This ring may be the first item that has the Invested trait. Unless I am forgetting one.
Anyway, just be aware of the Invest an item rules - which is the replacement of PF1 item slots that prevent you from wearing 9 rings or 3 amulets.

Happy Yule, everyone!
I will probably be a slow poster in the next week or so, just putting that out there.

Catalina Estrati |

Happy Yule to you, too! :D
Caiten, I thought of that exact thing when I read it, lol.

Sorry my posting has been erratic and slow. The holidays are not a very good time for me this year because of grief and all the struggles that has been bringing. I probably won't get anything up tonight. Thanks for your patience.
(If you see this more than once, I'm copy-pasting it to my other games!)

Hang in there, Catalina. It's hard for a lot of people. <3
Feliz Nochebuena, everyone. I'll be bringing my elderly mum over this evening for food and festivities with my family. When she was a kid, her brother got the train set, and she didn't, but now she has a train set (it's set up for her) with presents in the middle. :)

Hey Caiten ... when you get a minute, will you do your K10 thing for me like you do? You know pretty much everything, so it's super helpful.
In 1e, from way back in the beginning in the Elves supplement, there's a cool prestige class called Brightness Seeker. I thinking how cool it would be for Cev, and yet, in 2E, the only thing I can find is one ancestry feat. Am I missing something? Totally empty handed on the cool progression I was thinking of :(

Yasami |

Depends on which part of the PrC you are after, I guess.

Haven't heard of Brightness Seeker before - I'm not an expert on PF1. I can look it up though...
That is a very eclectic group of abilities. I don't think there is one PF2 place to go to for all of them.
Discover Omen sounds a lot like Bit of Luck. There may be some other Fortune effects that would fit the niche also.
Favored Pilgrim could be handled by several skill feats or maybe an ancestry feat. Glad Hand or maybe A Home in Every Port.
Channel Past Incarnation, and Wild Shape could be handled with Druid (wild) archetype to get Wild Morph and Wild Shape.
Commune with Nature - there is a Ritual by that name that is fairly similar, but it takes a day to cast. Check out the Consult the Spirits skill feat also.
Druid gets Wild Empathy automatically, but it isn't available from the Druid Archetype. Ranger and Beastmaster can get it though - so I would imagine that Fern would let you get it from Druid archetype the same as you could from Ranger archetype - via the Basic or Advanced Wilding feat. Just pretend that Wild Empathy was on the list of Druid feats also.
Tranquility Aura is best handled by Champion Aura of Courage. Instead of preventing the fear, it makes it go away a lot faster.
I'm not aware of anything similar to Rebirth. That is a bit of an odd ability anyway though.

Heh. The one party member that can understand the language is the one party member that didn't fight the Emperor Birds with us.

You're the BEST.
Maybe the PrC was too much of a mismash, but I've always loved its flavor.Thee's a new dedication coming up, Cev can go with that.
Keep it simple. A little extra magic never hurt.

Cev definitely needs to share that little snippet of information.

Catalina Estrati |

Cev definitely needs to share that little snippet of information.
The angelkin aasimar certainly agrees >_>

Catalina Estrati |

Gently poking at you, Fern, for a standard DC on the enemy so I know if my exploit vulnerability stuff was successful <3 If I have that up front, makes it less work for you.

Caiten |

Yasami: Dueling Dance?

Yasami |

Dueling Parry. My mind is in the future.

Cevendyll |

Cev definitely needs to share that little snippet of information.
Did he seriously not!?
WHEW - okay, I'm glad he did ... but I do not see that the assailant was Auto-Glimpsed.Can we chronomance that!?

Catalina Estrati |

that was posted before you revealed the information. nothing needs to be done.

Hey, I’ll be watching the sunset from Keys View in Joshua Tree tomorrow, so may not be posting for 24-36 hours. Feliz Año Nuevo! May it bring righteous justice!

Caiten |

I do not see that the assailant was Auto-Glimpsed.
Can we chronomance that!?
You can also post that happening yourself. Especially if we are still in the initiative block immediately after the attack happened. It does take some re-accounting of things at times.

*Makes the frustrated muttering noises Joe Pesci makes in Home Alone at her own inability to remember that reaction*

Caiten |

I don't see anywhere that says constrict can't be used multiple times a round, if you know otherwise Caiten lemme know
I also don't see any reason not to use it repeatedly.
The Flourish trait is specifically created to restrict an action to only be used once each round. But since Constrict doesn't have that, you could use it three times in a round if you wanted. Though that means that you couldn't keep the grapple going.

Quick note: Catalina doesn't keep the forbidding ward AC bonus anyway. It needs to be sustained, and Lisi did not sustain his spell.
Catalina would only have the +2 from LoH anyway since they don't stack and it is the better bonus.

Hey, everyone. Happy new year. May it be at least as good as the last one. While that may not be a very high bar, I hope it gets better woth time. With thay said, I am happy to be here. I might not post as much as I would like, this is a fun group.
Anyway, I am a bit too tipsy to make a gameplay post. Will get into that in the morning.

Yeah, I only used it for a quick help-out. Ah, spell bonuses! Argh!
Yasami, CHEERS, KAN PAI, EIN PROSIT, etc. Arriba, abajo, al dentro, al centro!

Just clarifying since it's come up twice since this battle started, the 2 action version of Heal adds the 8 extra points, the 3 action version does not, and is a flat 1d8. If you look at the text for heightening the spell they specifically clarify only the 2 action version gets the modifier, and the spell descriptions usually state if you get all the benefits from a lesser version of a spell, this one does not. Not nagging, just clarifying! <3

Yasami and Dario now: We got you, guys.

Lisitsei Nagorát |

Oops, I need to prep the heightened version!

Lisitsei Nagorát |

well, that was fun. We were without internet and *half* our power for a few hours. I learned about storm bombification! bomb-ification, not the other thing.

Dario Zuz |

"It actually is an improvement." Yasami continues the procedure. "Just play nice. He's a troubled one." she whispers after a short pause.
This can be taken a lot of ways but I'm taking it for a sweet, protective moment. It made me audibly go "Awwww".

Yasami |

I originally went for 'delicate', but reconsidered.
And yea. Yasami is your protective older sister.
Of ALL of you. Not just Dario.

Putting this little apology in all my games, sorry for the slow posts from me lately! First the holidays, then some personal stuff cropped up, then work blocked paizo--and my classroom is a concrete bunker with no phone signal, so my prime posting time has been stolen. My interest is NOT waning, just taking time to work out a new routine. I hate posting from my phone but mostly have to for now.
I believe I will find out if I have almost the opposite problem tomorrow ... when the PCR test comes back. The test on my counter is absolutely positive for COVID: again. :( Could be a lot of extra posting time :(

Jeez, is this like the 4th time? Are you actively eating bats, or something?
But yeah, hope you don't experience symptoms. If you do, hope you feel better soon.

But it's hospitality, to get thru last weekend and not be ill would be a miracle, and Cev has wracked a few of those up. Gotta take a bullet now & then.

Oren Strelov |

I hope you recover quick, Cev!
And odd how Paizo's been banned at the school Fern and Catalina work at. None of the schools I ever worked at banned Paizo.

tbh hospitality is my 2nd career, my first was technology
the only reason to block Paizo is to be punitive or overly compliant in some way: it uses almost no resources to access it. So now, if our friends really really wanted to access it, they would need to file some kind of justification form that showed the relationship of public funds to the access of the resource. #LAME

I'm bringing a baseball bat and waiting for the IT team. -is kidding, doesn't have a baseball bat- :P

Hey All, I have a spot opening up in my Reign of Winter campaign, in case someone wants to join the quest to help(!?) Baba Yaga. We have just started Maiden, Mother, Crone, and the characters are at level 6. We have an archer-cleric, a sword-wielding investigator, and a thoughtful witch. Our most excellent Jadwiga grappler has to bow out due to health/life reasons.
Here is the gameplay thread. I intend to GM this all! the! way! and it's my only other game besides Age of Chatty, I mean Ashes. :)
Lemme know if you are interested or if you know someone who might me. Thanks! <3

Yasami |

Tempting. I may be interested. So just 3 characters in that game at the moment?

Lisitsei Nagorát |

That's correct. I like having a small group. :) USUALLY that's easier to maintain course and speed, GM Fern managing to prove me exceptionally incorrect with her excellent game mastery :D
