They're already addled--but more couldn't hurt.

Zibini focuses on brilliant, playful lights. A burst of brilliant white lights appears between the warriors and the king. But too much, too bright!

He also casts a bit of protectiveness towards Kaitlyn.

◆◆ Amped dancing lights. The amped version is an offensive spell--the lights must appear together in one space and must remain together, but every creature in a 5-foot emanation (Red, Orange, and Purple) must make a DC 20 Fortitude save. On a success they're dazzled until the start of Zibini's next turn, and then immune for one minute. On a failure they're dazzled until the start of his next turn and must continue making saves whenever they start their turns adjacent to the lights, and on a critical failure they're also fascinated by the lights.

Uh...what happened? I was waiting for you to resolve Kyra's dispel magic to know if the King was free or not. You also have a line through Round 2 and 3, so was also expecting you to resolve the round. If you don't mind, I'll do my own rolls and actions for round 2 as Azu would never move forward to engage. More instinct than anything else, Iustanus forces the king into submission again with a ripping spell. Azu turns his growing ire toward the nearest guard and he fares no better than his king. Kat regains her feet and a measure of her health. The sole remaining guard defends as best as he can, but just divides the air into pieces.

Focused on saving the king, Kyra stabilizes him and steps forward to engage the holdout.

Looking around the chamber, the sewers appear to be exposed to the surface after the collapse, choked with stone rubble and the bodies of unfortunate Bhopanese civilians who happened to be walking above when the shocks hit. Dozens of personal affects of the fleeing and confused populace protrude from amid the wreckage of the sewer. Do you sift through this stuff and take it?

After healing up and climbing to the surface, back onto the streets of Hoba Dukuza, you witness a horrific sight: dozens of Bhopanese citizens attacking their fellow citizens in a frothing rage as chaos and fire spread throughout the city streets.

The crown penetrates your minds again... "The best way to free Bhopan from Qxal’s fury is to draw their attentions elsewhere by relocating the Perennial Crown. My presence here on the island only strengthens the fiend."

What ideas do you have, Pathfinders?

Lindevaile Tindome looks around, horrified, and starts to head to help the people, but stops when the crown sends its message. "So the best way to help the people would be to just... run away? But where? Wait, we were supposed to meet the ship again! Which way it is?"

She pays no attention to the things dropped by the Bhopanese.

Sensing her compassion, the crown radiates again. "I commend you for wanting too help the citizens in this time of peril but the best way to do that is to escape. You have a boat waiting? Then let us go to the docks. I believe I still know this place, I can lead you..."

------------------

As you make your way through the crowded and chaotic streets of Hoba Dukuza, the sound of spell and clashing steel echoes out from behind a Bhopanese inn that has thus far been spared the worst of the flames that are quickly consuming the city.

Fey-featured Bhopanese civilians are locked in combat: some fight with abandon, their eyes blazing with distant and inhuman fury, while others battle desperately to protect the frightened families that huddle within the building. Khoumrock Blackthane, his signature diving armor glimmering in the firelight, shouts “For the Pathfinder Society! For Bhopan!” as he and a group of sailors charge forth into battle against the people whose minds are trapped under the Thorned Monarch’s sway. Within seconds, the tide of battle turns, and the huddled group in the burning inn’s shadow is safe, at least for a time.

Khoumrock is clearly relieved to see you and waves you closer "I wasn’t sure if ye' survived all the tremors earlier. I just knew I had to'a come ashore and find ye'. The king told me he sent ya' exploring the vaults 'neath the court but then he started feeling strange and had'ta leave. So what happened to y'all down there?"

Lindevaile Tindome tries to explain the situation. "Lelzeshin the advisor wanted this for some reason", she points at the circlet on her head, "and that broke a kind of seal that was holding back an evil presence called Qxal, the Death that Strides Among Leaves, the Burrower Through the Barrows, the Thorned Monarch. The circlet is giving us telepathic messages that we should leave the island to save as much as possible, as it is the evil being that causes the madness here."

"His Majesty King Webhekiz Fourth of His Name Chosen Sovereign of Bhopan by the Grace of the Four Seasons was unfortunately also affected by the madness. We had to knock him unconscious to stop him from attacking us. I hope he will forgive us when the madness passes."

“All right then, seems you handled y'rselves admirably.”

Blackthane shouts to the Pathfinder crew of the Unsinkable, warhammer still firmly in hand. “Now that our ambassadors ta Bhopan have returned, that means everyone’s accounted for. We need to make our way to tha Unsinkable and leave Bhopan behind, f'r now. By Grandpa Blackthane’s burning beard, I don’t like abandoning tha people of Bhopan to a burning city and bloodthirsty fey, but if that magic tiara is right, we’re not equipped to deal with the threat looming o'er this island, and leaving might be our best option of getting that thing to leave the Bhopanese people alone. Can’t cause trouble here if they’re too busy chasing after us, and ain’t no tree-fey’s gonna sink my boat!”

He then turns to approximately two dozen Bhopanese people seeking shelter among the Pathfinder Society.

“The Pathfinder Society—our Society—hasn’t always done the right thing in the past. Torag knows I’ve passed on m'share of ambiguous orders from tha Ten. But I ain’t about to be repeating the mistakes of lesser venture-captains. Bhopan opened its doors to us, trusted us on our word, and I ain’t about to see its people burn because of some megalomaniac fey. Gather your friends and your families, anyone free from this Qxal’s influence. Seek the Pathfinder Society at the docks. It’s time we leave Bhopan, and any who want a place on the Unsinkable can have it. Some Pathfinders will lead the way as our vanguard while others protect the rear. We’ll take a moment to organize, then set out.”

There is precious little time for questions as the Venture-Captain quickly organizes people and other Pathfinders agents to head to his ship. But it is not long before these preparations are interrupted by another fey assault. A small horde of bloodthirsty fey under Qxal’s command comes pouring into the town square.

"You take on the leaders over there! Don't let them cut off our escape route!" Blackthane shouts to you. "We'll protect these here civilians."

The aggressors look like sadistic tiny little gremlins or small bearded old men wielding bloody scythes. With preternatural speed one of them ambles up to the ranger and open up hostilities with a double swing.
