I broke down the list of rules we know of spaced out to make it easier to read. If I missed anything let me know.
The social encounter below is played out over the course of 6 social rounds.
The PCs must succeed at four skill checks against an NPC to earn influence over that NPC.
Repeated tactics lose their effectiveness.
Each attempt to use a skill that has already been used to attempt to influence an NPC (successfully or not) incurs a cumulative –1 penalty against that NPC (to a maximum of –3).
Repeated failures run the risk of offending the guest;
after three consecutive failed checks to influence a given NPC using the same skill, that guest is no longer interested in speaking with the PCs and cannot be impressed.
Each PC can attempt one check to influence a single guest during each social round.
A PC can use her action for a social round to attempt a skill check to aid another PC in place of attempting a skill check to influence the NPC directly.
If a PC is not sure what kind of check to attempt,
she can make light conversation in lieu of attempting a check for that round, learning something about the NPC’s background, interests, or personality to gain a hint of appropriate skill checks to attempt to influence that individual.
PCs partaking in such “small talk” can attempt a Sense Motive check to learn an appropriate skill to influence the NPC with.
For every 5 points the PC exceeds the Sense Motive DC by, she learns one additional skill that can be used to influence the NPC.

OK. So it looks like Ears can influence twice. I'll allow that then. Just use a different skill.

Just a reminder that Borq's player and I will be at a con this Fri-Sun, April 25-27, so will likely be too busy to post then.

Meranthi (Borq) will try to get in a post tomorrow, then that will probably be it for the two of us until Monday.

Shoot, I messed up, guys. I thought I'd be able to apply DM credit for a game I'm finishing to get Ears leveled for the next adventure, but my credit is only for a level 1-4 adventure. He's 6th level. So that won't work.
How would you all feel if I played the pregen technomancer for the rest of the series?

I'll be sorry to see Jek go. I love playing with him, but I'm sure I'll see you 'round the boards. Are you running Ashbourne's Ashen Asteroid?
Yes, that's the one GRIM*! Gaming Network’s SFS 1-36: Enter the Ashen Asteroid.
Jek's my first Starfinder character, I'll play Jek again someday, got a lot going on so want to focus on running the game, it's only my 2nd time GMing Starfinder. Once I get my game going and my last playtest game is over, I'll likely pick up another game as a PC. I've had fun with Ears and your other characters. I still remember when I figured out what HFG-5-309 was from... lol :)
Not sure what everyone else is doing when SF2e comes out, but I plan on playing both editions, so I will be around.

Totally fine with a pregen Technomancer.
I'll miss playing with y'all!

NOTE: The Rasheen's Footsteps boon (previous scenario) and Rasheen's Legacy boon (this one) used to cost Fame, but now cost ACP in the boon store (4 and 8, respectively). The minimum required Acquisitives Reputation is unchanged, so Qimok won't have access any time soon.

I have entered Qimok's info for part 3 into RPG Chronicles. I have made my choices for leveling up Qimok to 7th, but it may be a couple days before I can get his character sheet here updated properly. (It's a busy week.)

No huge changes this level, just more accurate with his favored weapons (Weapon Focus: advanced melee) and more agile in his armor (Nimble Juggernaut gear boost)

Phaeton_nz, thank you for running another fine game. Ashbourne, Kludde, Meranthi, Tim, Luke, thanks for playing too. I hugely enjoyed your characters from Thrym's noir mystic vibe, to helpful skitter-tude, to the byplay 'tween Momo and Jek; you guys are great. Oh, and best starship combat crew ever.
phaeton_nz, one issue on the chronicle, it says I used a replay, which I don't believe is the case. Did I accidentally trip a switch in RPG chronicles?
Since Borq's okay with it, and silence gives assent, I'll plan on switching to the pregen for the next game. And I'm sorry again for my errant leveling plans.

@GM, I entered my org play number wrong in RPG Chronicles (should have an extra 2 at the end). Can you fix the reporting for me? TY!

![]() |

I just realized I forgot to update Borq to 7th for the last scenario. :(

![]() |

I'm fine with pregens for those who can't continue with their characters but want to stay involved with this group/run. (It took some to get Qimok the 1 more XP he needed, so I sympathize.)
And yes, thanks again @GM for running these!

Fixed Borq - I was wondering why your name didn't pop up when I entered the number.

![]() |

Qimok's character page and header data are now up to date for 7th level.

![]() |

Checking in. Are we continuing this?
Qimok and I will be on vacation from 12-23 June. Not sure how much we'll be able to post (wedding, then con). Feel free to bot Borq to move the plot along. He's decent at most skill checks.

![]() |

I guess there are no other questions then ... moving on.

Just a reminder than Borq's player and I will be on vacation June 12-23, with limited (if any?) time to post during that time.
