I thought everyone is ready, so lets go on.

The trip there takes you through a valley. The ground slopes upward and becomes a small gorge. A huge boulder almost entirely blocks the way ahead. The guides stop, and the fat one turns to you and says, "Around the great rock is the Land of the Demon-men. The great mountain is their home. We will go no further!"

The guides turn around and run into the jungle.

Chui dismounts from Windaghi’s back. If we are close to any settlements, I will use my eagle eyes to guide us in. For now, let’s look with human eyes

He stealthily creeps around the boulder, looking for signs of the evil city and other watchers.

Phoibe moves along swiftly with the group and when the guides run off she shrugs and brings out her glaive into her hands as a walking stick and starts looking for any traps along the path along with foot prints aiding Chul moving also with stealth.

Alright. Now we can get to the exploration...i mean rescue.

He then pulls out a piece of copper wire and stares down at it while he says an incantation looking at the group. It takes two such incantations to get all 8 of them within it.

I have cast a minor spell that will allow us all to communicate from a distance without raising our voices.

Message effects:
You can whisper messages and receive whispered replies. Those nearby can hear these messages with a DC 25 Perception check. You point your finger at each creature you want to receive the message. When you whisper, the whispered message is audible to all targeted creatures within range. Magical silence, 1 foot of stone, 1 inch of common metal (or a thin sheet of lead), or 3 feet of wood or dirt blocks the spell. The message does not have to travel in a straight line. It can circumvent a barrier if there is an open path between you and the subject, and the path’s entire length lies within the spell’s range. The creatures that receive the message can whisper a reply that you hear. The spell transmits sound, not meaning; it doesn’t transcend language barriers. To speak a message, you must mouth the words and whisper.

Hanuhpah moves to the side of the gorge not trusting the boulder to remain stationary. Instead he opts to take the route he was born for and simply climbs up the side of the gorge enough to look over the boulder at the path ahead.

20ft. climb speed just getting up to see whats behind the boulder proper.

The cave mouth is broad, but cleverly screened by Manas and creepers. It extends back into the darkness, straight and level. It appears that once this might have been a road or path, for in places the stone appears to have been worked. There are many tracks on the ground, some of them human-like.

Jaidu follows the road into the Cave. The Gunslinger trotting along. Finding the sparse worked stone paths and various tracks beginning to increase, the Ratfolk begins to keep a weathered eye out for those that may have made them.

Chui leads Windaghi into the cave, letting others take the lead but extending his awareness into the darkness as far as it will go.

Nuriyah pauses just long enough to dig a large dark red scarf out of her backpack. She winds it around her head and neck with the deft expertise of a Calishite woman accustomed to wearing a headscarf. The heatless flames that make up her hair are concealed by the tightly woven fabric.

Fiery hair temporarily snuffed out, the fire genasi follows the rest of the group into the tunnel. "I can see in the dark as well. Unfortunately, I was never very good with traps."

Timerus watches as everyone starts sneaking and he looks around...sighs and just strides up to get into line in the cave. His boots clacking on the stone. He grins when he thinks that all the 'sneakers' will be bothered by his not at all soft foot falls. he whispers into the message spell Shall we stride forth to where others fear to go?

and then pulls a piece of cured leather out and whil tracing his fingers along the piece and muttering a spell, a translucent armored coat appeared around his shoulders and covering his body.

Cast Mage Armor- Duration 7 Hours.
Message- range: 170' duration: 2nd casting-69minutes 9 rounds and 1st casting- 69minutes and 7 rounds

Hanuhoah loads his crossbow and croaks softly in annoyance about being a small person in a crowd of legs. Going into a tunnel was worse. If the ground was a world of taboos under it was further cursed. And of course vile things had already passed through. He called softly to the dinosaur in its pouch and beckoned to the roots nearby to lend the strength to resist stone and break mountains. His supple brightly colored skin dried and hardened into gnarled and mottled hardness. He then proceeded along with the grou peering forth with eyes looking for snakes. "Ubtao chooses strange paths."

Barkskin fo 70 minutes AC is now 25. Keeping concetration on Detect Poison going ahead.

About 5 minutes into this trip, Tyug'u stops and whispers: "What the hell are we listening too? You can't possibly hear splashing, whether from a river or whatever, from more than about 100 yards away... Sure, you can hear a big waterfall farther away, but that sounds like thunder, not splashing, and it shakes the earth."

Phoibe holds for a standard round and her shadow extends on the ground and then a second shadow joins her and soon they are moving along the floor and walls with her as she moves forward

As you are eager to meet a hydra, you enter the next chamber of the caverns.

This chamber is a large natural cavern, with a large pool filling most of it. Along the east wall is a 5 foot wide ledge, running around the edge of the pool. The ledge ends in a small alcove. The walls of the alcove are worked with carvings of snakes and men in a pastoral scene and at its back stands a large statue of a snake-bodied, six-armed woman. Flanking it are 2 charcoal braziers mounted on tripods. These cast a dim light throughout the room. Three canoes are beached in the alcove. The water appears calm and undisturbed.


Human Druid 7

As the party enters the cavern, Chui looks around for any sign of other presences and to see how deep the water looks. Unclear from your description—can we get to the other side without going through the pool?
