Cleric is back, Doc, so make whatever you like. We have:
- Mira - human fighter
- Mangrove - leshy warrior muse bard
- Anthony Slater - human warpriest cleric
- Snag - goblin sorcerer
- Kusano - human magus (currently NPC'd)
I would personally be fine with GM Lab jumping on, but I think that should be the limit. That would put us at 7 total.

If you're sure that's not too many, I'd be thrilled to play. If Doc is still going the divine route, I'll likely go with Rogue (seems most needed), Ranger, or Wizard. Any preference?
Aeshuura |
I do agree a dedicated Rogue would help. A wizard would be nice too, but we already have a Sorcerer, so the Wizard would be most useful for skills. Rogue can fill that role as well. Ranger is always good too.
Aaa, just make something that you want to play. We will figure it all out! ^_^
Is that okay, everyone?
If we do add the two of you, we may want to divvy up the GMing a bit. I am still happy to do the entirety of Burnt Offerings, but I am not sure how the Seven Dooms breaks up.
GM Labyrinth |
* sigh *
Love the idea of this adventure but man I can't get the idea out of my head of thinking that having 7 characters might mess up the fun for somebody. I'd hate to be the guy to make things awkward and cause anyone to lose interest in the game.
And so, sadly, I'm gonna withdraw from this for now. If you eventually need a new recruit or two down the line, maybe I'll toss my name back in for consideration.
Have fun, and happy gaming.
GM Labyrinth |
GM Lab, if you want to lurk for a bit and be an alternate in case someone drops, I would welcome you.
And to answer your previous question, I believe we decided on Free Archetype & Ancestral Paragon.
Then I shall do so. I just don't want to be the reason to ruin the fun of the game for someone else, by being an extra wheel, you know?
Considering our other conversation, I'll definitely roll up a Champion. :)
Lucien Lightfoot |
Here is Lucien Lightfoot, halfling rogue. He is a poor, mostly homeless burglar and thief who has recently signed up with the Sczarni elements in Sandpoint against his better judgement.
He is perhaps true neutral in outlook, acting on things that are in his best interest. He is small, acrobatic, and quick fingered but can be tough in a fight when necessary with his rapier or dagger.
Stat block is included here and in the profile, so LMK if you have any questions.

Did you take a look at Scarnetti-Connected Background from the Seven Dooms Players Guide?
There’s no denying that the Scarnettis, once one of Sandpoint’s most established and successful families, have fallen on hard times. When locals were hired to help rebuild the Scarnetti manor after the giant raid on Sandpoint 17 some years ago, rumors about the family’s shady deals with local criminals associated with the Bunyip Club began to spread. While no hard evidence ever came to light, those associated with the Bunyip Club cut ties and Titus Scarnetti had to spend years trying to rebuild the family reputation while also replenishing the family treasury after rebuilding their ostentatious cliffside mansion. With the Varisian Compact coming up for renewal, old wounds have resurfaced as well; people haven’t forgotten the actions of Alamon Scarnetti, who nearly destroyed Sandpoint before it was born when he led a drunken raid against local Varisians after diplomatic discussions became strained.
Your relationship with the Scarnettis has ensured you’re part of all of this, like it or not. You don’t bear the family name, but you might be a distant relation from Riddleport or Magnimar hoping for a new chance at life. You could be a petty criminal whose fines were paid by the Scarnettis in return for a promise of service for several months or years. You might even admire the family’s tenacity and see in the Scarnettis a chance for your own fortune. The majority of your work for them has either been at one of the family’s mills (the Sandpoint Lumber Mill or the Scarnetti Mill), or as one of their agents and “watchdogs” at another business in town, where you were expected to keep an eye out for rumors and opportunities that the family could benefit from. Your knack at making lies seem like compliments helped you excel in this role, and while the Scarnettis do seem to appreciate your apparent loyalty (or at least the services you’ve provided in the past), they haven’t yet fully embraced you into their circle. Whether that’s something you want or seek to escape from, you can’t ignore the fact that your reputation as a Scarnetti ally has tarnished your standing with the Sandpoint Cathedral, simply as a side effect of the growing animosity between the two factions.
Your home might be with your family, or you could have been staying in a room rented to you at a discount (or perhaps even free of charge) from the Scarnettis, but those accommodations have recently come to an end. Joining this new adventuring group gives you an opportunity to make some of your own money, perhaps get out from under the Scarnettis’ shadow, or might even be the leverage you hope to build to finally earn old Titus’s approval.
Choose two ability boosts. One must be to Charisma or Dexterity, and one is a free ability boost.
You’re trained in the Intimidation skill and the Mercantile Lore skill. You gain the Charming Liar skill feat.
If you want to take it, cool. If not, no worries.
Lucien Lightfoot |
During the day's events, Lucien would be working the crowd looking to uses sleight of hand and other skills to pickpockets, grab loose coins, or otherwise allow valuables (even mostly worthless ones) to find their way to his hand. He would've visited all three of the taverns stocking up on free food.
He probably slept off his full tummy until the noise of the goblin attack awakened him. Seeing fleeing people leaving things behind, he would've ambled closer to the action and looked for any opportune items left behind in the pell-mell. Lucien likely paid little attention to the actual goblins or those fighting them off unless they directly crossed his path, accosted him, or got between him and something shiny.

Okay, GM Lab will be alternate, and DM Doc will join us as a Rogue!
@Doc, when you are ready, chime in as your character so that I can work you in!
This will be my avatar for my (GM Lab's) NPC character/Possible Alternate if needed. Aiuvarin (Half-Elf) Paladin of Iomedae and a friend of Aeshuura's Kusano
