![]() That was fun!
One bad dice roll, (barring timely intervention of an aid another or similar) and it would have been golem throw down time! I mean, those are fun too! ;) (Well, not so much for casters. Golems are notoriously spell-resistant!) ;P Can always count on you to provide an interesting and fun challenge!

![]() Hi All, Just a note, I'm working a LONG Sat tomorrow, and I leave for almost the whole week Sunday morning. My wife and I just had our 29th wedding anniversary, and next week is actually a slow/dead week for me, so we're headed BACK to Florida.
I'll have my laptop, but I DON'T plan on being in the hotel room long enough to fire it up unless work calls me for an emergency.
Sorry for last minute notice, PLease bot as needed, and I'll catch up when I get back next weekend! Thank you!

Hyper annoying Spirit-Mehir 11 Alchemist/Sage-1 Wiz
![]() Hello Flesh-bags! FEAR my Stat-pages! (If you dare!) ;P All 5 pages of (incomplete) current specs are on there. Need to add his Wiz lvl, and finalize a few things.
(I havent even picked his feats!) :(

![]() Sterling nods thoughtfully at the others suggestions. So, Leaning towards "Who Killed you?" as the first question it sounds like? (OR, "WHY were you killed?") And IF we think he was still alive when the fire started, "WHY was the fire started" rather than "WHO started fire?" We have to remember, these answers can be as long as they need to be be. (Or, at least as long as the GM allows.) ;) So we do not need to worry about getting info from one word. See newest 'D&D movie' for a hysterical example of speak with dead in use! ;P (I liked that movie. It felt like me and my old friends were playing the game. Including the shenanigans. (Heck, ESPECIALLY the shenanigans!) ;D ![]()

LOL! Yes you are! Thats why we like you! :)No worries, my wife went back a few years ago to add another couple of certifications to her Already-existing Teachers Cert. After realizing it was only a 'few' more classes, she now has her Masters Degree in Education, AND lots of cool certifications, at the tender age of 56! ;) ![]()
![]() Just a note,
I am making the most of my available Spring break at work (university) and my better-ness after the past 3 years to get out and hopefully have some fun! SO, I will probably NOT be available for this next week. Leaving Sat early, returning Fri night late. I will be in a hotel with free wifi, I just dont intend to spend much time in said hotel other than sleeping.;P PLease bot as needed, and I hope everyone has a Happy Easter! ![]()

Male Human Pharasman Cleric (Ecclesitheurge) 1/ Unchained Monk 1
![]() Oh, I must have mis-understood the init order/posts. I was waiting for my turn to actually Do anything!(I have a bad habit of pre-posting in action) ;P Sorry! Presuming i can full move (30') and channel energy in same turn? Sterling finishes adjusting his hood, and realizes he now alone in the chamber. He shakes his head. "Undead-filled haunted-prison, and they run off without the Cleric. Typical." His voice is sarcastic, but his steps are fleet as he moves to join the others. Seeing the situation, and surprised at the lack of damaged skeletons in the chamber, (especially being familiar with Cole's specialty) Sterling moves past Teo and close to Ogre, using the burly barbarian and the chambers' central pile of rubble as protection from immediate skeleton reprisal. "I've got this." He says without apparent pride or ego. It is simply a statement of fact. Channel Energy, 30'radius (all skellys should be inside range?) 1d6 dmg, DC:18
I moved token on the map, I should be just north of Ogre (it was a straight-line full move) ![]()
![]() My Dude,
Believe me, I've been watching, and it seems like RL has been Combo-Sucker-Punching us all recently. (SOme more than others it seems!) O_O Sorry to hear about the problems.
Hey, I LOVE playing in your sandboxes, if you can put up with me dropping in and out every other day/week due to my 'issues', I'll happily stay! Heck, I think we were all just waiting for you to get through whatever life was tossing at you and come back! :) (It's always worth the wait!) ;) Welcome back Sir Dungeon Monkey! ![]()
![]() Having Kendra ID everything is smart, (We need to know what we're working with!) ;P After catching himself falling asleep, despite the very interesting collection of information in his lap, Sterling rises and shuffles towards his pack and sleeping roll, to find comfortable, dry, indoor, corner to curl up in,... need to go over my spell choices,... Hmmm,... ![]()
![]() Hey all, Seems we have gotten a little slow recently
SO,... I just thought I'd leave this little thought here for you to (hopefully) enjoy. :) The NEXT time that Justin is in a position where the only reasonable solution is to cast his favorite spell,... I will be hearing THIS when he casts it. Or: THIS! Or both. (Im good either way really!) ;P And remember, There are no "I's" in "TEAM". BUT, there are SIX "I's" in "I didn't ask how big the room was. I said I cast Fireball!"
See you all soon! (I hope!) ![]()

![]() Sterling('s player) facepalms as he notices he is referring to people who are not in the same room as him. Maybe he has been spending too much time in the presence of death? ,... NAH! Laughing Demon
Spoiler: Sterling merely shrugs at Kendra's question and takes a sip of his drink. "Well. Who knows what we may find in the old Prison. But your father seemed to think there were answers to be found there. Now if only he was kind enough to leave us a list of the Questions."

Human Wiz 12 (Evocation)
![]() Welcome back Blayze! :) Justin nods and tosses the Azata a thumbs up. "Support! We'll beat it the old-fashioned way if we have to! Hard, fast and continuously!" Justin shouts back. "But I got ONE trick I wanna try first. Little shazbot likes to play with wind? Let's play with wind!" The wizard mutters. Of course, with the roars of the two wind-spells running, no one can hear him. Except MAYBE Memnon, who is remaining surprisingly silent and snug in the wizard's coat. Justin thinks he feels a bite through his shirt, probably where Memnon is getting a solid grip to make sure he doesn't get flung out,... Justin holds up his Blasting rod, and begins spinning it over his head as he chants a spell. Then he points his Rod at the Polyp to target it, and completes his spell with a shout, "Stormus, Sandus, Pummelcus, Downdraftus, SIROCCO!!" Yeah, it's kinda a Hail Mary. Little Dice Powers don't fail me now! Sirocco:
Spoiler:
School evocation [air, fire]; Level druid 6, magus 6, sorcerer/wizard 6; Subdomain storms 6; Elemental School air 6, fire 6; Mystery solar 6, wind 6 CASTING Casting Time 1 standard action
EFFECT Range medium (100 ft. + 10 ft./level)
DESCRIPTION A blast of furnace-hot wind blasts downward, inflicting 4d6 fire damage +1 point per caster level to all creatures in the area and knocking them prone. A successful Fortitude save halves the fire damage and negates being knocked prone. Flying creatures forced into the ground by the powerful downdraft take damage as if they fell unless they make a DC 15 Fly check, in which case they remain at their original altitude. Any creature that takes damage from a sirocco becomes fatigued (or exhausted, if already fatigued, such as from a previous round of exposure to a sirocco spell). Creatures with the water subtype take a -4 penalty on all saving throws against this spell and take double normal damage.
Fire dmg: 4d6 + 17 ⇒ (2, 6, 3, 3) + 17 = 31
Sigh, well I tried to force it into the ground. Sorry guys! :P ![]()
![]() Thx much!
THIS time it went like it was supposed to. (YAY?!?!) Still hurts, but MUCH less than the last (failed) attempt, and I had NO anesthesia-brain-fog. I actually need to be careful, I feel good so I must be careful and not to do more than I actually can! Still cant sit in my desk chair for a while, so short(er) posts for a while. You're welcome! ;P ![]()

Very true! there is also a technique where when grab your blade for att or def, you then turn the large sword around, grab the blade in both hands, and use it like a hammer! :PNever understood the reasoning behind it, but it looks cool when you replicate it in staged combat scenarios. :) Also, I have learned that the movie swordfighting (the OLD movies, at any rate, the 'Hollywood heyday') Which SAFD now refers to as "Single Sword', was completely made up and reflects NO historical forms whatsoever.
Probably one of the reasons that is one of my favorite weapon to use in stage combat. ;) It has been a trend in recent decades to hire actual Rl swordfighters, or SAFD (Society of American Fight Directors) trained actor-combatants who have studied various styles, to make the movies more authentic looking. THEN I can tell you some stories about how the directors RUIN their own efforts by insisting that fight scenes take place in a tight, (VERY CLOSE) frame shot (with Broadswords!), or wanted the swords to move faster, so they cut the blades off all the swords for the big fight scene, and added them back in via CGI. :P

Use your magic to decide which way to go next!" Memnon all but chortles gleefully. Justin looks at the Mimir. Then, the wizard's eyes locked on the floating purple crystal skull, he points to the left and says, "Eenie," Points ahead and says, "Meenie," POints to the right and says, "Mienie," And finally, points down into the new lower section creatively 'discovered' by Alessia, and says, "Moe!" "Wise-Arse!" The mimir huffs. "Father always said. If your going to be an arse, be a WISE one, not a DUMB one!" Justin verbally ripostes. ![]()

![]() To me it just proves that they should be hiring actual gamers to write the fun movies. ;) Case in point? I don't know if you like their podcasts or not, (I myself cannot STAND to watch OTHER people play D&D or video games for hours. I don't get the appeal) BUT, the anime adaptation of Critical Role's first D&D game/season "Vox Machina" has been VERY enjoyable in my opinion. I am looking forward to Season 3 of the show. Proof that they should let gamers write adventure movies. ;P
