Buy the pdf for the AP, photoshop the images, and make your own pawns for that particular brand. That's what I did for some of the older APs. It took forever, but it was worth it. Now I have pawns for every AP, counting the ones I have now which I subscribe for. I made pawns for almost every pathfinder image at this point because it's the best fantasy artwork ever imagined.
Hello, I have a pathfinder pawns subscription and have had one for quite a while now. Today I received the wrong package. It's not the pawns. It's a Wrath of the Righteous player card deck? The shipping box is about 1/8th the size of a pawn box that was supposed to come. What should I do next? There's not even an invoice with the package. Please let me know what I should do next. Thanks for your help. JM

I agree. Paizo could put together a big box with some former APs that were never made into pawns - carrion crown, jade regent, second darkness, and legacy of fire would be a great foursome to make into one gigantic pawn box. Paizo is sitting in a really good position given they have tons of artwork that has as of yet not been turned into pawns. I'd love for them to go back through some of the former APs and supplemental books to scope out potential pawns. There's plenty of great concepts out there.
Just my two cents but... in the past Pathfinder has used creatures/art from older books and included them in the newer bestiaries. I humbly suggest incorporating the Agathion cervinal (Chronicles of the Righteous). He's a must and if anything, he should be included to ensure he becomes a future pawn. The artwork and concept are far too epic to squander in a supplemental book. Also of note, it's time for Larabay from Isles of Shackles. Intense artwork that needs to find yet another place to flourish. Both of these fellas also need a future pawn. Come on, paizo, you've already got the artwork. Just make the transfer. Sure beats creating some type of mystic fire element that inevitably gets lost in the shuffle.
Question to anyone who knows character art in the Pathfinder books. A few years ago I had a pretty good stack of pathfinders books. I sold most of them, but my nephew is creating a lapith-type character and I'm for an image from one of the books (can't remember which one). The image was that of a bald, yellowish centaur with antlers. It was not the image from the hoof and horn book, but was a different book. Any help you guys and gals can provide would be extremely helpful. I'm going to buy the pdf when I find out which one it is and make a homemade pawn for my nephew.
Hello. I am creating a lapith-type character for one of my nephews. I used to have many of the books, but sold them. I cannot remember the particular book that the character was in, but I'm fairly certain it was a lapith. I have the hoof and horn book, and I know the image is not in that book. The image featured a yellow, bald male centaur with antlers. I believe the page framework was a soft yellow but cannot remember if it was an AP or a supplemental work. If any of you can provide feedback on what Pathfinder book you think the image was in, I'd be grateful. I think it was one of the older books.

Bryce Swanson wrote: Well, I was hoping to get this before Christmas but making these products isn't something to be rushed. I just hope that the Inner Sea Gods are in the collection. Also Tengus, more bird people! I've received word from Erik Mona that this pawn collection will have many of the clerics from inner sea gods. I'm not sure about the servitors and gods themselves, however. I agree about not rushing it. I do hope, however, that they get many of the inner sea bestiary in on this collection as well. Paizo still has a ton of great artwork that could be turned into pawns via the inner sea gods, inner sea bestiary, and advanced race guide. Hopefully we'll see some of that in this collection or future collections.
Laurial wrote: Was Inner Sea Pawns delayed again? Or will it be part of our December subscriptions? The second delay on the pawns. Delays have happened on three of the last four pawn releases for some reason. Don't get me wrong, I'm happy with the product; I was just looking for to getting 3 or 4 boxes for Christmas gifts.
Mark Moreland wrote: If there are any duplicate characters/pawns from other sets, it's an error on our part. The goal was to include new pawns that had never been previously released. Any chance of getting a list of characters sometime soon? Thanks for any feedback you can provide, and thanks for the update a few weeks back on the blog.
Arikiel wrote: So... robots and aliens and such? I dunno. I think this might be the first pawn set that I skip. It doesn't sound like it has much that would be generally useful outside of the AP. I am leaning in the same direction. It would be pretty neat if they had an AP that featured catfolk. Would love some variety in that direction.
Laurial wrote: Delayed? :( Not by much, though. Subscribers will probably get this in early December. Erik Mona wrote me and said that they will be including some of the art from inner sea gods, with a focus on the cleric artwork from that book. He then went on to say there is some original artwork for this pawn collection. I'm hoping inner sea bestiary is also included. Been looking forward to a Syrinx pawn for some time.

Thanks Vic. Can you confirm whether the Inner Sea Pawns will feature Inner Sea Gods as part of the collection? Thanks for any information you can offer.
Mark Moreland wrote: We'll likely do some previews and/or content reveals closer to the product's release, which is currently slated for early November. My advice is to check the blog in a week or two. Any word on how many pawns might be in this collection estimation-wise? Not looking for an exact total, just wondering if it will be a big box or AP-sized box. Thanks in advance for any information you might have.
A few days ago, my forthcoming credit transactions showed I was about to pay a Paizo order for my pawn subscription. Which is normal, as I have the subscription and understand how the game works. Today, the forthcoming transaction charge is completely gone. The order has been pending since the 7th. The auto charge doesn't look like it's going through now. I'm confused. Am I still good to go?
Samy wrote: Why would you need that many? Because it's my favorite pawn box. The scale is pretty congruous. The art is fantastic, and the character assortment is superb. I think Paizo is putting out a Monster Codex Pawn collection next year sometime in the spring or early summer. It's mainly because people want to run campaigns against bigger armies of different creatures - the primary reason I'm going with so many Reign of Winter pawn boxes.
Arikiel wrote: What I'd really like to see is a pawn set for the Monster Codex once it comes out. That would see so much more use. *crosses fingers* Probably dependent on how well bestiary 4 and Inner Sea pawn sales go. I'm fairly certain pawns are still selling well for Paizo (any sales associate care to confirm this assumption?) but even if they're not, I hope Paizo extends the pawn output until at least the Monster Codex pawns come out. Again, I think Monster Codex is primed for some solid sales.
Andrew Phillips wrote:
I'd be surprised if the set doesn't include the following - * inner sea bestiary (47 pieces of art)
Totals: 225 pieces of original art for all the Inner Sea books. Bestiary 1 had 256 original pieces of art, but those pieces of art were divided between small, medium, large, and huge pawns. Once duplicates were included, the pawn numbers rose to over 300, but the original art featured 256 different pictures. This is largely the same for all the bestiary pawn boxes. For reference, Bestiary 2 featured 246 distinct pieces of art; bestiary 3 featured 212; Bestiary 4 featured 217 pieces of art. 230 seems to be about the average. The NPC Codex, however, featured 346 original pieces of art. The NPC Codex was largely made up of either small or medium pawns. This allowed Paizo to use the same amount of pawn sheets as the bestiary boxes. * The last fact is a big key to what will likely be in store for the Inner Sea Pawn collection. This is largely due to the fact that most of the inner sea pawns characters are either medium or small. This is also due to the fact that there are only 225 original pieces of art, as I already stated before. What this means is that most of the art from those three boxes should be featured in the pawn collection.

This is probably accurate, and Paizo will flood the pawn box with duplicates, which is fine. I too think the art will feature 150 or so unique images, with the rest being duplicates if Paizo goes with the pawn box. .
Arikiel wrote:
I'd say it's almost a definite at this point. A Monster Codex pawn collection would probably sell better than the bestiary boxes simply because most gamers have a universal need for pawns/miniatures of the traditional sense. For example, most gamers could use 20 additional orcs or trolls but do most games need 20 additional obscure characters that many people have never heard of? You get my point. I feel some of us will be more willing to buy additional boxes of this pawn collection as well, building up larger armies to combat during a campaign, and giving more flexibility to gaming options. A pawn collection for the Monster Codex is going to do well for Paizo. I hope it comes out next spring.

I noticed new artwork for the necrocraft, the broken soul lillend, lava drake, river giant, and Manitou. I'm fairly certain those were new pieces, but I based it on memory (I've gone through bestiary 4 about 10 times). There might have been a few more that I overlooked but it's mostly the same artwork, which I'm personally very happy with.
Looks like it's trying to cancel my new subscription to pathfinder pawns. I actually had cancelled one in the past but am going for the subscription now. Not sure if that has anything to do with it. Is there any way you guys can help. I want to subscription with Pawn Box 4 to be my first order on the subscription. As of now, it doesn't look like there's been any charge but I hope it starts charging and starts shipping to me soon. Thanks for you help in advance. Sincerely, J
I was thinking today that Paizo might include inner sea gods with this. Reason being: - we usually get well over 300 pawns per large box.
That would be epic, and I don't think it's out of the question since this box features "Inner Sea" pawns.
Paladinosaur wrote: Perhaps Inner Sea Codex + Inner Sea Bestiary? That would be my guess. Both books didn't have enough characters to make up one pawn collection, but both of them combined will work. I'm very happy for this one to be coming out. I'm guessing the Monster's NPC will be next in the spring of 2015. These pawns are awesome and I'm pretty happy with Paizo's decision to put out pawns for the inner sea. |
