Sendi knew her role. While Aukan charged in recklessly, slaughtering everything before him, she watched his back. The day's events have proven that the gigantic warrior was not immortal, and that being surrounded could well be his downfall. So while he cut his way towards the Carrion King, she went the other way, ready to engage the gnolls to the south. Going towards the first one she hit the gnoll before her with full force, using the palm of her hand to crush it's snout. She then followed up with a punch from her other hand, aiming for it's chest.

The archeologist moves towards the open doors, pulling his bow and loosing an arrow at the target he sees in front of them . . .. He started far enough back not to see the initial reaction to the group's entrance, and even after moving up really doesn't see the entire situtation.

@ Sendi: GM said the enemy with dots around them are chained into position. Surrounded by melee opponents is less likely but I'm guessing all of the chained guys are ranged opponents, so, still a threat that needs resolving.

Vivi moves further into the room and swings her greatsword around the wall to hit the yellow chained unchosen. Dealing a massive blow, 31 damage. Liam brandishes his scimitar. Then he casts a spell. Shield of Faith.

The carrion king seems to just wait as if he is expecting you to do his command!

Aukan moves to the North and slashes at the chained unchosen there, inflicting a grevious wound, 34 damage. Sendi slips past Vivi to confront the same unchosen as Vivi. Bhashir drinks a potion/elixer and moves into the room. An unstated amount.

Sassarra...

Auso shoots and hits the unchosen. It snarls at you before charging towards your group. 5 damage

The ranged gnolls take up their bows and release a volley. The unchosen gnolls try to break free from their chains, though the two that are unchained move toward meat!

Those that are chained are unchosen massive gnolls that do not have ranged attacks. These rolls are soon to come!

With the others rushing up and getting in the line of sight to his original target, Auso moves into the room and selects another. A quick glance about and he decides to target what seems like a relatively easy target in front of him, the one chained to the far side of the room.

Round 1

Sassarra and Auso took down one of the archers before it could shoot. Vivi gets hit by one of the arrows, 7 damage and poison! The white unchosen breaks free from his chains and sticks to the path around the pool of carnage. Aukan gets clawed, 8 damage. Sendi dodges all of the attacks from the chained gnoll and becomes flanked. Vivi gets smacked around by the unchosen in blue, 21 damage.

Who has a light source?! Who can see with darkvision? Just checking!!! There are no lights in this room unless you brought them with you.

Round 2

Vivi swings and smeshes the gnoll, though it still stands even after Sendi's attacks. As he rushes forward to take on the unchosen in blue, he doesn't know about its reach until too late. The claw comes in hard but is deflected by his freshly casted shield of faith. Sendi brings forth her unarmed strikes and brings the pain, 29 damage. It looks like it just infuriates it further. Auso aims at the unchosen that just got free! Hitting but not a critical, 4 damage. Sassara continues to fire after Auso's target causing much more damage with the water blast, 13 damage. Liam attacks and his blade hits the tough hide of the gnoll. It chuckles at you before roaring and attempts to maul you. Bhashir lunged at gnoll and stabs deeply into its flesh, 14 damage.

The slobbering unchosen in purple breaks its chains and moves towards Sendi, throwing one claw at her smacking her for, 8 damage. The others around Sendi claw her three times, leaving gashing wounds, 27 damage. Liam takes one claw to the face, blood pours from the wound, 11 damage.[/dice]

The ranged attackers all switch targets and aim for Aukan. They all miss!

Even with no light in the further hall you see goblins attacking the gnolls. With Thorgar, Victrix, Sorana, and the others that stayed behind. Even the slaves are weaponized and charge in.

He again brings down his large gleaming sword upon the gnoll. Slaying it and moving forward toward the archers, they can see the glint in his smile as he sees soft targets.

Seeing the largest threat as it has cut a line through his minions, the Carrion King stands up and moves towards Aukan. With great axe in one hand he snaps his free hand's fingers, which unlock all the chains securing the unchosen!

Vivi takes 28 damges and goes down at -10 hp.

They all got to full attacks inspite of various things to break chains and possibly moving? Also,yellow should be dead unless I got taken down before my second turn, which should not be happening because only yellow could have attacked me during my first.

With this, my con goes down to 8, meaning that I am dead, unless the onset is delayed in which case I have a short grace perioud.

Hmm Post mortem:
I did condition the rest of my action on yellow being down or not, standing in a place where several gnolls could have full attacked me would not have been my intention :).
I just read the poison list, the gnoll archers have roughly 4.5K GP worth of poison on each of them. The 2 most comparable poisons to DC18 D6 D6 instant onsets are Black Lotus (DC20 higher but not instant, 4K gold), or Wyvern poison (D4 con damage, instant, 1 lower DC) at 3K gold.

Hope that doesnt come off as too whiney, I enjoyed playing! Time to roll another character!

This isn’t good,Bhashir thought as he watched Viv fall. He momentarily considered retreating before he thrust his spear again.

She had done what she could, but these foes were far beyond her capabilities. The orcish aasimar fell within seconds of her foes turning upon her.

By RAW I think that she should actually be dead. Because green was giving yellow a flank, so that would be another 8 damage, taking her down to -18. Regardless, I think that it may be time to start making a new pc

As the warriors in front of her go down, Sassarra will focus on one of the big gnolls approaching. Probably green, but whichever seems appropriate at the time.

She puts her Greatsword in her left, and grabs a somewhat surprised Sendi with her 10 feet long reach before the surprised by this Gnolls can react, using her connection to battle to make a most surprising charge into the rearward areas of the party.

Using her charge of surprising charge to get away 20 foot further, setting up a secondary defensive postion at the door, with the heavily wounded sendi behind her.

Hilariously enough, I dont actually need to make any rolls for this.

She drops Sendi behind her, pointing to her CLW wand and shouting:I hope one of you can use this! before putting her sword into both hands.

It had all seemed so clear. Aukan had charged in, as usual. She had followed the Demi-God, secure in the knowledge that if he was there then it would be safe. She just had to stay on the fringes to watch his back. What could go wrong? At first it had gone according to plan, as she landed a pair of body blows which had left the Gnoll she was facing staggered. All that she needed to do was-

…she looked down and saw a sword sticking out of her chest. She opened her mouth in shock and surprise, but all that came out was blood. She willed herself to stay on her feet, but it didn’t work. Despite her mind screaming at her to stay up she fell to her knees. Not quite grasping the situation she thought to herself “I’ll be alright. I have comrades here. Friends, even. They will save me. We’ll look back at this and laugh.” The last thing she ever saw was the ‘grin’ of the Gnoll she had punched staring down at her. And with that, her story came to an end. Proof that life is not like a fantasy novel, and that casualties in war are inevitable.

I am going to say you aimed at blue as it was the most forefront threat.

The blast hits the unchosen making a gashing hole in its chest and yet it still stands.

Round 4
Vivi finishes off the blue unchosen, which is climbed over by the next unchosen in purple. I am taking the proposed attacks as readied attacks.

The unchosen gnoll in purple dodges the blast of water and gets hit by Aukan's blade, wounding it.

Round 5

Aukan finishes off the purple unchosen and now there is a barricade of bodies between them and you. But only for a moment as they pull the bodies back and throw them into the pit of carnage. The other unchosen waiting charge forward. The dotted white unchosen gnoll claws at Liam.

As Metal gets to the West doors they burst open! The doors swing in with a gnoll on each of them and then the four gnolls waiting shoot at Metal.

Round 6

Balan leaves the other door and charges the gnoll in red. Metal steps in so the front archers will be provoked and slams on the red gnoll with Balan. They cut her down with ease.

Metal steps in so the front archers will be provoked and slams on the red gnoll with Balan. They cut her down with ease.
