I hope there is replacement for detect alignment(Lawful and Chaotic only) to be written in there

Why Lawful & Chaotic only? I believe they are doing away with traditional alignment & are going with "Edicts & Anathemas" so I do not believe either Lawful/Chaos & Good/Evil will even been on there.

Nothing OGL will be on the new GM Screen. That would defeat the purpose. OGL stuff is on previous GM Screens.

Will there be an advanced version? I quite like my encounter building tables...

Nice.

It should have been released at the same time when they release the the remastered GM book. :(

+1 to that!

Now would it be too much to ask for a sketch cover version to match the sketch cover books? Cause I would eat that up.

Yes, but it will have it printed in two places that both conflict each other. /s

Ahh men, the only thing I miss as a VTT player is my DM-Screen. Always half-hidden behind the screen menacely watching my players...
Shame but the distance between player can't be bridged. Still a keep them for some reason.

I still use my physical screen when GMing on VTT. It sits on a reading podium next to my desk for me to look at when I need to

Hello!

Unfortunately, due to production delays, this product will not be coming out in March and instead will be releasing later this summer/tentatively in June.

Thanks!

Thanks for the heads up. Is it possible to get some kind of comparison between the original 2e screen and the new Core one? I've got the older portrait four-fold and want to know if it's worth the upgrade.

Grand Lodge

Alright, I guess I can get just one more screen.

Would love to see that as well. Any chance that is the reason for the delay? ;)

Postponed to June now?! I was counting the days when I could get it. Seems I have to count a few more (90 to be exact)....

I wish they would produce a Paizo DM screen that just had the sleves and a program that allowed you to produce inserts with access to whatever tables you wanted. I use one of those and just print the tables i want but wish it was more professional.

Gorgeous cover!

Nice I like

As someone who runs a lot of society games, having the earned income chart on the GM screen would be awesome

Would it be possible to get this PDF as single pages instead of the ultrawide landscape format?
That would be much more convenient.

I would love to be able to print the individual pages also, please.

Request for individual pages option on the PDF thirded!
Screen looks great overall though.

Ugh. Bought the PDF version but it is unprintable due to being formatted as one incredibly wide page. Also un-editable. Frustrated. What a waste.

Any word on this getting chopped into individual pages?

No word, and only posting in the forum have a very low chance of visibility to the staff, so unless someone sent an email, probabilities to get an answer is practically nil.

For those of you who have this, what would you say is a significant updgrade from the pre-Remaster GM Screen? Does that make this newer screen a necessary purchase? Thanks!

The changes are small if you own the old one, so unless you abhors using a sharpie to make some minor change, or if you forget the most common renaming constantly (like negative energy -> void and Attack of Opportunity -> Reactive Strike), it's hardly a "must buy" for veteran GMs. If you don'T own any screen, it's as much a must have as the original one for the pre-remaster rules.

I do think that the external art toward the player is even better than the original though.

Disclaimer: I did "buy" it because I have the accessory sub, and I didn't want to pause it. And to me, the "quick renaming" table is too small and kinda ONLY contains the ones I'll instantly remember... but it's small enough that I don'T think it take the place of anything really important.

Agreed. This is mostly personal preference, but having a full spread rather than segmented art pieces is a lot more attractive to me. The art on the first one was gorgeous, but the layout here elevates the art above the first imo

TBF, segmented is absolutely better when you have players that cannot see some of the panels because of how the screen is deployed, and where they are sitting. But when you can have a setup where all the players see all the panels, yep, that new one iss really the best.

Vigilant Seal

I have both the old GM screen and the new one, and I think the content on this one is significantly more appropriate for GM use so that I might actually not leave it buried in my closet.

How so? Which of the new content is either better than the old screen, or the old screen doesn't even have on it?

I was confused by that statement tbh. I also have both, but they are almost the same outside of remaster changes. The only difference I can see is that they added a table to "quick translate" 8 common terms from pre-remaster to remaster, like "Attack of Opportunity" -> "Reactive Strike", "Positive" -> "Vitality", and "Spell Level" -> "Spell Rank".

Maybe they compared with the Advanced GM Screen that has mostly "creature/hazard creation" tables?

Will there be a portrait-oriented version? I've been using the portrait version of the pre-remaster screen, but I'd like to update it.

Thanks!

Just checked. The download I just did is still one big piece. I suppose it can be segmented using the PDF reader's Take a Snapshot tool, but that takes some work. Really wonder why it was done like this in the first place.

Yeah, that is really puzzling, and I'm sorry to learn they still haven't fixed it.

That said, thank you for taking the time to check; it is appreciated.

Probably because that's how they sent it to the printer. They needed it to be one big page as it's how it's printed. The person that converted it to the "consumer" version probably didn't realize it would be different for us... Even though if we bring it to a printer to get one printed for personal use, that format might actually be better depending on how you want to print it? Or they thought it would? I dunno, I never went to one myself, all my home-made GM screens have been made with cardboard boxes and rope.

Elfteiroh wrote:

Unfortunately I don't own it in PDF (specifically because the current format renders it difficult to use for my intended purpose).

...which would be more understandable were this not at least the sixth GM screen Paizo has released in PDF. They really should have this down by now (or at least be quicker to correct their mistakes; it has been two months!).
