With your ongoing Pathfinder Adventure Path subscription, we'll send you each new Pathfinder Adventure Path volume and charge your payment method automatically as we ship each product. You only need to sign up once, and never need to worry about renewal notices or missed products. You can cancel your subscription at any time.

Aside from being up to date on the latest adventures, you'll also receive:

  • A free PDF version of each release shipped as part of your Pathfinder Adventure Path subscription
  • Your free PDF unlocks discounts through Paizo Connect at participating Paizo licensed partners, such as Demiplane, Hero Lab, Fantasy Grounds, and Roll20.
  • The Pathfinder Adventure Path is one of the subscriptions which can help you qualify for the Paizo Advantage, a 15% discount on tens of thousands of gaming items from Paizo.com! More details about Paizo Advantage can be found here.

By starting a Pathfinder Adventure Path subscription, each release will be automatically bundled with any other Paizo subscription items you're subscribed to that are releasing in the same month. When you start a new subscription, any existing preorders for products covered by that subscription are automatically canceled (or have their quantity reduced by one if you've preordered more than one of an item). Been using the subscription for years now

5/5

the easiest and frankly economical way to get my Pathfinder fix. The discount from the adventure path, the subscribers advantage and the 10 discount on shipping over 100$ makes this a no brainer. I see myself being a subscriber for many years to come.

Value, value, value

5/5

I started subscribing with the release of Kingmaker and have not been disappointed. With 25 years of gaming experience to draw from, I've found the AP subscription to be among the very best RPG products out there. Each issue is packed with an incredible amount of useful goodness, all for less than 20 bucks (including shipping). Content generally includes a 50ish page adventure wth a bunch of additional material (e.g. description of a region, mini-bestiary, new rules, short stories, etc). Highly recommended!

The subsciption that changed the face of gaming

5/5

At least it did for me. Ages back I took a chance with this product when the first issue of "Rise of the Runelords" began. Since then I have looked forward to checking my mail. Each book contains a portion of a massive plot arc that advances players 3 levels (so book one takes you from level 1 to the start of level 4, book two from level 4 to level 7 and so on). After the adventure path portion you will find an in depth look at some portion of the Pathfinder RPG that pertains to the adventure path, be it a detail on a particular god or location. Up next is a delightful story written by a member of the Pathfinder Society, then a mini bestiary.

If that was everything, then it alone would be worth the subscription cost. But like an infomercial at 3am, they do not stop there. You get it all at a discounted 30% off, and they throw in a free pdf AND 15% off other purchases. Seriously, click and subscribe right now.

You get free PDFs for the issues you receive as they are shipped to you.

You don't get free PDFs for books that shipped before you started your subscription.

I've just recently discovered Pathfinder and, so far, I'm very impressed. I'm interested in trying a subscription but I'm hung up on something...

What's the difference between the Adventure Paths and the Modules? Are both not written adventures for a GM to run for his group? Where do they differ?

The Adventure Path volumes are 96-page books, written in six-issue story arcs, usually representing a complete campaign. They also contain additional articles and monsters that may or may not support the story in the adventures themselves, as well as a serial fiction feature caled the Pathfinder's Journal. Adventure Path issues are released about once a month, for a total of two complete six-issue paths in a year.

The Modules are 32-page stand-alone adventures. While we've done a few that work well as serial adventures, mostly they're designed to work alone. They also don't contain the extra articles. They come out roughly every other month.

Is there any info on what the AP after Serpent Skull will be?

I am wanting to subscribe to the Adventure Path Subscription, but I am wondering if my first issue will be the beginning of Kingmaker or the issue that is being shown as the picture on the site? I want to start with Kingmaker and I'm just wondering if I need to wait or if it will be the first issue sent to me.

Thanks

When you start a subscription, you are given the choice between starting with the next issue or the current issue, so any time before we begin shipping pathfinder #32, you should be able to choose to start with pathfinder #31, which is the first issue of Kingmaker.

Sign up now and at the final(?) checkout screen you get to choose which book to begin with. You want #31 which is the first in the Kingmaker AP.

Hi,

I'm new on Pathfinder AP, I have a question about subscription.
It is possible to make an AP subscription and ask Paizo to ship the books when the AP is complete?
(obviously the payment for books still follows the current rules, charge for the books as they are available in print)

I'm from Italy and receiving a package for every single book can be a little expensive, so I was wonder If a single packed shipping could be made.

Any info on this?

Thank you

Giulio

Our contracts with the merchant services we use specify that we cannot charge you for something unless it is shipping. Therefore, we are not able to delay shipment of subscription orders.

I don't believe they do this. Mostly for legal reasons. Unless I am mistaken they can't actually charge you until they send the products. So in theory you could do this, get all the PDF's free then cancel. But don't take my word for it. I am sure one of the Paizo staff will answer soon.

I wish I could subscribe to *just* the PDFs. Living in Europe means I'd have to pay way too much shipping costs otherwise.

And no, I don't mean, I just want the free PDFs, more somthing like a discount on the PDFs and getting them added to my subscriptions automatically (and at the same time the other subscribers get theirs).

I started the Adventure Path subscription on Friday and it says that #31 will be the first issue I receive. I've already been charged for the first issue. How long does it usually take to get notification that an issue has shipped or will be shipping?

First they send you a email that it will be shipping soon and check your account to be sure the money is there. They don't actually charge you but if your bank is like ours then it will show as a pending charge. Then typically 2-5 days later you will get a email saying the product has shipped, at that time they actually charge your account. But if your bank is like ours the pending charge likely has remained their the whole time and then moves to being a payment. So often it looks like it was charged before. Anyways after that email means the books are on the way. From that point on it varies a lot on how long it takes on where you live. For us it normally take 3-4 days typically for the order to show up.

I am a new Pathfinder Adventure Path subscriber from Germany and I really love the work you do at Paizo. I own a lot of your previous Adventure Path and standalone modules, and I´m really fond of them.

ButI must admit: I´m a little bit disappointed. I ordered Part 1 of Kingmaker, "Stolen Land", four days ago, and it´s not even shipped. That means, I have no access to my pdf file. I find this surprising for a brand new product and the newest installment of the Pathfinder Series.

Hey Stephan:

You got in right after we did the big print run for our subscription run this month. Which means there were thousands upon thousands of shipments that needed to go out the door before we picked again. If you had order before last Friday, your subscription would have been in that thousands upon thousands shipment. Instead, it needed to wait for the guys to do another picking of orders, which I believe happened yesterday afternoon. With any luck, your order should ship today and you will have your PDFs for the weekend. Normally, if you had subscribed outside of the subscription run, we pick order daily and get them all shipped out on that day. Your timing was just the worst and thus gave you the slow service. Many thousands of orders on one day can do that. :)

Thank you for your kind reply, Lisa. Glad to hear, that you got a lot of work to do. That means the company is alive and kicking, and that is just what I want to hear. :)

By the way: As you said, I got my pdf for the weekend. And I´m totally happy with it. Tim Hitchcock did a terrific job again.

I guess I'm asking a similer question to the person before me, but I can't wait, so I can't help it. I signed up for the adventure path on Thursday (and made sure to select #31 as my first issue). Is there a chance I could get my e-mail telling me to pick up my PDF, and that my issue has been sent, today?

I wouldn't count on it. I subscribed a week ago and I haven't got my email/PDF yet. I was really hoping to have it by this weekend but with the volume they must be dealing with, it looks like things are backed up a bit.

They do close for the weekend, so it'll be Monday at the earliest unfortunately.

They do have thousands of these things to get through, but in general they are usually very quick about getting things out the door once they receive them from the printer each month.

To the folks who have recently subscribed and haven't received their shipment notifications yet, there are few things that could be going on.

First, and most likely, is that due to the backlog of other orders we had to ship this week, we just haven't gotten around to you yet and your order will be shipped soon (though not over the weekend, since no one is in the office.)

Second, it is possible that when you subscribed, you chose to put your first issue into your sidecart in order to save on shipping. Your sidecart is essentially a holding place for items that will ship the next time we send you a subscription order. To see if this is true, just click on your 'My account' link at the top of the page and see if it has a box for your sidecart. If it does, and you don't want to wait till next month, you can click the 'ship now' button to get it processed as soon as possible.

Additionally, I'd like to remind everyone that Customer Service does not always look in Product threads for problems that they may need to be aware of. If you need to contact customer service, please email them at customer.service@paizo.com or post in the Customer Service messageboard, as posting here is not the most effective way to get their attention.

that's exactly what happened to me. but after reading this post i went back and checked at caught it within an hour of ordering. I'd don't recall an option to add it to side cart though. Is it possible it automatically does this when your choose to start with the most recent copy.

i have a question about Pathfinder advantage. it says-
"To qualify for the Pathfinder Advantage, the most recent volume of the Pathfinder Adventure Path must have been shipped to you"

does this mean since i choose to start with King maker stolen lands, and changed it to ship right away, that when it ships out and i get the e-mail i will qualify for Pathfinder advantage? or will i have to wait for then next issue to ship in April/may?

The Pathfinder Advantage discount should be available to you as soon as you get the shipping confirmation e-mail on your starting volume.

Hi,

didn't find another place so I ask here.

My Subscription copy shipped on 03/18, a second order shipped on 03/22 - and just now, the second order arrived.

Do I have to worry about my print edition of "Stolen Land" - or is it a possibility for shipments to europe that one is fast then the other?

Thanks

Generally, the customer service forum would be a better place for questions like this.

However, I can tell you that it's not at all uncommon for shipments to arrive out of order.

OOO, nice new explanation of what volumes one can start with at any given time. Great change.

Anyone playing through these and staying on the path?

My game seems to be going a little long. Not a complaint at all, just wondering how many GMs out there try to strictly hold to the paths so that as the next book is published, you can start right up on it.

Right now we are just one session away from completing part 1 of Council of Thieves, but we have only been playing on it for 5 weeks. So six weeks for us.

Really looking forward to Kingmaker. I have a player that will step up and run that path, so I get to play. WOOT!

What is the policy about shipping to Europe?

The problem is WAT, which will often be applied if the package is picked up by Tax control, with an additional fee for handling which is about 30$.

Silver Crusade

I live in Poland, and never ever had a package from Paizo held up by customs. But this might be because Poland has 0% VAT for books.

Depends on your country, I have never paid VAT to Finland.

We ship worldwide; the recipient is responsible for VAT or other such duties or taxes that may be imposed.

Sovereign Court

I'm not sure about elsewhere, but I believe that here in the UK, books (such as the APs) are VAT exempted. When other items (such as clothing or miniatures) are added, the shipment is then susceptible to VAT charges (and usually an extortionate 'administration fee').

Liberty's Edge

I'm interested in subscribing to the AP, but I'm confused about how I get the whole AP if I subscribe after issues in the AP have already shipped. For example, if I subscribe now my sub would start with Kingmaker part 2. How would I be able to get Kingmaker part 1? Do I have to purchase that separately? Is there a discount on it for subscribers?

On a semi-related question: Can old APs be purchased as bundles? i.e. get the complete set for a discounted price? Or does each issue have to be purchased separately for full price?

Thanks!

Back volumes have to be purchased seperately, and you don't get the free PDF.

There is not a discount on back volumes specifically, but subscribing to the Adventure Path qualifies you for the Pathfinder Advantage discount, which grants 15% off everything in the store except non-Paizo PDFs. The Pathfinder Advantage does apply to back volumes.

We do not have bundles for previous APs.

Any chance of you guys offering a media mail shipping option to the AP Subscription? I like having the hard copies of the books, which is why I subscribe, but over 1/4 of the cost for each month's AP is shipping (costs $5.27 to get it shipped to OK). Not sure if it would even be that much of a savings, but I wouldn't mind waiting a little while, especially since I'll still have my PDF :D

If you subscribe to more than just the AP you can set them to all ship once a month. Also if you buy other stuff at paizo you can have those orders set to ship with your next AP shipment. That can save a lot on shipping doing that.

While the thought of more RPG stuff is enticing, I'm more interested in saving money than getting more stuff ATM (which begs the question...why am i subscribing in the first place lol). Just seems like w/ MM shipping I'd be able to save $2-3 which, while not alot individually would end up being around $20/adventure savings.

Yeah if all you buy is the AP really all you are saving is a couple of bucks. Getting it a week or two early before the stores and the PDF for free. It is not a big money saver but if money is tight every dollar counts.

If you just want the APs, subscribe to them. My latest "we are about to ship note" shows the following:

Subtotal (1 Item): $13.99
Shipping & Handling: $5.27
--------------------------
Order Total: $19.26

The normal cover price is 19.99 + shipping ($5.27), so with the subscription:
a) Shipping is "free"
b) I save 73 cents
c) Free PDF copy

ps. Or am I missing what you are saying? You don't have an AP subscriber tag with your name.

I subscribe, so I'm not sure why I don't have a tag...maybe i'm not special :(. I realize that I'm saving money over the retail price, but what I'm getting at is that if media mail shipment was an option, you would be able to knock a few more dollars off of the total cost (and paizo wouldn't take a hit from it). I'll already have the PDF, so I can wait an extra week to get my hard copy if it saves me some money by shipping it a slower method.
