I hope there is replacement for detect alignment(Lawful and Chaotic only) to be written in there
Why Lawful & Chaotic only? I believe they are doing away with traditional alignment & are going with "Edicts & Anathemas" so I do not believe either Lawful/Chaos & Good/Evil will even been on there.

For those of you who have this, what would you say is a significant updgrade from the pre-Remaster GM Screen? Does that make this newer screen a necessary purchase? Thanks!
The changes are small if you own the old one, so unless you abhors using a sharpie to make some minor change, or if you forget the most common renaming constantly (like negative energy -> void and Attack of Opportunity -> Reactive Strike), it's hardly a "must buy" for veteran GMs. If you don'T own any screen, it's as much a must have as the original one for the pre-remaster rules.
I do think that the external art toward the player is even better than the original though.Disclaimer: I did "buy" it because I have the accessory sub, and I didn't want to pause it. And to me, the "quick renaming" table is too small and kinda ONLY contains the ones I'll instantly remember... but it's small enough that I don'T think it take the place of anything really important.

Agreed. This is mostly personal preference, but having a full spread rather than segmented art pieces is a lot more attractive to me. The art on the first one was gorgeous, but the layout here elevates the art above the first imo

TBF, segmented is absolutely better when you have players that cannot see some of the panels because of how the screen is deployed, and where they are sitting. But when you can have a setup where all the players see all the panels, yep, that new one iss really the best.

I have both the old GM screen and the new one, and I think the content on this one is significantly more appropriate for GM use so that I might actually not leave it buried in my closet.
How so? Which of the new content is either better than the old screen, or the old screen doesn't even have on it?

I was confused by that statement tbh. I also have both, but they are almost the same outside of remaster changes. The only difference I can see is that they added a table to "quick translate" 8 common terms from pre-remaster to remaster, like "Attack of Opportunity" -> "Reactive Strike", "Positive" -> "Vitality", and "Spell Level" -> "Spell Rank".
Maybe they compared with the Advanced GM Screen that has mostly "creature/hazard creation" tables?![](/WebObjects/Frameworks/Ajax.framework/WebServerResources/wait30.gif)

Will there be a portrait-oriented version? I've been using the portrait version of the pre-remaster screen, but I'd like to update it.

Any word on this getting chopped into individual pages?
Paizo's reply to my email last week.
"Thanks for reaching out. There are plans to update the PDF, although it may take a couple of weeks before the new one is uploaded. Let me know if you have anymore questions!"
It looks like it is just a matter of time now. ;)
Would someone who owns the remastered screen in PDF mind chiming in to let us know whether the PDF has been separated into individual pages yet?
Thanks!

Just checked. The download I just did is still one big piece. I suppose it can be segmented using the PDF reader's Take a Snapshot tool, but that takes some work. Really wonder why it was done like this in the first place.

Yeah, that is really puzzling, and I'm sorry to learn they still haven't fixed it.
That said, thank you for taking the time to check; it is appreciated.

Probably because that's how they sent it to the printer. They needed it to be one big page as it's how it's printed. The person that converted it to the "consumer" version probably didn't realize it would be different for us... Even though if we bring it to a printer to get one printed for personal use, that format might actually be better depending on how you want to print it? Or they thought it would? I dunno, I never went to one myself, all my home-made GM screens have been made with cardboard boxes and rope.

We will get an email when they do update the PDF. And no email yet.
Unfortunately I don't own it in PDF (specifically because the current format renders it difficult to use for my intended purpose).

...which would be more understandable were this not at least the sixth GM screen Paizo has released in PDF. They really should have this down by now (or at least be quicker to correct their mistakes; it has been two months!).
