Vega had loaded up with combat spells since this was a Zo! show - and combat always seem inevitable in Zo!'s game shows so she had one magic missile spell left.

"I'm not a magic-user, but from what I know something like energy ray is good for versatility, since you can hit with any kind of energy, but not as good for pure power. Up to you, but I'd recommend a backup."

"I doubt it. Getting us off-world would involve more comprehensive regulations. Bringing scarlet worms here, maybe, but even then you'd have to make sure the transport complied with regulations for the treatment of animals. He could go for something black market, but... if Zo! is anything, he is infuriatingly above-board."

Mmm. Something with more range and more force. I can do fire, cold, electricity and ... erm ... acid but it tends to fizzle out after ten ... sorry ... thirty feet. I probably should get something that's got more punch and a longer range .... erm ... sonic perhaps? There seems so much to choose from.

Miink lands on the back of the couch and nods to Vega.

“I tried that too, Vega. I ran into the same problem you found. I just couldn't do enough damage to enemies with that spell. It works great for welding metal and starting fires, but not much more now. We got more powerful, but the spell didn't. That’s why I carry this.”

She pulls out her sonic pistol and hands it to Vega.

“It’s out of your price range right now, but you’ll be able to buy one soon. Your energy ray is handy, but a good energy pistol is also your friend. And some spare batteries.”

After a while, Miink yawns and stretches her wings, then retrieves her pistol from Vega.

The group takes a rest, but notices nothing unusual about the opposing team.

Once the rest period is over. (10-min rest is possible), the group is taken away and ushered into an elevator. After a lengthy ride the contestants travel through a folding aluminum tunnel to an airlock door and emerge onto a destroyer-class starship of standard Pact Worlds design, impossibly housed within a floor of Zo!’s studio megacomplex.

“Our final challenge simulates boarding action on a craft traveling through hostile space!” Quell’s voice reverberates through the cargo hold.

“With weapons set to stun, our intrepid teams fight for control of the ship.” Lethea takes over the explanation: “A team earns 30 points for capturing the enemy flag, 40 points for capturing the unclaimed flag and 10 points for taking out an enemy. When the doors open, the battle begins. Good luck, warriors!”

There are three flag: once is your, one with the enemy team and there's a third flag hidden somewhere. You must prominently display the flag (which weighs 3 bulk), but you can carry it around (I'd need a designated bearer for that)

The group's weapons are replaced with identical copies with merciful fusion. It is made clear that it is strictly forbidden to cause lethal harm. Each team has 3 round to prepare in their 'home base' before the doors open.

What about my gear form weapons? I won't use them if they say not to, but would I be able to get merciful versions of one of those?

Oshari cracks his knuckles. "Right, I think either Miink or I should take the flag. I'm the best tank, and Miink can fly and keep out of reach, but I'm not sure how high the ceilings are. I'm good at searching, too."

20 sp, 18 hp, can use Reactive Repair to get fast healing 1 and 1 temp hp per round, 14/16 AC, +7 perception. Also with the cloud array, I'll get a 10% miss chance, and if I use my pike I'll have 10ft reach, all of which would be good for staying standing.

“That could work. They look kinda bulky, but I think I can carry two of them without getting too tired. I can shove one in my backpack and carry the other one as we move.”

She looks down at her hands. “You probably know this already, but I’m terrible at finding things. I’ll help if I can, but I get distracted….”

She shrugs. “I like shiny stuff. If the world weren't filled with so many interesting things, it wouldn't be so hard to stay on task.”

@GM — Are we assuming that the room’s magic also makes spell damage non-lethal? Miink still has two first level and two second level attack spells left that she wants to use..

She's just under 1 bulk right now. If the flags are 3 bulk, that puts her just below seven bulk by using her backpack.
