As Vivi is now where he was he opens the doors and moves into the next room. Seeing a door in the direction of the gibbering he moves to the door.

Round 2
He opens the door and moves into the room to be adjacent to the moving puddle of eyes and mouths, sword in hand...


Round 1
Everyone makes their saves! YAY! Aukan goes through the door he opens. Sassarra and Liam both shoot and miss the target. Vivi rushes the wall and breaks off a dozen more stones making is possible to squeeze through next round. Dex DC 14 for a large character.

Round 2

ranged touch vs. Vivi: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (6) + 6 = 12

A stream of acidic spittle shoots at Vivi. blinded for 1d4 rounds unless he succeeds on a DC 18 Fortitude check.

The gibbering mouther does stay away from the hole on the far side of the room.

The door north of Aukan opens up before he gets to act and sees something.

TACTICS
Before Combat Grundmoch casts shield of faith if he suspects
combat is drawing near.
During Combat Grundmoch knows he is heavily armored, and
takes the first several rounds of combat to arrogantly cast his
offensive spells at foes, even in melee. He saves his wand to
use against enemies who prefer to fight at range. If the PCs

seem to be able to hit him, he casts hold person and blindness/
deafness on those PCs, then casts divine favor and switches to
his +1 greataxe.

in poor condition. A careful DC 20 Search check reveals a
few more valuable pieces including a dented brass canteen
inlaid with silver trimming worth 200 gp, a gold bracelet
inlaid with turquoise stone worth 500 gp, and a decorative
golden helmet inlaid with a few small pieces of quartz

Fort save: 20 + 5 = 25 Narrators voice: Both Vivi and her Valkyrie have eaten things worse then the acidic spittle, Vivi while being really drunk at Fantasy Wacken, Her Valkyrie also, although she was busy biting her way out of a Qlippoth that got swallow whole of on her, still, the attempted blinding attempt gave her an idea!

To draw in her adversary, she gives her own take at Gorums worship, having a radiant naked Vivi appear in front of him, which explodes in a Burst of Radiance as the Trog looks at her fine form.

Second game today where I've said I don't understand how the descriptions I'm reading and the map linked as the combat map correlate. I'm going to describe intent, and not touch the map.

"Blunt weapons are best! The thing is going to try to consume you!"

Auso moves up behind those engaging with the aberration, trying to ready himself to heal them when they need it . . ..

Got no bludgeoning weapons, and no consistent damage big enough to overcome DR. Not really built for this fight . . .. Edit: Yeah, okay.
Not really built to fight at all.


Halfling Hunter 1

What map are we on? Just going to give it a best guess right now.

Liam moves up to attack the creature with his scimitar. I'll flank with someone if I can.

It's difficult to try and get around two big allies, but she'll try to harm the shrieking thing. At least her blast of water hit like a blunt object.

Vivi casts a spell of light that might have blinded more. Liam charges into the room past Aukan and up to the trogodyte slashing at it with his scimitar, though the attack goes wide and for some reason it does not take the opportunity to strike. Though it does make a toothy grin.

Sassarra misses again. Auso gives advice in fighting with the creature, prepares healing for Vivi.

The trog steps back and holding its unholy symbol before it in one hand and greataxe in the other. He yowls out a spell of some sort. Liam fort save DC 16

Spellcraft DC 18:

The gibbering mouther sends another spew of spittle at Vivi. Then it moves to Vivi's right.

Aukan follows and passes Liam in order to get a good strike in, luckily the trog didn't have both hands on the greataxe. The greatsword cleaves through armor and flesh.

CUKA BLAYD, Temporarily blinded As vivi tries to get the goo of her eyes, moving forwards half her speed.

If I cant see you, you cant see me stupid mouther! Lets level the playing field

Vivi moves to the indicated position, and casts "obsuring mists", shrouding Aukan and Liam in it. Liam should have concealment 50%, Aukan concealment 20% against the trog, and the effing mouther can now actually miss haha!

How long am I blind?

Sassarra was just getting the range down when the mists curl in. She thought that one day she might learn to see through such obstructions, but she goes for it anyway.

Round 3

Liam blindly swings at where he thought the trog was and misses. Auso follows. Sassarra shoots and knows she hits, the mist is with Aukan. Vivi is blind for 1 round. Vivi moves into the next room and puts up a mist. The trog apparently does nothing but move... the mouther moves to the other side of the room and shoots Sassarra with its spittle missing her.

Liam and Auso strike at the trog... wait the trog isn't there any more... You swinging at the large form in front of you?

obscuring mist:
The vapor obscures all sight, including darkvision, beyond 5 feet. A creature 5 feet away has concealment (attacks have a 20% miss chance). Creatures farther away have total concealment (50% miss chance, and the attacker cannot use sight to locate the target).

Sassarra what are you blasting? To see it you likely will have to get up to the crack...

After moving and shooting another blast of bludgeoning water at the gibbering mouther, it finally stops. It also seems very quiet. No sounds of attack or even much movement.

"This d@mn mist covered its tracks good," he begins to say and moves into the room more. Finding the opening that the trog is working with he slams his greatsword into the creature from behind. Cleaving armor and flesh in the same swing.

The archeologist will assist with digging through the detritus. While he works, though, he hears Liam's request, and thinks back over what he saw and heard in the fight.

"I think it cast a Blindness spell. Since the resulting curse is already in place, I think you will require a Remove Curse, or Remove Blindness/Deafness, to clear it and restore your vision. I don't believe any of us are capable of preparing either spell. Wish I had better news for you."

Perception: 1d20 + 19 ⇒ (20) + 19 = 39 Not really required, but trying to be honest about action which would have gotten rolls in a FtF game.

Back to our Gorrumite Cleric friend? If we somehow find a scroll of either of these spells I can cast it, but I dont have a way of casting it innately.

Vivi walks over to Liam and places his left hand and her belt to guide him.

Not only does the archeologist NOT interfere with showing th treasures to the others . . ..

"Hmph. Overly decorated helmet. Ceremonial item. Must be. This bracelet is a nice piece. You see how the carved strings weave together, leaving empty spaces between them, some filled with turquoise. This sort of weave was popular for around 300 years. Always been partial to this kind of design, myself. This canteen, though. THAT is something special. It obviously belonged to someone with quite a bit of wealth or station. Might be able to get a skilled smith to fix the dent . . .."

Not sure who this is. Might shouldn't have gone for a joke there. But it's better than thinking about how I can live like thi...nope, not going there. Hand on the lady's waist.

Your hands are fine where they are. You ever partied with Nocticula worshipping mercenaries who normally live in Alyushinyrra? Seriously that got wild. There was this half fiend witch you challenged me to a "riding competition" I was riding my guy normally, so suddenyl she turns her guy into a horse shouts "meep meep" and tries to have her dude, who is not used to being a horse, and whom she neglected to tell of her plan, ride away with her on top. Well yeah, it was in a building, so what actually happened is that she hit her head pretty hard, and the "horse" tumbled down some stairs so I actually won by default.

Demon Cocaine is one hell of a thing. Before you ask if its Demon Cocaine because it affects Demons, or because it is made from Demons, the answer is yes.
Back to the topic, I am pretty sure one of our 3 rapid response new friends can unblind your eyes. Heck, I could but I would need a scroll.

Vivi seeks to take Liams mind off his situation, and probably has a pretty good approach for that.

Yeap, Demon Cocaine. If I recall correctly its made by planting a Demon as a "tree seed" in certain areas of the Abyss, like the midnight Isle of Ali'ir, formerly demon lord of poisonous plants unil a terminal case of "picked-a-fight-with-Nocticulaitis", until a heavily psychotrophic mobile carnivorous plant known as the "Coca-Killa-flower" emerges from it.

When killed and ground to dust, the effects are quite potent, and even work on entities normally immune to poison or addiction such as Demons. Funnily enough, it has a bit less of an effect on Mortals, as such it is held in quite high regard by mercenaries frequenting the Abyss. Not that I ever was there, but I partied, meaning getting drunk and do dumb debauchery, not as in delve into a dungeon, with people who were.

Vivi enriches peoples Knowledge planes drugs, talking about it entirely non-chalanty, as if reciting a weather forecast.

Within the mansion after she looks at Liam and his blindness she says, "There is nothing I can do to help him. I don't have the high enough spell slots. Alexandria how about you bestow the ability upon me to remove blindness once per day?" With a nod from the truly flame touched lass she says, "I wish to have the ability upon me to remove blindness or deafness once per day with no bad ramifications for myself or my party."

Alexandria's flames seem to ignite as she is consumed by flames and then the flames move to Nima. Nima cries out in pain as the flames envelope her though soon the flames stop with her outbursts of pain. She casts a few simple cure spells upon herself and then walks over to Liam. She kisses both of his eyes and says, "By the almighty flame may you see again!"


With that accomplished Liam is able to clear the blindness from his eyes with just a few bats of his eyelids that were just kissed.

You also see the warm almost red color on her skin fade to almost white.

Liam blinks a few times, then smiles and hugs Nima. "Thank you so much! You have no idea how worried I was about never being able to see again. By the light of the Dawnflower, I am in your debt."

Hesitantly she returns the hug with a weak arm patting his back, "You are welcome, though without Alexandria's aid it would not have been possible. Thank the flame for its guiding light and protection."

He nods to Nima and Alexandria, then collects his gear as he says, "Who is ready to move out?! Does anyone need to rest and recover spells or whatnot?"

If nobody speaks up, he moves out of the mansion and into the dungeon once more.

"Several of the group had been casting pretty heavy. We will probably be much better off if we allow them time to rest and recharge their magics. I understand wanting to get back to it, but we don't need to help them kill us."
