"Is anyone hurt?" the guard quickly scans everyone and it looks to her like everyone is alive, albeit some are hurt.
"Glad to see everyone is safe. But is that Durvest with you, Pathfinders? Why didn't he wait for you? He frantically left this place. Weird." the guard tells them.

What is the effect of taking the fruit?
It is from Varde's Cornucopia. It gives 1d6+4 HP when eaten.
"Forged permit?" the guard is somewhat concern. She looks for the permits that she has received. Looking at the permits, she can't tell if it is forged or what.
She suggests to the group to report back to the venture-captain while she handles the situation with the proper authorities. The group promptly returns to the lodge. Having heard their report, the venture-captain is relieved that they are safe, but he is deeply concerned that that other Pathfinders were at the site first. Balentiir reassures them that he will work with government officials to root out the source of the problem. For now, though, they have earned a rest in the gardens of the Sandswept Halls.
