"So, what do we all think? I understand what Valsin said about picking the tasks most suitable but if the Society wants Delroya to work for them as a double agent she can't be burned by the Kortos agent. But how to stop a meeting between two people who we have no idea what they look like? We could use the fake oyster angle to put the squeeze on the owner of the Overflowing Oyster and hope he knows who at least one of them is but then that's a witness who knows what we're up to. I'm thinking finding Laszo might be the 'easiest' of the three but looks are deceiving. Sneaking onto a ship as dockworkers? Maybe but sneaking into the Captain's cabin of the Blue Dragon's Bite *and* finding the correct documents? I don't know..."

GM Valen |

Rahnboo's player is bowing out, so we are now down to five players.

Apologies for the delay in posting but my modem died and my ISP literally has almost no one who could actually get the new one working. Hopefully now that it's working it will keep working but, if my history with them is any indication, this isn't the last of my issues.
You do not know how f#@*&$&$ enraged I am right now.

![]() |

on a scale of 1-10, 1 being Dalai Lama passive and 10 being John Wick after they killed his dog, how enraged are you?
and as for the planting stuff, if Cara doesn't know about it, it's fine...
North of 11. Sorry for the rant but I wanted everyone to know, if I should disappear, what the likely cause is.

Glad you are still with us and the heads up is appreciated.

i have a thought...would Cara be able to use her Heal check to help taint the food safely...like adding something that makes people sick but not dangerously so? along the lines of exlax in the hot chocolate type of thing...

![]() |

That's a good thought. The Sleight of Hand would be useful in putting whatever you recommend into the food.
I like the general idea of a brawl but we have to make sure we don't get arrested and end up out of action.
The riskiest is probably extorting/threatening the guy to close or we'll tell he's a fraud and suggest he's in danger from local criminal organizations. Problem is, we don't know anyone in said organizations. I'm also hesitant to namedrop the Kortos Consortium but that's another idea.

GM Valen |

Alright, so it looks like we have the makings of a possible plan (which, if attempted, would play out as a skill challenge) as follows:
Phase 1 (Preparation): Acquire something to make the food unpalatable.
Relevant Skills: Diplomacy, Knowledge (local), Heal, or relevant Profession check.
Phase 2 (Enact the plan): Enter the tavern and taint the food.
Relevant Skills: Bluff, Sleight of Hand, Stealth, or relevant Profession check.
How does this sound? Three votes for this plan (or three for another) moves us along.

Arioch has Sleight of Hand of +8 so I can try that roll. Although the GM gave the option of Stealth which the ratfolk (being size Small) should be much better at than Arioch's +8 SoH.

GM Valen |

Sigh... I can't believe I didn't see that perception was an option. I would probably have instead of trying to aid on diplomacy made a primary roll with perception.
Given that the die roller produced a 7, your mistake has worked out in your favor! The resulting 16 would have been a failure.

Sandi can take 10 with her Disable Device to lock any of the doors.
Twitchy can take 10 with his Perception and hopefully either Arioch or Cara can assist to get him to a 20 to search the crates for useful items and/or search for secret doors. I'm inclined to look for secret doors first because I hate those kinds of surprises.
Does any PC have Knowledge (Engineering) or Handle Animal?
Do we want to try and topple crates to make difficult terrain? I don't know that we have enough ranged attacks to make it worthwhile.

Can't post today. Back tomorrow.

I'm sorry, I'm a bit lost what is going on now.
The PCs are in the warehouse and we're supposed to delay the Aspis agents coming to the warehouse (likely by killing them). Also coming to the warehouse are Kortos agents, whom we aren't supposed to fight, and our job is to get them to just let us deal with the Aspis agents.
The group has 6 hours to prepare themselves and the warehouse with various options. Sandi locked 4 of the 6 known doors. We've found two secret doors. Cara found a Wand of Cure Moderate Wounds with 5 charges left, Twitchy found 5 Potions of Cure Light Wounds, and Zarah found boxes (Hah!). Depending on how many of which tasks the PCs have tried/done, they still have some time before the agents arrive. Here's how much time each PC has spent so far:
So, for example, Sandi has spent 1 hour, 20 minutes on re-locking 4 doors so she has 4 hours and 20 minutes left to do whatever she wants.

Zarah is just going to start moving boxes. I'll have something up on the map after work tonight.

![]() |

I'm still hoping we might find something glass to leave a surprise in front of the secret doors. Or maybe make those difficult terrain so we can slow them down and pick them off?

Sorry I couldn't get around to this last night--work. Some of this depends upon which way doors open, the actual size of the crates (does one crate provide cover?), their actual placement on the board, etc....
I am guessing the outer doors open out if not then some crates shoved out to block them would be good. Also the southern opening to the office area (4) is that a door or a window? We should stack the furniture in the room up against it (again if this is a door that opens out we may need to think of something else here.
EDIT
Mea Culpa
Oh. Well then nevermind.... My bad again. I should read more. XD
Um, one last question then, is that southern office opening a door?

Weekend has turned busy. Expect my next post on Monday.

Hi, everyone,
I'm having a rough time for several reasons right now. For the next few days, it's possible my posts might be really brief, without much character. If this happens, please don't take it amiss; I will return to normal posting as soon as I can.

GM Valen |

Traveling this weekend, so expect an update late tomorrow or Monday.

Character information:
Player: Shadow Dragon
Character: Arioch
PFS and Character Number: 2369921-5
Class and level: Unchained Rogue 1
Faction: Grand Lodge
Downtime Activity: Sleight of Hand: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (12) + 8 = 20
I guess the Downtime Activity doesn't count since I don't have a "vanity" (whatever that is) allowing Arioch to use Sleight of Hand.

GM Valen |

Thank you all for a fun run and your patience! I have reported the game. You can find your chronicles
here.
Please let me know of any corrections/revisions that I need to make. Once I have confirmation of receipt of chronicles from everyone or after one week from now (whichever is first), I will mark this campaign inactive.
Thank you all again for having me host your colorful band of Pathfinders. I hope it was obvious that I enjoyed playing off your characters. I look forward to sharing a table with each of you in the future!

Got it. Thanks for the game everyone!
