@Azu You can but the DC is 26. Being in a position to try and disable it also puts you in the way of its trap effect that targets someone close each turn.

@Iustanus The main central room you are in has a large door that is currently closed and impenetrable (but seems to be the way further into the vault). There are a series of four alcoves that are brimming with energy of different types. You have figured out that mosaics along the floors of the alcoves indicate they are differently attuned perhaps linking them to the four seasons, but are trapped and zapping people next to them each turn. It is possible to fool the sensors that are in the room with Expert crafting or thievery or trained Nature (which a couple of you have been attempting, but only one success so far - NE alcove is safe). You have also figured out you can enter the alcoves, and after a turn inside that feels like hours, you return with a key. Trial and error (plus what you know about Bhopan culture) it seems the key needs to be used in the "opposite" season alcove. You currently have keys from the NE and SW alcoves. Lindevaile will also return soon with the key from the NW one. Azu is over by the SE alcove. All that being said, unless you want to jump into the SE alcove to grab a key (taking some damage along the way) or can heal others that do, there is not much else to do in this trap encounter. Going to move the round ahead but let me know if you want to act in round 5 based on this info.

-------------------------------

Although he does not succumb, Azu steps away from the chilly alcove. Lindevaille struggles for what seems like hours in the frigid wasteland to reach the key. She then reappears within her alcove - key in hand - but the oppressive heat overwhelms her again.

Zibini finally tries the "opposite" theory out with the green key. The key snaps into place and the goblin can feel it grip and tighten as if it will not be removed again. Turning the key produces an audible click. The fog on the walls of this alcove (and even in the alcove that Lindevaile is exiting and the one Azu is studying) swirl and shift faster, but a sudden whoosh causes Azu to turn and notice that the interior of the southwest alcove has become a verdant field decorated with flowers as the fog clears from it completely.

Alright, things are stable enough to finish this - out of rounds...

Lindevaile is able to heal and take her key to the southeast alcove and insert it. With a whoosh the trap there is deactivated and the winter alcove to the northwest is revealed in all its grandeur. Retrieving the key for the summer room and inserting the autumn one are easy to time to the remaining trap surges and accomplish without any further danger.

When all four keys are turned simultaneously, a powerful wave of primal magic washes over the room (originating from the alcoves themselves) and the massive black metal vault door swings open, revealing a heavy portcullis, which retreats into the ceiling to reveal yet more doors. All in all, seven massive vault doors in row open in the span of seconds.

It is clearly now time to descend the stairs into the vault’s heart...

Zibini laughs as he looses his power, floating slightly with his toes touching the ground. Colored lights swirl around him. With the traps solved--if not quite resolved, there's a feeling of contentment. He focuses that and shares it around.

@Zibini The last few unspoken rounds as you coordinated the key placement could have been used for your abilities.

Once healed, the group proceeds down the stairs and through the doors.

Beyond the seven vault doors, a breathtaking sight awaits — a sheer endless array of riches and gold, all surrounding a pedestal, atop which a wooden circlet rests. The circlet sprouts flowers and leaves that flourish, wither, and die in an endless cycle.

A familiar but surprising figure stands next to it, glaring angrily at your entrance.

Lelzeshin growls, “The blood of my fellow Bhopanese is on your hands, outsiders. Your refusal forced my hand—forced my fellow citizens to give their lives for Bhopan’s future — but at least your corpses will make for convenient scapegoats. Once the dust settles, which story will the king believe—the one where the Pathfinders who just arrived in Bhopan were once again responsible for treason, or the one where his trusted steward caught on to the Pathfinder’s wily schemes and put his own life at risk to stop their treachery? You’ll be the villains in the legend of my heroism—of Bhopan’s rebirth!”

Zibini laughs brightly as he starts to almost-float, as the others have seen him do a few times now.

He maintains the shield on Lindevaile Tindome, while sharing his elation with his injured allies.

"That's a stupid plan! The king is the one who sent us down here. He knows you killed people before we came here--why do yo think we're here now?"

@Azu They all seem very "sneaky".

Zibini partitions his mind on several tasks. Kaitlyn can't seem to connect her swings but is at least able to help Kyra out. The ranger and companion combine to harry the mirrored creature. Kyra heals herself and moves to provide the monk with a potential flank.
