The wide catacomb chamber has rows of burial niches cut into the stone walls. These have all been stripped bare of any former occupants. Half a dozen ten-foot-high mounds of dirt and debris dominate the floor of the chamber, reaching nearly to the ceiling fifteen feet above. Across the way Shathee sees a hallway that exits from the room.
Shathee moves around the north side of the room, aiming to stay away from the large dirt piles. He begins skirting past the alcoves, glancing in each one for anything unusual, but makes his way slowly to the other side of the room.
The other follow Shathee around the north side of the room, Molasbar's light illuminating just a small portion of the large chamber. The group is about halfway across the room when the see movement at the top of the nearest mound. An ant the size of a very large dog comes clambering up as if to declare a challenge to the control of its mound.
