The fearsome foes of the Pathfinder Monster Core come alive on your tabletop with this collection of more than 450 creature pawns for use with the Pathfinder Roleplaying Game or any tabletop fantasy RPG!
Printed on sturdy cardstock, each double-sided pawn contains a beautiful full-color image of a monstrous friend or foe from the Pathfinder Monster Core. The pawns slot into size-appropriate plastic bases included in the box, making them easy to mix with traditional metal or plastic miniatures, bringing your Pathfinder campaign to stunning life!
This product is a must have for the Pathfinder game. It has all the minis you need to run most Pathfinder games. Even if it doesn't contain the exact creature you need, it contains a pawn that's similar enough.
This product has especially good value if you're on a budget. Although I have many plastic and paper minis, this is still a useful accessory.
If you already own a Bestiary pawn box, there are probably not enough changes in this one to make it worthwhile.
This pawn box has the same great quality of previous pawn boxes. The art is great, the bases and pawns are sturdy.
It contains a large amount of black bases: 20 small/medium, 10 large, and 5 huge bases.

I hope there will be smaller sets of pawns with just the new creatures introduced in the Monster Core series as I already have the pawn sets from the 3 Bestiaries.

I'd be surprised if such a product were financially viable. However, just one pawn box has never been enough, especially for low level baddies. So I'm hoping that this + my 2E bestiary pawn box will be about perfect.
But for your sake, I hope I'm wrong and they do release a set of just the stuff that is new to Monster Core. ;-)

There will not be a smaller set, no. Some existing creatures have new looks.

Excellent. I was considering trying to get a second bestiary pawn box as organised play scenarios often require more pawns than one box on its own provides, but this is even better.
Hopefully we can start getting pawns for other books (maybe as a digest edition if individual pawn collections for books like Tian Xia/Rage of Elements etc aren't economically viable).

Hmmm... How about a pawn box of multiple copies of the various low level baddies, the ones most likely to form armies? Like a couple of dozen kobolds or goblins, etc.

Even a single extra *sheet* of pawns, if carefully designed, would solve SO many problems. Focus on low-levels (where the most play occurs) and a mix of pawns that could serve as good proxies (say, zombies for corporeal undead). Something like:
I get that there will always be a "just one more sheet', but this particular sheet would be a HUGE boon to utility -- especially with the pawn line becoming much smaller in scope. A single, evergreen box could met 99% of the need.
I'm really hoping the third time is the charm for this (otherwise truly excellent) product.
I understand there are no plans to sell physical pawns for future adventure paths, I'm wondering if PDFs of those pawns be made available for purchase?

Never mind, got an answer from Erik Mona on Reddit. If anyone is interested, the answer is no, Paizo doesn't plan to release PDF pawns for future Adventure Paths. :(

Once used, what is the best way to store pawns?
Bag of Holding. Or whatever they're calling it now. :-)
Keep the cardboard sprues and slide them into document protectors with the pawns in their spaces. You can slide the panel out of the plastic to pull out the pawns you need and the rest stay nice and secure. The Monster Core box will likely need a 2 inch binder to handle all of them.

Will these be available on Amazon at some point? The shipping is more than I'd like to pay.
Depends on Amazon.
How it works is that Paizo announce what they offer. Teh distributors add them to their catalog. Gaming stores (and amazon) make some order to the distributors based on what is in the catalog, then the distributors THEN make their order to Paizo, if they have gotten enough orders from the stores that they think they will profit enough from it. So if Amazon doesn't get it, it's because either their distributor or Amazon itself doesn't want to.
Will definitely get, all of the other core bestiary pawns are sold out on Amazon, Ebay, and all local shops. Can't get them and I'm not interested in more obscure monsters. This will do nicely to fill in where I don't have good minis or even paper minis (love paper minis).
Very glad they are releasing another pawn box. I too am in favor of some sort of “very common enemies” set. I hate having two pawns of the monster and then have to have something else to represent the other 6 zombies or whatever. Even just some generic ones that would work for broad varieties of creatures.
I would back pawns for future APs on Kickstarter if Paizo is worried about printing these being a money loser.
I’m that serious about pawns. Minis are too expensive and I don’t have time to paint.

There are 415 distinct pawns in the box. Where there are duplicates, there seem to be two total. Unfortunately I don't have time to copy down all the individual names.
Apparently they are continuing the line, at least for some things. Not for the APs (or presumably other adventures) though.

Great that they've started doing the pawns again. I can go back to my regular Dad joke at the gaming shop where I discuss my Pawn collection.
Hopefully they'll do some of the hardbacks that contained lots of monsters like Book of the Dead. Perhaps an anthology of some of the books into one pawn set?

I am somewhat bemused by the idea that PCs need sixty trillion different monsters to potentially fight. After all, if you go lion hunting in Africa ten times, you don't run into something completely new each time after the first.
