer 8 N
human wizard/ rogue 7/1 N
human cleric 8 NG
halfling ranger/ bard 7/1 CN
1/2 dragon sorcerer 4 CN

\

I just started running this a few weeks ago...

Human Cleric of Pelor, heading towards Radiant Servant
Dwarvan Ranger (archer), heading towards Stalker of Kharash
Fire Genasi Wizard, heading towards Elemental Savant
Elven Scout
Human Rogue
Human Druid

Human Warlock
Half Orc Barbarian
Human Cleric of Kord
Half Elf Wizard
Elf Rogue

Large, large party.

Dwarf Barbarian 2 (leaving soon)
Elf Cleric/Fighter 1/1

Human Cleric 2
Human Paladin 2
Human Ranger/Wizard 1/1

That's nothin'. We've had more PCs than that - one of our current campaigns has twelve PCs, with only four players. Yes, we're insane.

As for our new SC campaign, we've been slightly more economical. Three players (all female, interestingly enough) and six PCs, with one...uh...additional character. We started off at 2nd level (as a few of the characters needed level adjustments) and are playing in a world of my creation - Islandia, a world of water and islands. Any and all races allowed, along with any and all classes from any D20 book. Our heroes have just returned from their first foray into Jzadirune.

Here are our current PCs:

Ayame - female half Fincayran (race of my own creation, based off a race in the Lost Years of Merlin chronicles by T.A. Baron; they have wings and look like humans) unfettered (from Arcana Evolved)
Shiore - female elf psionic warrior (with telepathic powers)
Wrast - male elf fighter (with a metalic arm)
Nardakk - orc spirit shaman (I took a leaf from Eberron's book, and Nardakk's tribe is much like the Gatekeeper orcs in Khorvaire's Shadow Marches)
Dip Amberquip - male kender (please, no groaning) fighter; Zip's twin brother
Zip Amberquip - male kender (again, shhh) beguiler (from Player's Handbook II); Dip's twin brother
Nona - female elf....cat (err...she used to be a cat...now she's elf?)

We're a warped group, I know. That's ok. The more confused the NPCs are, the more amused I am.

Dude, I'm trying to come to terms with this whole ninja thing; so many people like it, so maybe I'm jacked up. So, lay it on me. How do you background an elf ninja? I just can't make it make sense to me.

And I don't mean to sound like a butthead or anything, I'm just trying to understand it all.

office_ninja wrote:

Okay, you've piqued my curiosity. How does a human qualify for the hulking hurler prestige class, when one of the prerequisites is being Large or larger?

We've just started the SCAP, as the party will next session have a word with Ghelve. This time around the party will be interesting since the two players that mostly fights or tries to pick characters with "leader-qualities" have both chosen low charisma chars.

This is the party so far;

Male Elf, Paragon Elf lvl 1(Wizard next level and second level wizard after finishing the paragon class).

Male Half-Orc, Barbarian lvl 1, (Boar-Totem), the tank with massive con and str, he rages when he has loosed a certain hitpoint value and then gains additional damage red, saves, etc...

Male Dwarf, Rogue lvl 1, the funny character, always up to mischief, has good Int, Dex, Con, and +1 str modifier. Good allround character.

Male Human, Cleric of St.Cuthbert lvl 1, didn't show up to the first session, but was played by another player who did a great job doing that.

Grand Lodge

Just starting Zenith Trajectory. I had all the players choose a local trait from the Character Creation section of the hardcover. Here's what we have now:

Human Fighter (Nobility)
Elven Sorcerer (Wyrm Blooded)
Half-Elven Rogue (Wyrm Blooded)
Human Cleric of Kord (none chosen)
Elven Female Ranger (none chosen but interested in joining Striders of Fharlanghn)

It looks like the girl playing the ranger has to quit the game due to her work hours and the cleric is played by the guy playing the fighter. So we have only 4 players in the group including me as the DM.

Scarab Sages

My group started off with

Female Elf Favored Soul
Male Goliath Barbarian
Male Half-Fire Elf Fire Domain Wizard
Male Human Rogue

The player with the Elf Favored Soul, still a newb to the game decided fairly quickly she didnt like the Favored Soul, so she switched to a Female Elf Swashbuckler.

The Human Rogue was killed off fighting Kazmojen, and that player brought in a Halfling Favored Soul / Warlock as a replacement.

The player playing the Swashbuckler has dropped out of the game (temporarily), and the player with the Fav Soul / Warlock picked up Races of Dragon, and decided he wanted to be a Dragonborn.

The very next session the Goliath Barbarian met his fate against Skaven. His replacement character is a Rog1/Pal5/Shadowbane Inq1 with the leadership feat, and a Rog4/Cleric1 cohort.

So that brings the current party to

Male Dragonborn Favored Soul 7
Male Half-Fire Elf Fire Domain Wizard 7
Male Human Rogue 1/Paladin 5/Shadowbane Inquisitor 1
Cohort: Rog4/Clr1
Followers: Five First level followers as of yet to be determined class and race.

Kale Farstrider - Male human priest of Farlanghn who is strong, dim and likes his ale.
Felice - Female human sorceress/bard - a bar wench turned adventurer.
Wee Wullie McBroon - Male gnome barbarian/thief - the archetypal pictsie of Wee Free Men fame.
Thorgin - Male Human Ranger - none too fond of other people and frequently annoyed by nature.
Dwain ("The Purple Cobra") Smithson Male dwarf monk ("wrestler") who has made grappling into a fine art.
Alfredo - Male elf priest of Obad-Hai - has just joined the group and seems disturbingly sensible.

Liberty's Edge

Well we had a near-TPK at the end of the last session so we've got a slew of new characters coming in, this is the start of Demonskar Legacy.

Aasimar Paladin
Human Knight
Half Elf Ranger/Rogue
Tiefling Wizard
Elf Bard with Elf Favored Soul cohort (the only survivors of the previous group)

I'm slightly concerned about the lack of a primary healer at their level (since the Cohort is two levels behind) but I've warned them several times, if they don't wanna listen it's their fault =p

My group is currently mid-flood season (about to enter the Kopru Ruins:

Druss Bladebight, male dwarf fighter 6
Alwen Nightbreeze, female half-elf rogue 6
Ta'lia, female elf cleric of correllon 6
Kalesia, female human sorcerer 4, rogue 2

Just about to start "The Test of the Smoking Eye."

'The Liberators' are now:
Callis - Human Male Druid 10
Jayna - Human Female Rogue 3/Diviner 5/Arcane Trickster 2
Gaspar - Human Male Fighter 4/Cleric 4/Radiant Servant of Pelor 2
Crake - Human Male Diviner 1/Rogue 7/Thief-Acrobat 1
Gunther - Human Male Cleric 9
Gavin - Human Male Fighter 8

We are about halfway through:

Ravanath Cauldera:
Jager- Dwarven Fighter 8/barbarian 3
Caroline- Wood elf fighter 8/ranger 2
Cutter- Human Paladin of St. Cuthbert 7/rogue 3
Na'cheya- Human Favored Soul 10
Thonis- Elven Wizard 10
and his cohort/brother
Firan- Elven Scout 8

So far only the Jager and Firan have never taken a dirt nap. Deaths were due to bad luck or poor planning, I adjust overpowering encounters. I do not recommned the favored soul, as a divine spellcaster, the lack of access to spells is a major drawback that has no compensation. Powerful spellcasters (both arcane & divine) are a must at higher levels.

Just guessing, he has a permanent enlarge spell cast on him. I had a player try to pull the same thing.

I am running a 5 character party set in the World of Greyhawk (my favorite.) They just finished Drakthar's Way.

I have:

Human, CG, 5th Cleric of Vogan (soon to be a Stormlord)
Human, CG, 5th Warlock
Human, N, 2nd Rogue/3rd Sorcerer
Human, N?, 5th Fighter (Archer specialist)
1/2 Elf Drow, NG, 3rd Swashbuckler/2nd Fighter (soon to be dervish).

I have a system of disadvantages in my game, which hinders the individual party members, but they also get benefits and roleplaying xps. Example, the cleric has claustraphobia, so the dungeons are usually not somewhere he wants to be. The warlock is an 11 year old street urchin with a tail. The rogue has a greed problem.

Since my group is mostly adults with hectic schedules, I streamlined the money handed out. Now players get a portion of what each character would have at their level. Example, since each is 5th level, each will have 9000 gp in money and items. Of course, they must subtract for any magic items they buy. And if the thief or any other member takes something or makes extra money, this is a bonus.

I started everyone at 2nd level. They cleared less than 1/2 of Jazradune?, all of the Malachite fortress, and almost all of Drakthar's way.

Sovereign Court

I also have a problem with players with hectic schedules. Currently a 4-member gestalt group at level 2.

Dwarf fighter/barbarian (Touched in the Head)
Elf Monk/Rogue (Noble)
Human Fighter/Cleric (Noble)
Avoral Paladin planning on Favored Soul levels (Descendent of ?)

My adventurers just completed Life's Bazaar, quite successfully, but not without some touch-and-go spots!

The Jzadirune Company:
1. Brenvia, human rogue 2/fighter 1, an orphan raised by halflings, discovered that one of the child kidnap victims is his half-elven half-sister.
2. Kepkal, halfling rogue 3, Brenvia's "big sister" who stole Fellian Shard's belt pouch without him knowing it.
3. Moridoc, human fighter 3, who plans to take a house-modified Arcane Archer-like prestige class that we call Arrow Whisperer.
4. Keira, human cleric 3 of Heironeous, the conscience of the party.
5. Cigwyn, gnome illusionist 3, with 18 intelligence and 6 strength (we used point buy).

I don't own the hardcover, so I'm going to have to get them to do some other stuff before Flood Season in order to get to 4th level. I'm thinking they'll probably finish cleaning out the areas they didn't explore in Jzadirune (they wiped the Malachite fortress up); maybe have a run-in with the Stormblades; and/or take a shopping trip to Sasserine with one or more "random" encounters happening.

Obviously, we haven't played through much yet, but I am loving the SCAP so far, and loving these message boards!

We started the SCAP with five PCs but due to character deaths and two guys not being able to play anymore the party is down to three PCs only one of which is an origianl member. I let each player take Leadership at 8th level (9th level feat early) so that they wouldn't have to wander into the Spellweaver stronghold undermanned.

Right now the party consists of:

1A. Dwarven Rogue 4, Ranger 3, Dungeon Delver 2 (the only surviving member of the original party)
2A. Human Monk 2, Fighter 3, Shou Disciple 4 (loosely based on Captain America)
3A. Human Rogue 2, Bard 4, Druid 3 (headed towards Fochlucan Lyrist)
1B. Half-Orc Barbarian 1, Favored Soul (Kord) 6
2B. Human Barbarian 1, Fighter 2, Ranger 2, Order of the Bow Initiate 1, Occult Slayer 1
3B. Human Monk 5, Drunken Master 2

Currently just starting Demonskar Legacy

The Hounds of Helsbeth
Lord Helsbeth - Human Warblade - 8 (Noble)
Tamara Aslaxin - Human Swashbuckler - 8 (Noble, Zachary's sister)
Levithex Ux - Dragonborn (human) Paladin - 4/ Warmage - 3/ Arcane Guardian - 1 (Homebrewed PrC)
Kurlindor - Killoren Fighter 2/ Rogue 4/ Thief-Acrobat -2
Bain - High Elf Paladin - 8
and a Tibbit Warlock - 8 (I can't remember her name since her character is rather new and I'm at work)

My party has decided to ally itself with Jenya and her church. (Kurlindor is courting her) The Bluecrater Academy and Alek Tercival.

Funny story about Alek.. Jenya had him deliver a message to the party at the Demonskar Ball.. of course the door guards wouldn't let him in, being ill dressed and not invited, so he got angry and yelled "Out of the way, Peck!" Punched the doorguard in the face and strode in to deliver the message. Now the joke has gone on so long that I had to change Alek's weapons to +2 Holy Gauntlets and give him Improved Unarmed Strike.. and he's lovingly referred to as the "Punch-adin"

It's been a very interesting game so far, and the party loves it. Helsbeth intends to become the next Lord Mayor, Kurlindor intends to take over the Last Laugh thieves guild, or create his own and combat the last laugh. They captured the Senile old Kua-Toa Boatman in Zenith Trajectory and have convinced him that it is now his new duty to clean and caretake Helsbeth House.. mostly because they loved the old toad and his senile ramblings.

Several great things have happened.. such as when they broke in on Triel.. they were all sneaky-like so they burst in upon her in the bath, she was quickly disarmed by the swashbuckler, they tried to grapple her, and she bit off Kurlindor's ear. She proved to be so mean, the could not keep her effectively captured or in jail.. going so far as to rip off her own skin and scrawl a holy symbol on it to cast spells.

Currently just about to enter Vaprak's Voice:

Druss Bladebight (male dwarf fighter 9)
Alwen Nightbreeze (female half elf rogue 8)
Mina (female paladin 8)
The Flame (male human sorcerer 8)

My players beat Triel pretty easily. They used hold person then Druss decided to lick her (he's a dirty old dwarf who's very attracted to Alwen) before killing her.

They're hardest encounters so far were in Bhaal Hamatugn. Aushanna killed two of the original members and Dhorlot killed Alwen before she recieved a raise dead spell.

Druss also likes to start many tavern brawls and was only too happy to fight the Stormblades earlier in the campaign (he almost killed Todd in that encounter - despite being a former town guard member)

Just finished Flood Season:
-Elf cleric 3 of Wee Jas/necromancer 3 (going into true necromancer)
-Halfing cleric 6 of Pelor
-Gnome bard 5
-Halfling war mage 3/rogue 1 (going into daggerspell mage)
-Human ranger 5
-Elf warblade 5
-Human ranger 4
-Human druid 4

We have had 4 character deaths:
-Dwarf barbarian (died from grell)
-Half-elf monk (died from scorching ray from goblin adept)
-Human rogue/cleric (died from hillfolk in Kopru ruins)
-Human rogue/duskblade (died from hillfolk in Kopru ruins)

I think the average party level is just right for chapter 4. I still haven't run the Demonscar Ball, which will probably level up someone (roleplaying exp) and I think a few people will level up 2+ times in this next chapter.

We've now entered the Flood Season and I got the opportunity to have the encounter the Stormblades with a cool twist added to it.

They're now all level 5(4 players and I haven't modified the EL's and CR's for AP anything). So lots of experience for them.

When they met the Stormblades they had, a couple of days before, defeated Drakthar and recieved a small notice in the local newspaper "The Cooking Cauldron" for their bravery etc. The cleric died after Drakthar ripped his head off while in Dire Wolf form and the party was searching for a new party member. They all reside at the Drunken Morkoth and were visited by the Stormblades there. The Stormblades had made a meeting with a Cleric of Pelor and wanted to recruit him in front of the PC's. I knew the Cleric would cast detect evil and find Todd Vanderboren true nature unpleasant. The PC's recruited him instead and the Stormblades left the Drunken Morkoth very angry and swore they were victims of a conspiracy and hit back hard at the PC's.

I'll soon have the Last Laugh steal some items from them since they're getting powerful when it comes to items and sharing loot on 4 instead of 6.

Just interested in knowing how you will "play" these two characters, I've always found it difficult to have Clerics of two opposing churches and let alone necros and Pelorians...

-Male Human Artificer/Rouge Mastermaker, Dragonmarked(Cannith)
-Female Half Elf/Bronze Dragon Druid
-Male Elf Rouge
-Male Human Paladin, uses a halberd

The rest are on and off again players
-Male Dwarf fighter, ranged crossbow specialist
-Female Human fighter, uses a greatsword
-Male monk/ranger/kensai, use kukris

All of them our 8 level or so and just about to complete Zenith Trajectory.

Pathfinder Roleplaying Game Superscriber; Pathfinder Starfinder Adventure Path, Starfinder Roleplaying Game, Starfinder Society Subscriber

I'm starting up with my second group. These are my old-school "Beer & Pretzel" gamers, and while they know the (basic 3 book) core stuff, the rest is new to them. I decided to open up all the books I had to them, so character generation took a quick 4 hours (!). I hope nobody dies soon, it's too much to make characters with them.

We're doing it in Greyhawk. I'm letting them start our with 2nd level characters, 0 XP, 1st level starting gold:

1) Half-Elf Rogue/Conjurer with the Immediate Spellcasting option from the PHB2 (the 10' teleport jaunt) in place of a familiar. He's also got the Noble trait from the Local Heros section in the back of the hardcover
2) Human Paladin of Pelor, a late-in-life convert to the cause who's life was saved by the clerical power of one of Pelor's recently killed high-priests
3) Half-Elf Warlock with the Troubled Soul trait (I think that's what it's called - he's Shackleborn)
4) Human Knight - a political exile from the Free City of Greyhawk
5) Human Human Cleric of St Cuthburt - an NPC, older brother of the Knight

I can't wait to start next week with the actual action!

~Qualidar~

The cleric of Wee Jas and the cleric of Pelor are ok with each other. They both respect what the other brings to the party. I guess they have been acting a little cold to each other, but the cleric of Pelor's role is to heal the party, while the cleric of Wee Jas is into summoning undead. They so far have stayed out of each other's way, and I think it's pretty much going to stay that way (until I kill one or the other off, sad, but likely). They bicker occasionally over how to solve problems, but it isn't anything more than differing view points, and I doubt it'll amount to blows or anything. I'll see where it goes when he takes True Necromancer.

My group is now starting Foundation of Flame and composed of the following:

- LG Human Paladin of St. Cuthbert (Level 15)
- LN Human Cleric of St Cuthbert (Level 14)
- CG Wood Elf Ranger/Wizard/Arcane Archer (Level 10/1/4)
- LG Human Fighter/Exotic Weapon Master/Purple Dragon Knight (Level 10/2/2) - Spiked chain specialist
- CG Gray Elf Wizard (Level 14)
- LN Human Monk/Cleric/Sacred Fist (Level 2/4/7) - Smoking Eye template
- CG Human Rogue/Fighter (Level 11/2) - going for Tempest
- LN Dwarf Fighter/Kensai (Level 8/5)

The paladin now has a cohort:
- LG Dwarf Cleric of Moradin/Battlesmith/Church Inquisitor (Level 8/1/4)

Normally have six players at an average session, so it is working out pretty well.

Liberty's Edge

First time playing through SC my gaming group kind of fell apart during Zenith Trajectory. Recently started over with some new players, now partway through Flood Season (just found the entrance to the Kopru Ruins)

We have:
Elendil (human male bard 4 / sorcerer 1)
Alethian (elf male rogue 5)
The Pilgrim (human male cleric 2 [cuthbert]/fighter 2/ranger 1 - going for Fiend Slayer prestige class)
Elsbeth (human female fighter 4 - missed a couple of sessions)
Nixt (elf female sorcerer 5)

Just finished Life's Bazaar. There are 4 characters in my group but I would like a fifth one.
The party is:
Lizardfolk monk
Lizardfolk sorcerer
Dwarf barbarian
Human cleric of Kelemvor

Sovereign Court Co-owner - Battlegrounds to Board Games

My PCs'party is about halfway through "Drakthar's Way", here is what they are

CN Krynn Minotaur Fighter 1 / Cleric(Gods of War)4
NG Human Fighter(Exoticist) 2 / Barbarian 2
LG Human Aristocrat 1 / Warblade 2
CG Grey Elf Cleric(Hanali Celanil) 2 / Wizard 3
CN Human Rogue 3 / Wizard 1
CG Half-Elf Wizard 4

The Minotaur and the Grey Elf Played in adventure I was running before I started the SCAP and I did not make them start over. They began the AP at 3rd level so the party had a pretty good advantage in "Life's Bazaar" but I scaled it up just a notch so they would not just walk through it and I even had a kill. (Aristocrat/Warblade) but now the rest of the party and the adventure is catching up with the more experienced characters.

I changed the Wererats in the bath house to be Wererat Fighter 1 instead of wererat Warrior 1. 3 Party members went down it was a great fight but no casualties. The party still has an edge though so I did a reconfig on Drakthar, I changed him from an underpowered bugbear vampire to the proper strength he should be to be a vampire (albeit a weak one), this raised him from CR4 to CR5 but he is going to be quite a challenge for the party now instead of getting walked on.

MY PARTY ARE JUST INTO DEMONSCAR LEGACY AND AFTER A FEW PC DEATHS ARE AS FOLLOWS.
1=TYCHO HUMAN WIZARD 8 (POMPOUS AND ARROGANT,BELIEVES HIMSELF UNKILLABLE)HELLO SNORTER:)
2=BADVOK DWARF FIGHTER 2 ROGUE 6(KNOWN AS TRAP SPRINGER FOR OBVIOUS REASONS.
3=LIA ELF RANGER 4 CLERIC 4(VERY HARD, 18 STR 18 DEX BUT HAS YET TO REALISE THIS AS SHE IS NEW TO GAME)
4=KAILE CLERIC 6 PALADIN 2(USING DIVINE FEATS TO USE TURNS TO BOOST SPELLS,AND MAKES ME SAY "WHAT THE F######"NEARLY EVERY TIME
5=SHIBA ITCHIRO SAMURIA 8(DOES WHAT IT SAYS IN THE TIN)HI NERMAL
6=DAMARGO BRB 1 FTR 1 HEX 3 OCCULT SLAYER 3(NEW TO GAME BUT OH MY GOD,DONT BE A SPELLCASTER AROUND THIS GUY)
THEY SEEM TO BE HANDLING MOST OF THE ENCOUNTERS WELL BUT I HAVE LET THEM REST QUITE OFTEN SO LETS SEE WHEN THEY CANT DO THIS ALL THE TIME

My Party in FR

Male Half-Vampire Human Swashbuckler 1
Female Star Elf Fav. Soul 4 of Corellon Larethian
Female Elan Wilder 4
Male Wa Human Samurai 4
Male Damaran Human Jotunbrud Marshal 4
Male Thetyr Human Rogue 4 from Waterdeep
Male Shield Dwarf Cleric 4 of Haela Brightaxe

We have after two years playing the floodseason in front of us!

My Gestalt Party is now starting Flood Season:

Tom Riddle (Githzerai Monk 3 / Panther Totem Druid 2 / Scout 3, Mark of the Beast, he is a teen and his guardian is Sir Alek Tercival) ECL 4

"The Hawk" Calvin Surabar (Human Urban Ranger 4 / Ninja 4, noble, scion of surabar, on the way to Order of the Bow Initiate, big-time Batman copy) ECL 4

DaVid Navalant (Human Wizard 5 / Cleric of Boccob 5, Noble) ECL 5

Xiloscent "Goldy" Jones (Half-elf Bard 3 / Urban Ranger 4 / Half-elf Paragon 1, Noble) ECL 4

Noke Arrier (Human Monk 4/ Fighter 4, Scarred Soul) ECL 4

Lucian "Luke" Nailo (Elf Rogue 4, Cleric of Fharlanghn 4, Wyrm-blooded, Scarred Soul, Striders member) ECL 4

As you can see, my group grew considerably. In fact, there was one other player who no longer plays with us at one point.

Drakthar's Way was a blast, though they got tired of killing hoards of goblins every time they came back from resting.

You can read some of there adventure write ups here:

Dark Archive

I only got to play through a few sessions of the campaign a couple of summers ago. I'm planning on picking up the hardcover in the near future and starting over with a new group of PC's. The group I had last time was:

Male Centaur Ranger
Male Human Fighter / Sorcerer
Female Elf Druid
Female Human Fighter

We made it most of the way through Life's Bazaar, though not all the way up to the BBEG. I sort of had a kill - my friend's wife was playing the female fighter, and got absolutely nailed by the grell in Jzadirune. Since she was new, I fudged dramatically and repeatedly to keep her alive, but then she's the one who basically killed the campaign by refusing to play anymore, so I retconned it and said that she had been killed after all.

Liberty's Edge

Updated party list for Archade's campaign. Everyone is now ECL 14 and in the middle of evacuating a burning city:

Half Copper Dragon/human Rogue/Fighter/Ranger/Dervish (how I wish Scout was an available class when we started)
Aasimar Cleric/Morninglord of Lathander
Tiefling Warlock/Fighter
Elf Rogue/Fighter
Gloaming Sorcerer/Shadowcrafter

The Bard is MIA and the Red wizard has be "recalled to Thaymount."

Updated party list for me too.... Everyone's 13th level, about to ding 14th and invade House Vhalantru and Oblivion.

Male Human Archivist
Male Elf Warmage
Male Halfling Rogue/Fighter/Invisible Blade
Male Human Marshal/Bard/Sublime Chord
Male Human Duskblade
Female Dwarf Paladin/Fighter/Hammer of Moradin

The archivist, warmage, rogue and Paladin have been characters since the beginning. Pretty darn good to have survived this long.

Well, now starting Demonscar:

Elf cleric 3/necromancer 3/true necromancer 2
Halfling cleric 6
Halfling warmage 5/rogue 1/daggerspell mage 1
Gnome bard 7
Half-elf ranger 5
Drow monk 2
Human ranger 5/tempest 2
Elf swordsage 5

At least, I think that's about right. I can't keep track of all their levels and classes anymore.

We’re going with a party of seven characters but because we only have five people in our group (including the DM) I’m allowed to play two characters at once so I have a pair of individually levelling home made dvati. ;)

Human wizard (party leader)
Goliath barbarian
Raptoran fighter/favoured soul
Human dread necromancer (this ones the DM’s NPC)
Elfcrafted warforged fighter
Pair of Dvati psychic warriors (my PC’s)

Starting a new group on SCAP over Thanksgiving weekend. This group will include four new players and two veterans from my Friday night group, and will cover three generations, age-wise (running from 9 to 70). We have:

Sir Algernon Knowlern, human Knight
Fenton von Berthold, human rogue
Athira Wolfsong, elven bard
Thorik Gordrivver, dwarven cleric of St. Cuthbert
Amaril, half-elven sorcerer
Tessera, elven druid

Should be a blast!

my party other than Ecl are all level 5 now and they are approaching the end of drakthars way i also feel that they must be finding it way to easy

Orc Barbarian-Double Axe Weilder-Zalak
1/2 drow 1/2 elf fighter-two weapon specialist- Welverin Devir
Human Cleric of St.cuthbert-(church inquisitor)- Brother Francis
Assimar Begiler-(diplomat)- Flash Darkstrike
Human Sorceror - Tyrell Moshe la Blanc

The Orc in the party is a pure Killing machine and does so much damage i find it hard to give him any challenges at all,
For example the party was in Jzadurinne and decided that we dont need keys those are for lesser beings. We have a Orc and would pump the orc up with Bull strength and other powers and he would just break the door down.

does anyone have any ideas to help slow them down in drakthars way i have thought about Beefing up Drakthars stats, and also improving the goblins stats to make it more enjoyable for the party.

I have only been DMing for a year any advice would be greatly appricated

My players are just about to begin Lords of Oblivion (after a short trek to the Haunted Village).

Druss Bladebite, male dwarf ftr11 (smoking eye template)
Alwen Nightbreeze, female half elf rog12, brd1
Mina, female human Pal12 (St. Cuthbert)
The Flame, male human sor13
Thog, male half orc ftr12

I'm starting up Shackled City next Saturday, and I've got a pretty good group put together. Here's what I've got so far:

Male Human Fighter 1, Noble Trait. Nephew of Terseon Skellerang, skilled with a number of unusual weapons. Plans to branch out into Psychic Warrior and Swordsage.

Hale Human Cleric of Pelor 1, Wyrm-Blooded Trait. Already extremely suspicious of the Cathedral of Wee Jas, and we haven't even started yet.

Male Human Paladin of Torm 1, Hasn't picked a trait. Since his heart was set on Torm, I allowed the FR deity into my Greyhawk as an obscure demigod few have heard of. Wears a mask with Torm's holy symbol on it, rarely talks.

Female Gnome Artificer 1, Elected for no trait. Plans to have a homonculus handle item construction while she adventures. Close friend to Skie at Skie's treasury.

Male Human Swordsage 1, Noble Trait. Plans to dual-wield, close friend and sparring partner of the other noble above, and younger brother of Cora Lathenmire. Currently wields a shortsword.

Female Human Rogue 1, Scarred Soul Trait. Plans to multi-class into Soulknife. Illegitimate daughter of Vervil Ashmantle, hopes to one day kill the wicked Tiefling slaver.

I'm interested to see how the party will do with no arcanist. Originally the party wasn't going to have a cleric either, but warnings that this adventure path is difficult seem to have convinced one of my players to take up Pelor's banner.

Interestingly, a lot of my characters have links to the Shrine of Pelor, and based on the weakness of Kristof, I wouldn't be surprised if the party cleric became High Priest sooner rather than later. The intrigue with Embril's Cathedral of Wee Jas should keep things interesting, but I'm not sure how eager the party will be to have the Church of St. Cuthbert as a patron... We'll see, I suppose.
