Well, I was hoping to get this before Christmas but making these products isn't something to be rushed. I just hope that the Inner Sea Gods are in the collection. Also Tengus, more bird people!
I've received word from Erik Mona that this pawn collection will have many of the clerics from inner sea gods. I'm not sure about the servitors and gods themselves, however.
I agree about not rushing it. I do hope, however, that they get many of the inner sea bestiary in on this collection as well. Paizo still has a ton of great artwork that could be turned into pawns via the inner sea gods, inner sea bestiary, and advanced race guide. Hopefully we'll see some of that in this collection or future collections.

I'm hoping for tengus and kitsune too ! :)
The pawns we currently know are :
- all not Core Rulebook iconics, including a mounted version of Alain, and the summoners Eilodon
- A male and a female cleric for the 20 most important Inner Sea gods (40 total)
- the goblin heroes from We Be Goblins!
- Hellknights, Pathfinders etc.
- Anything else in the preview, here :

I had missed that preview; thank you very much. As someone who has now purchased every box of pawns, I'm keenly interested in these.
P.S. Somehow an errant space got inserted into your link.
P.P.S. The link to the mounted Hellknight art seems to be broken (or at least wrong) for me: "The requested URL was not found on this server, or you do not have permission to access this area."

Another group of pawns that'd be nice would be more metallic dragons! Specifically large Gold, Bronze, Silver etc. It's cliche, but I love dragons haha
Also, glad to hear someone else has a place in their heart for the bird people.
Hmmm...I guess I hadn't noticed that the metallic dragons aren't in the Bestiary Box. I can see why, but I can also see why people would want them. Maybe a dragon pack similar in size to the AP sets?

Here's a design decision I'll never understand. In the Bestiary Box all the chromatic dragons go up to size huge. Which is adult for red, green, and blue dragons but is ancient for white and black dragons. If they had caped the white and black dragons at adult (large) that would have cleared up two huge slots for the three huge/adult metallic dragons (silver, gold, bronze). Then they would have just had to open up one more huge slot to have all dragon types covered through to adulthood. :/

This is still listed for mid-january in the product schedule.
But on amazon it has been set back to february 3rd.
The same happend to "Belkzen - Hold of the Orc Horde" and that has really been pushed back two times from december 2014 to february 2015.
So please post a set list - it´s supposed to come out in 7 days or move it to february and post some art pieces and a preview of half the set.
Thx ;-)

Thank you for the info!
I'm not happy that there are more android, gillman, charau ka etc - likely I will never use these - in the set than tengus, while the other eastern races have 0 presence.
On the other hand, it's nice to see the goblin heroes. :)
It's INNER SEA pawns - eastern races ain't Inner Sea much, apart from tengus.

Dustin Ashe |

Besides the larges?
There are some mounted figures like the wave riders and Alain on his horse. But there aren't any Large humanoids.
I also forgot to mention the drow matron in the list above. There might be a few others that I didn't notice. But there aren't any other tengu other than the 2 Jinx Eaters. Definitely an Inner Sea theme here.

Dustin Ashe |

I believe you are mistaken by the names of some of these pawns and then looking them up in the codex
There are orks and undead I found in the first few pages
Yup, you're right. I forgot the Belkzen warchief. But orc and half-orc can be confused or interchangeable in a pinch.
As for the undead, well, nothing screamed undead when glancing through them but a few of the nastier-looking humanoids might be undead.
As I said before, there might be a few others that I didn't notice, but the overwhelming majority of these pawns are humans.

You are right.
I wasn't considered the theme, but it's the second big box for NPC pawns, and I find it unlikely that we get a third one anytime soon. Also, they left the Jade Regent AP without a pawn set, so it's hard to find anything eastern themed. :(

I'm Disappointed....... Don't get me wrong, I love that they were consistent (for the most part) with artwork I had seen from the books, I love that, that's what drove me to buy the box in the first place, but they dropped the ball on the pawn I actually needed. In the book Faiths of Balance, followers of Pharasma share a certain color theme. They were true to this theme with teh Priest of Pharasma, it matches perfectly with the artwork for teh priestess of Pharasma in the book, perfectly ...
But why didn't they use the artwork for the Priestess of Pharasma from the book too? They went completely off course there and introduced new artwork. Where the other Priests and Priestesses match each other, and are consistent with the books, they for some reason decided to go completely off base with this one and not provide a matching female pawn, and decided to not be consistent with the books like every other pawn in the box.
I know this is not as important to others, as it is to me, but seriously, why choose to be consistent with the books for 95% of the artwork and then by chance, with the one I need and grew to like from the books, choose not to be consistent?

bugleyman |

This doesn't address your concern directly, but I've had great results printing pawns myself using an inkjet printer onto a white shipping label, then affixing the label to an existing pawn I did not want (some of the Beginner Box pawns, for example, should be small but aren't -- ideal candidates to be "re-skinned.")

It appears I was too rash and hasty, as the artwork I had expected to see for the pharasman priestess is actually available in the previous NPC Codex Pawn Box, as number 261:Acolyte .
So I am happy to say that I have found teh pawn I had hoped to see in this box, in a turn of serendipitous events, and in the form of a previously owned pawn.

One (very) minor disappointment for me in this set: both androids appear to be female. Was hoping for a male and a female. Otherwise, awesome product as usual.
Wait...does an android even have a gender? :P
(I suspect I know what you mean -- the androids are illustrated with characteristics typically considered female).

Yes.
Though they have secondary sexual characteristics and can engage in and enjoy intercourse, androids have no functional reproductive organs and cannot procreate.
And I know there are at least 2 male android illustrations that could have been used. One from Fires of Creation, and one from People of the Stars. But like I said, it's a minor thing. It just would have been nice since one of my players for Iron Gods is making a male android.

Ah; I didn't know that (I do not have Fires of Creation). Thanks.
If you are so inclined (and have a color printer), you might try scaling the aforementioned art (assuming you have the PDF) to the appropriate size and printing on a mailing label. You can then affix the label to an existing pawn and trim to fit. Of course you have to be willing to sacrifice another pawn -- I suggest the small sized creatures from the beginner box, as they are printed on medium pawns. Alternatively, you could use chipboard instead of a pawn; that just means you need to cut the chipboard to fit.

Just a quick question. Is this set going to be re-printed? My FLGS didn't get a single copy despite pre-ordering it. The supplier, Esdevium, ran out almost immediately. :(
Looks like there are still plenty available out there, so it is best to ask Esdevium by way of your FLGS if they plan on distributing more. If nothing else, I see the boxes available on amazon.co.uk for around £20.00 + ~£3.00 shipping.

SenahBirdR |

Paizo still has them in stock but if Esdevium doesn't know if they will ever get it back in stock through their channels it might be best to jump on the decent Amazon prices while they are still stable. I don't know if Esdevium is the direct importer from Paizo or if they use a another middleman for that part. Either Paizo doesn't right now have the stock/capability to sell a restock batch to Esdevium at the distributor price, or one of the middlemen doesn't see enough profit to bother with a second distribution. Either way it is the same result for your FLGS. No stock currently and no reliable way of knowing of a possible restock. Unlike the core books which generally stay in print and widely available, I wouldn't wait too long on secondary or tertiary products when dealing with overseas distribution. If you really want these, I suggest giving yourself a time limit to jump on an alternative source if the distributor doesn't give a concrete yes to being able to restock.

Planning to run a tabletop game of Masks of the Living God next month so this set is right on time!
Just ordered my box today!
Does anyone know which resource books these characters are pulled from? The Inner Sea NPC guide alone is not enough to cover this is it?
To answer my own question, the box features art with all of the new iconics from the Advanced Class Guide, Advanced Players Guide, Ultimate Magic and Ultimate Combat. Inner Sea NPC Codex as well as several art pieces from the Inner Sea World Guide are featured in the set.

Are there bases in the box?
I got it a couple of years ago at this point, but as I recall, yes there were bases. If I'm remembering right, it was a different mix than the Bestiary Boxes (no huges, way fewer if any large bases) reflecting the fact that the box is almost entirely standard sized humanoids.
