Relgar nods at Mallycorn's words. He attempts to add a bit more of a practical slant to the priest's message.
"Mallycorn has the right of it. We have not exactly seen eye to eye in the past but it seems in everyone's best interest now if we work together. With Krant dead, the temple looted and all of us gone it will not take a genius to figure out what has happened. To make it plain they are going to assume that we are in it together to either just loot their temple or to bring them down. At this point it is fair to say that we are all enemies of the church."
"It is in everyone's interest for us to work together to defeat them quickly and you can help us and most importantly yourself with no risk or cost."
Tears stream from Evlar's eyes. The last several days have clearly been too much for him, and now his teenage bluster and snark are gone. "O--Okay, I'll tell you everything I saw. I thought joining that church would make everything better, but instead it just made me even more lonely." He sniffs. "I don't wanna be like them. I want out while I still can." The youth proceeds to confirm what you witnessed yourselves and more that you may have only suspected--the cruelty, the beatings, the pickpocketing and extortion, and more. Even better, he agrees to repeat what he saw to whomever you like if it'll help shut the cult down before they can come after him.
Once Reginar has had a chance to interview Evlar, he rushes off to his contacts to relate the eyewitness testimony and other evidence you gathered from the temple. Within hours, word has filtered back of the sudden and startling results: Forest Marshal Gavrik has ordered the faith outlawed in Tamran, and a garrison of rangers has moved in to arrest the cultists before pulling down the entire building and putting it to the torch! The temple's acolytes will be sent home, while the faith's leaders (at least those who survived--they put up quite the fight!) are to be placed behind bars.
When Reginar returns, the boisterous man is smiling and holding a lead.
Behind him, a happy and healthy Shaggy is overjoyed to see his favorite person waiting.
"Not a bad week's work, agents!" says Reginar. "Tamran will be much better off for the work you've done. And although we weren't able to find that priestess Iramine, we know where she's headed. If I know Cygar, he'll keep on her trail until that amulet is recovered."
