Yikes. I hope it resolves quickly and relatively painlessly.
Haven't posted quite yet just because I'm unsure of what else to do in the scene while waiting for feedback on how Jack's luring the couple over goes. ST, do you want more from Calliope as of right now? Some of this is just lack of familiarity with the system/world, but I'm trying!

Entirely up to you and how you feel Calliope would handle this. Would she be prone to staying back and letting Jack take the lead or would she be more aggressive about this? If she does take a more active role in the scene is it though physical action? Innuendo? Overt language? Discipline use?
Most scenes in this system are roleplay driven and the dice are there to help (or harm) as the case may be.
Does that make sense?
Yeah - I think I'm just so used to being constrained (not in a bad way) by other systems and dice rolls that I get antsy when I haven't needed them and start second-guessing myself. :P I will get a post up as soon as I'm done cooking dinner.

Now that everyone is on their way to the Elysium I will get a post up tonight or tomorrow setting the scene for the gathering. You will have time to interact with others present before the official beginning of the event with Prince Jackson presiding.
I was re-reading some sections of the Player's guide and read a bit about how vampires can't use touchscreen phones because of the lack of heat, etc., and had missed that detail my first read-through and had Calliope using a regular old smartphone.
With that in mind, I would say Calliope has an older model with a keyboard and the like. I do think that's a funny restriction though, given that you can use smart phones with solely a stylus these days--that would get around a lot of things except biometrics. What do you think, ST?
I think that's fairly ridiculous. So as far as I'm concerned using a modern phone etc is fine...unless you happen to be a Lasombra, but that's a story for another time...
I'll keep the Smartphone, then. I think it's a little silly too!

Ah, it's not that bad. It's basically a LARP/STEM themed summer camp, so I get to have fun. Looking to get into teaching myself actually, fingers crossed on the masters programs I applied to!
Hey, good luck! LARP/STEM sounds pretty fun, actually. Teaching is a tough industry right now, but I am 4 years in and still enjoying it, even after COVID and all the after effects.
I had an ex that ran summer camp, her kids went free and she made some tips so it works out pretty well for teachers.

Other concerns:
While the trip to Gary is relatively short from Chicago proper, the space between is known to be Lupine territory. For those of you new to V:tM, Werewolves and Vampires are not exactly friends. If you choose to go to Gary, I will want details around any precautions you take for the trip there.

As for note, I think K's suggestion of the next night isn't a bad idea, but I'm not sure what our options are for places to suggest unless we can just make something up. I don't know how fleshed out these worlds are in terms of places as I can't find any kind of "map" or something, haha, or if it's up to us to fill that out.

Chicago is a big place. There is certainly a bit of latitude to make things up.
As far as a map goes, for most places I'm pulling from real world maps of Chicago.

I will have something posted by the end of tomorrow. They weren't able to get the kidney stone out, so I have another appointment and probably another surgery in my very near future. I've been wiped out by pain and general anesthesia side effects. I'll make sure you guys are aware if I get surgery again so I don't hold things up. :)
I'm getting another surgery on Friday. I will probably be out of touch all weekend...but it looks like this time will actually work. Sorry for all the disruptions! I'm not having a good time with this health stuff, lol.

Second time was indeed the charm, but the surgeon had to work pretty hard to get it out and as such I've had a rough recovery. I will have a post up during my lunch break tomorrow (around 11am EST) and provided nothing else freakin' comes up, I should be back to regular posting. Thanks for your patience, everyone.
Glad to hear it. I know for me surgery throws everything else in life out of whack and is incredibly draining. Please take however much time you need for a proper recovery, physically, mentally, and emotionally.
For sure. Two major anesthesia events within 10 days of one another has left me feeling very drained. Then, today was the first day of school...so I dealt with 100 new faces (I teach high school english) and giving them the same 'first day of school' spiel over and over! lol. I'm ready to be back into this -- my hobby.
Was sick all week, just had enough energy to work plus both my kids started new schools this week so it was hectic on top of that.

The post monster gets us all sometimes, this morning I had a fairly long post in my Vampire Venice game where only the first half posted. I am so ingrained in copying what I write and verifying that a post goes through that I do it every time now. Takes longer to post but that's better than a good post being eaten...
