The tower girls had already moved and essentially round 1 was the threat so sneak atk dmg will not count. I have named them and given them nameplates to make the writeup sound better.

Haven't seen Leylia post in a while, she is welcome to return but I'm just going to phase her out for now. I'll send a pm to see how she is.

Rheagar actually goes after the tower girls so I changed his movement to end in a flank of Kim. Feel free to change your location.

Shathee's offensive injures Jane. Molasbar is a little too quick on the trigger and his bolt flies wide. Then Len sidesteps and attacks Aurie drawing blood (dmg 7). Kim dances past Aurie but can't avoid Aurie's backhanded slash (AOO dmg 9). She (Kim) makes up for it by stabbing Aurie while she is distraced by Len (dmg 8). Meanwhile Jane retaliates against Shathee and cuts him (dmg 5).

Rules lawyering:

I did specify that I am opportune parry and riposting (parrying twice), and did post the rolls in my last post under a spoiler.

Here are the rules for it:
Opportune Parry and Riposte (Ex): At 1st level, when an opponent makes a melee attack against the swashbuckler, she can spend 1 panache point and expend a use of an attack of opportunity to attempt to parry that attack. The swashbuckler makes an attack roll as if she were making an attack of opportunity; for each size category the attacking creature is larger than the swashbuckler, the swashbuckler takes a –2 penalty on this roll. If her result is greater than the attacking creature’s result, the creature’s attack automatically misses. The swashbuckler must declare the use of this ability after the creature’s attack is announced, but before its attack roll is made. Upon performing a successful parry and if she has at least 1 panache point, the swashbuckler can as an immediate action make an attack against the creature whose attack she parried, provided that creature is within her reach. This deed’s cost cannot be reduced by any ability or effect that reduces the number of panache points a deed costs.

I did roll a 24 for my first parry, and a 25 for my second one, which if it is higher then what they rolled, makes them miss. The 24, if it beats the first attack roll, also boinks them back for the specified damage.

Which does not however change my actions

Its one now

Aurie Bloodrages for +4 Dex

full attack two weapon fighting with serpent runner Falcata: 1d20 + 7 + 2 + 1 - 1 ⇒ (1) + 7 + 2 + 1 - 1 = 10

full attack two weapon fighting with serpent runner Kukri: 1d20 + 7 + 2 + 1 - 2 ⇒ (19) + 7 + 2 + 1 - 2 = 27 damage: 1d4 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5

full attack two weapon fighting with serpent runner Kukri: 1d20 + 7 + 2 + 1 - 2 ⇒ (8) + 7 + 2 + 1 - 2 = 16 damage: 1d4 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4

Aurie epically fails to connect with her Falcata, but her Kurki strikes true!

One day I will run a sociological experiment on what percentage of the population would switch these rolls around haha

DM / GM / The man behind the curtain

That's not rules lawyering, that's reminding. Outstanding use of panache and the parry ability. Love it. The way I read it, on the first one you get to attack back but it requires a follow on roll.

Shathee's offensive injures Jane. Molasbar is a little too quick on the trigger and his bolt flies wide. Then Len sidesteps and attacks Aurie but her attack is parried. Kim dances past Aurie but can't avoid Aurie's backhanded slash (AOO dmg 9). Kim slips in behind Aurie even with the nasty counter-attack and stabs but her attack as well is parried. Meanwhile Jane retaliates against Shathee and cuts him (dmg 5).

Aurie then lays into Len and sends the woman to the ground, blood pooling around her.

There is some table variation on it, some say if you parry and riposte your parry roll is your attack roll, some say you roll again for the riposte. What is certain is: You have to shout that you parry before you see the GMs attack roll, and you do waste it even if it hadnt hit you n the first place.

parry and riposte the next attack if the Kukri hit confirmed which lets me have 2 panache:

diplomacy: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (19) + 9 = 28

This is not a gang war. We got an effing cleric of Iomedae, the clerics of she who has the stickiest stick up her arse dont do gang wars. They are pretty big on anti-demon-stuff, and you are dicking around in a place thats probably an old thassilonian demon prison.
She gives a friendly if predatory grin.

Let me make a guess, your leader got stronger and/or more charismatic, she occassionally talks with things that only she can see and absolutely refuses to ever be parted from some shiny thing she picked up here? She goes on and on about how this place is super quadruple giga important, but you actually dont even get to do any normal towergirl stuff like stealing from living rich people, because this place clearly comes first yada yada?

She pauses

They have good kits for stealing, and a number of non lethal things available. They dont have good kit for murdering. My guess is that they mostly use climbing skills to get into highborn hourses, are more likely then not to incapaciate and bind a guard then to kill him and probably want to get back to doing just that, and not sit on top of a ruin.

Let me make another guess, one of her negative personality traits, probably wrath since you are clearly scared of her losing patience, got massively supercharged?

Have you already been at the point where she ritualistically murdered one of you who disagreed with her? Because thats whats typically next, that or were she makes you all eat something that will then bind you to her forever or something
She pauses again
I mean, going on a limb here but that describes Natalya quite well

As to why we are trying to not kill you? Demons are jerks and love bloodshed, blood spilled frees them perhaps. So, you let the cleric stabilize your fallen friends, and you win because your friends are alive, and we win because hej, less death fueling the demon prison break. You could of course also go for the cool option and decide that becoming meatpuppets for interplanar a&%~~&$s is for f+@$ing suckers, and just leave.

Aurie is genuinely trying to minimize deaths, certainly deaths of people she does emphathize with. And to talk her way through the 2 turns of fatgiue. I definilty want others time to but in! As such: inner monolouge. Aurie also considers flowery insults an art form.

inner monolouge:

My mother had racked up enough favors with whoever or whatever that "Alithera"is to have me have a pretty cozy upbringing with a pretty good education, no big need for crime, there was even a fencing instructur. Would I have become something akin to a thief or worse without this? Pretty sure yes.

While duels are cool, they are also major spotlight hogging, so I have absolutey zero issues if there wont be one, its absolutely in character for her to offer a challenge, especially considering that the shard should make an already pridefull character even prouder

acrobatics to pass through rats square intention is to move to where she is on the map now without provoking: 1d20 + 9 + 2 ⇒ (16) + 9 + 2 = 27
I am gonna go on a limb and say that goes through a rats CMD +5

acrobatics to avoid AoO from the second: 1d20 + 9 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 9 + 2 = 12 Failure, second rats get an AoO

Aurie uses Rhaegars shoulder to jump as a starting point to acrobatically jump over the first rat, but nearly stumbles on the tail on the second one which may or may not suceed in biting her. Annoyed, she lashes out at the rat behind her!

Falcata: 1d20 + 9 + 2 ⇒ (16) + 9 + 2 = 27
damage: 1d8 + 7 ⇒ (6) + 7 = 13

And obliberates it!

Efficient would be waiting for Rhaegar, but Aurie is extremely hotheaded right now.

4 out of 6 Bloodrage rounds remaining
Panache back to 3 because I killed a rat

opportune Parries vs Tower girls or rat girls aurie thinks the remaining rat isnt worth spending panache on:

parry: 1d20 + 9 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 9 + 2 = 15
riposte: 1d20 + 9 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 9 + 2 = 19
damage: 1d8 + 7 ⇒ (8) + 7 = 15
parry: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (20) + 11 = 31
1 Panache remaining if both parries were used

DM / GM / The man behind the curtain

Aurie moves into the second rat's threatened square, not passing through it. A corner gives cover so you get no AoO around a corner.

Aurie clears the rat and destroys it.

Round 6; PCs are blessed
Aurie 22/26

Molasbar draws another arrow and lets out his breath. The suxxess of his first arrow and the sting of his new wound actually helps him reign in his panic. He fires again at the rat lady.

Prescience 1d20 ⇒ 2, 4 out of 8 used

Longbow with a cold iron arrow with silver blanching applied.
To hit 1d20 + 4 + 1 ⇒ (20) + 4 + 1 = 25 damage 2d6 ⇒ (6, 2) = 8.

Edit: Possible crit! Try to confirm 1d20 + 4 + 1 ⇒ (20) + 4 + 1 = 25 and, if so, extra damage 4d6 ⇒ (6, 3, 5, 4) = 18.

Wow he is good! Aurie thinks as she watches the rat lady getting to experience expert elfen archery in a hands on fashion.

Dwarf Cleric 2 HP: 27/27 AC 17 t 11 FF 16, Fort 5 Ref 1 Will 9, Init 0 Perc 5

Rheagar steps forward behind Aurie, keeping his shield angled to deflect arrows from the tower girls while unleashing a devastating moulinet strike at the rat next to her. Which skips off the stone floor of the room.

Attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (5) + 5 = 10
Damage: 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7

Male Sylph Unchained Rogue 3 | HP 17/24 | AC20 T17 FF 14 | F1 R9 W2 | CMD18 | Init+9 | Percep +7 | current effects:

Shathee darts forward past his allies as he drops his bow behind him. As he quick steps to the front of the fray, he draws the mithril shortsword and stabs at the ratgirl.

Or the towergirl on the left, if there is nothing left of the ratgirl after that massive shot.

Shathee should have cover moving through Aurie's square to prevent an AOO from the donkey rat, but he's willing to take it if the rat can manage.

Attack: 1d20 + 7 + 1 ⇒ (19) + 7 + 1 = 27
Damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2

And there is another threat to crit for this round... (Edit)Alas, it was not meant to be.

Confirmation: 1d20 + 7 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 7 + 1 = 9
Additional Damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6

DM / GM / The man behind the curtain

Moving through a friendly space does not prevent attacks of opportunity. While cover does, soft cover does not.

Molasbar puts an arrow in the rat girl's eye and she topples backward without so much as a whimper. As Shathee passes the rat it reacts quickly and bites his calf cutting deep (dmg 4). When he makes it to the frontline he stabs the nearest towergirl. After the well voiced threats and now the near instant death of their lieutenant, they've had enough. They both rush for the stairs (Shathee gets and AoO as they flee, I believe he only has 1 and assume he will atk the injured tower girl). Not knowing any better, the rat continues trying to bite Aurie, but finds only air.

Aurie full attacks the remaining rat

attack falcata: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (3) + 10 = 13
damage falcata: 1d8 + 7 ⇒ (5) + 7 = 12
attack kurki: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (20) + 8 = 28

She then pops out of bloodrage, being fatigued for 4 turns.

3 rounds of rage remaining.
