Cold weather in my part of the world that isn't built for cold weather has kept me too busy to post much, sorry. I'll get Ernie levelled today or tomorrow.

I'm thinking the team should explore the site and see what happens. We don't have our vehicles (and Ernie doesn't have his shotgun, since it's in his vehicle), so it makes sense that we'd look around and see what we have to work with.

I think it was Rex who had the tablet. I'd be ok with someone having it (Ernie probably makes the most sense).

Just Angelyna, I like impersonator because it would make it easier for you to slip in and out of recognizability. Makes me think of when Hanibal is disguised as the Godzilla knockoff in the A-Team. Also gives you some social infiltration abilities.

Fast hands and free running feel on brand for what we have seen so far.

I know this makes me a terrible person, but I have nonetheless never seen the Terminator. It wasn't the kind of movie my parents would let me watch as a kid and I never got around to viewing it as an adult.

Per Ernie's post, exploration sounds good to me.

Sorry, you have told me that before. It is the best example I can think of of an action movie where the protagonist seems to actually start at 1st level and then level up.

I mean, maybe Karate Kid or something, but that's a different kind of movie.

I'll try to use different examples.

Scoundrel level 2!

HP 5 + 2 (Con) = 7

Quickness (Level 2). You can take the Dash or Disengage action as a bonus action. In addition, during a foot chase, you have advantage on Strength (Athletics) checks made as part of a Gain Ground action.

Feats:

Defensive Driving (Minor Feat)
You’ve trained to operate vehicles under hostile and dangerous conditions.

  • You have advantage on Dexterity (Vehicles) checks made to avoid a crash.
  • You give your vehicle advantage on saving throws made against complications.
  • While you operate a vehicle, increase its Constitution modifier by 2.

    Gunfighter (Minor Feat)
You have a quick trigger finger and can shoot accurately in close quarters.

  • You don’t suffer disadvantage for attacking with a firearm against an adjacent opponent.
  • You can take a bonus action to treat any firearm you wield that does not have the slow-firing property as if it had the Burst 3 property until the end of your turn.

  • Hey everyone, I'm making the difficult decision to end my play by post career here on the boards. My energy levels and mental acuity haven't rebounded to where I need to be to communicate effectively as a GM or to keep up a post rate that encourages engagement. As a result, something that was long a source of joy has become a source of frustration and woe.

I appreciate you trying out this game with me. I think I really like the system. It is lightweight but still has some crunch, and characters seem to have interesting abilities that give players some narrative power. Sorry that I couldn't keep it coherent and thank you for sticking it out through all of the stalls and confusion.

I'll give everyone a couple of days to see this message, and then I'll set the campaign to inactive.

    RPG Superstar 2015 Top 8

I'm slightly, but not too, surprised, and completely understand.

I'm sorry that this wasn't what you hoped and am sorry if I did anything that made it harder; at the same time I know you have a lot going on and there are other things making this hard on you. Burnout and life's difficulties happen, and it is a highly valuable skill to know when to pick up one's ball and go home.

I'll PM you later but if you are still interested in that solo game we discussed (me running) I was thinking of giving us both some brain rest time and revisiting the idea in March or so. Let me know here or via PM what you think (and if you don't want to do it that's okay too).

No matter what I hope you continue to recover healthwise. Be well.

On the one hand, bummer; but on the other hand, I get how that goes. It happens!

No worries, tumbler. I'm glad you're making the decision to take care of yourself, and I hope things improve for you. I would love to game with any of you again.
