Lybram Tendras
|
Lybram will double move into the room with his bow out and ready. He will veer left as he enters moving out of the doorway and away from the eyeball creature.
on phone will move myself later today.sorry for delay.
| DM Carbide |
Yes, you can move into the room without any problems. Except for the div.
Lybram Tendras
|
Finally finished my double move. Sorry for the delay.
"What is that eyeball thing? How do we kill it?"
Corbrae Illynel
|
"What is that eyeball thing? How do we kill it?"
Quickly, I hope.
Any bard worth his salt wouldn't miss the chance for a witticism in the midst of a battle
As far as I know, a div resists damage from all but cold iron or good weapons, is immune to fire and poison, and resists spells, acid damage, and electrical damage. So we have to use our spells and weapons accordingly. I guess that's more helpful than a pun, however great the timing was.
Lybram Tendras
|
"Cold iron then. Got it."
Corbrae? Did you want to move up as well or maybe you already did? Seems like it is the Div's turn then.
Viridian Torr
|
If and when the last cat is dropped, Viridian and Blitz will step over the corpses and into the room, hugging the right-hand wall as they watch the out-worldly creature.
Not sure if still in rounds or already went, but intent is to move to attack.
| DM Carbide |
You're still in rounds.
The div hisses something else, and the floating hand darts forward at Meresiel! She gets an AoO against it on the approach; otherwise, it touches her and she'll need to make a DC 16 Will save or take a -6 penalty to her DEX.
Round 3:

Will: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (14) + 3 = 17
"Ha" She shouts.
Mrs. Book
|
Mrs. Book just hurries to the forefront where she can see the thing. The way there is so cluttered with pathfinders that it takes a while to find a useful location (double move).
Viridian Torr
|
Get it!
The wolf races forward to bite the creature.
bite: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (5) + 6 = 11 for bite: 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7 (plus trip) 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (16) + 4 = 20
+2 to the above for IC from Bard...still likely misses
Viridian has to double-move to keep up with Blitz.
Iladora Unfallen
|
With the path clear, Iladora moves into the room and fires a volley at the div.
Longbow 1 + Inspire Courage + Favored Enemy (evil outsider) vs div: 1d20 + 6 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 6 + 2 + 2 = 15

Longbow 2 + Inspire Courage + Favored Enemy (evil outsider) vs div: 1d20 + 6 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 6 + 2 + 2 = 16
Damage + Inspire Courage + Favored Enemy (evil outsider): 1d8 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 2 + 2 = 11
| DM Carbide |
Iladora, AFAIK the Rapid Shot feat only gives an additional arrow as part of a full-attack action, so since you moved more than 5' you'd only get one shot at no penalty to hit.
Iladora Unfallen
|
Sorry, you're right. First attack would be a 17 instead of a 15 and no second attack.

Meresiel? You took your AoO last round, and can act this round. If you get any closer to the div, though, make a DC 16 Fort save or be stunned for a round.
| DM Carbide |
Meresiel makes the mistake of staring the div in its single eye, and is transfixed so she can't act.
Blitz and Viridian, you also need to make saves or be stunned and stop about 25 feet away from the div.
| DM Carbide |
The druid and his companion resist the pull of the div's eye and close, but Blitz is unable to sink his teeth into the unnatural creature. It claws at him and hits once for 8 HP.

In her haste, the second arrow goes embarrassingly wide.
| DM Carbide |
Iladora, are your arrows anything special (alchemical silver, cold iron, magic, etc.)?
Iladora Unfallen
|
Unfortunately no, just mundane arrows. Pretty terrible luck that those damage rolls aren't reversed.
| DM Carbide |
Round 4 (ongoing):
Iladora hits the div with an arrow, but her timing on the next shot is thrown off when the first arrow fails to do any damage.
Merisiel to go!
| DM Carbide |
Meresiel stays out of range of the div's gaze and throws a dagger at it. The dagger is on target but bounces off of the creature's unnaturally-tough flesh.
It continues to claw at the stunned wolf, trying to put Blitz out of the fight before the faithful companion is able to attack. One hits for 8 HP.

Sorry folks. We, and I especially, keep forgetting bonuses. In round three, Lybram cast bless on every one. It should stack with inspire courage but only in the "to hit". It is a morale bonus and inspire courage is a competence bonus for the "to hit". The save verses fear bonus does not stack as both are morale. I did not include this on my last attack nor do I think it has ever been used in this casting. If my interpretation of the bonus stacking is incorrect then all is good, but if it would indeed help, please use it.
"Iladora, I have cold iron arrows in my hip quiver, black fletching. If you can grab them, you are welcome to them.
