On the night of the Missing Moment, thousands stepped through portals across Golarion, seemingly against their will. When they returned, these so-called gatewalkers possessed strange, paranormal powers but no memory of where they had gone. Can the heroes unravel the mystery of the Missing Moment before the source of their new-found power consumes them?
This 288-page hardcover compilation includes a complete Pathfinder campaign for characters level 1–10. This updated and remastered edition of the campaign has been adjusted to work perfectly with the latest edition of the Pathfinder Roleplaying Game, and includes updates and improvements based on player feedback. It also presents a meaty rules appendix that offers feats, monsters, and magic items designed to support this world-spanning, mindbending campaign!
Excited to see this updated but a little confused by the levels being listed as 1-8, the original path was a 1-10 was it not? Has some of it been removed?
Wouldn't be impossible tbh but does confuse regarding finale of it yeah since wouldn't finale be completely rewritten in this case at least mechanics wise?

Good catch! That's a typo; it does, in fact, go to 10th. I've updated the description text above. :)

Previously, these compilations have not been part of a Subscription. Is that an error, or (for subscribers to both lines, who already have/played the original and don't want the updated version) will we need to wait until the appropriate month and then remember to request not to receive this?
I'd greatly prefer these remastered versions of prior products be something we can opt into, rather than having to opt out of. And I'd think that would be easier for Customer Service as well, since opting in could be as simple as pre-ordering.
Given how bad the original three-volume AP was, is anyone actually excited to re-purchase this in a single volume, while hoping that Paizo actually fixed it sufficiently that it no longer sucks?

I'm on book 3 running this and I really don't get the hate. It's not the strongest AP of all time but it's also not as bad as I hear people say. My players are having fun, they are invested in dealing with the fallout of the missing moment, they all have a shared distrust of whales and bald men... Not sure what the major complaints are.
Does anyone know what will happen with Gatewalkers Foundry modules when this releases? Will there be a new module, updates to the existing ones, or no Foundry port of the remastered changes at all?

I am just now finding out that it's disliked! Personally, one of my favorite 2nd edition adventure paths.

The existing Foundry modules will stay as they are (including the discount you get for owning PDF versions of individual volumes), but we'll also be releasing a new single-module compilation, similar to the one that exists for Abomination Vaults, which incorporates all of the updates and changes being made in the hardcover. You'll get a discount on that module for owning the PDF of the hardcover version, but not for owning the individual volumes (also similar to how it works with Abomination Vaults).

For the system itself if the stats of a creature or mechanics of an item change then we change them when the book releases, as normal for any errata to an NPC or item. So changes to any of the NPCs used in the adventure will be made in the old adventure modules as well, since they pull from the system's compendiums for their NPCs and items.

GCN had a less than stellar playthrough made with random characters and a GM skimming the book. In that fan circle it's now considered the worst AP ever.

FWIW I'm in the GCN fan circle (long time subscriber) and I don't think the AP is the issue so I'm looking forward to this hardcover release. There is an issue with how GCN implemented it and particularly (for me) GM refusal to use Hero Points as PF 2E clearly intends which has affected game balance.

Super excited for this one, and I'm interested to see the changes. I'm currently playing though the start of book 3 and our GM is doing a great job of pulling the adventure together, but going back and reading books 1 and 2 once we finished them shows just how many changes he's made to the books to make them flow a bit smoother. I'm looking forward to seeing what Paizo does with it.

Agreed on your points.
I had a much harder time with a lot of other second edition AP's. But I also contend that an adventure path is less about "exactly out of the box" and more of "here's a base for you to play around with".
There's some stuff that feels a bit unfun as read, but it wasn't anything my tables hated by the time we got there.
IDK how I feel about rebuying the entire AP again. Remaster I understand, though are they adding new content or just updating things?
It's in the same category, more or less, as the hardcover reprints of Abomination Vaults and Fist of the Ruby Phoenix. Gathers the story into one book (and in this case remasters it) and shores up some of the areas that didn't land as proper as we'd hoped (for example, I rewrote the arctic expedition section to be less grindy and hopefully more interesting), but unlike the more extensive compilations like Rise of the Runelords or Curse of the Crimson Throne or Kingmaker, there are no new adventures in this hardcover.
It's meant less as a "you can buy it again if you have it in softcover" and more of a "you can buy it now if you missed it in softcover" sort of thing.

Are you able to elaborate on what other areas were shored up?

No; I wasn't the primary developer for this project. I did get to help rework that section from the adventure I wrote, and did give a lot of advice and guidance (which included, among other things, to look at all of the customer feedback on the internet we could and to take that advice to heart), though. (Which is standard for any of these types of projects we do.)

Interesting. That's what I figured it was. Thank you for the insight.
Really not impressed with this being part of the Adventure Subscription, as I already have the AP as part of the AP subscription. If you want to reissue updated APs as single books, kindly don't include them in Adventure subscriptions, it seems like Paizo is becoming less player friendly and more money grabbing.
