The clue (for reference):
Excepts from Ulisha’s Journal (Colony)
Different cultures’ treatment of the gods is a point of endless fascination for me. Consider the Rahadoumi and their Laws of Man, rejecting the gods despite the plagues and deserts that eat away at their lands. Others such as the Nidalese have sworn themselves entirely to one god who grants his followers power at a punishing price. The small nation of Razmiran is much like Nidal, in that the people pay homage to a most curious deity: a “Living God” who lives among his people.
Don’t be fooled by his talk of prosperity for all. The Razmiri are an underhanded lot, and I recently heard that the village of Allenstead—once staunchly against the god Razmir—had all converted to Razmir’s worship. Apparently, a priest bearing a jeweled rod recently paid Allenstead a visit and won everyone over within a day. It’s obvious that some dastardly magic is at work here, and that the priest’s golden scepter is at the crux of it all. I wonder what it’s worth?

Did we succeed 8 times?

OK, team, now that we've finished this quest, let's all give Klonac feedback. Please start with something positive you notice, then provide constructive feedback on something you think could have been done better.
The quest was well run. The GM posts were clear and kept the game moving forward. The big problem that happened, namely that someone destroyed the enemy in one hit, is in no way your fault, or anyone else's; it's just the way the adventure is written.
There were a few times when the game lagged a little, waiting for either a GM post or for the GM to push the players forward a little. However, I've noticed that for the past few years all forum games seem to struggle a bit on pace.

I agree, the GM posts were good and always gave us our next steps. The interactions with the villagers were good and gave a little flavor to what was going on rather than just being skill checks.
I think the only thing that I would have liked to see tweaked a little was the wand use by the bad guy. I'm assuming it was either dice or plot driven UMD failures but it would have been nice to either see the magic effect not working or the bad guy more dismayed/surprised/angry about it to drive home that he was either having bad luck or had been sold a bill of goods.
