You can definitely see the fire they built themselves. They're not that far away, according to the map. As each square is ten feet, they are forty feet away from you.
He guides Windaghi off to the side as much as possible, to not be visible to anyone coming up the cave. Just four...probably not worth my more significant magic. And no plants around to entangle them, most likely.
If we got the drop on them I could Call stone, but that's likely best saved for more severe encounters deeper in.
