Lady Adria, unchained master summoner, is the last scion of a very minor Thyatian house, whose enemies succeeded in wiping from the registries through shady business, illicit rumours, and acts of violence. Killing her is the last task for these other lordlings in order to gain her Karameikan estates finally and officially. Accompanied only by the ghost of her family's loyal butler Borgov, she's just trying to make her way in the world and stay 1 step ahead of her enemies. It might be easier if she just let her family name go, but then her family would truly be gone...


I’ve decided to with a rogue (unchained) with the scout archetype from the APG. I will get the crunch done shortly and create an alias but below are the fluffy bits.

Appearance:

Fyodor is is tall for a Traladaran, standing close to six feet, with a lithe but well-muscled build. He has long and ropey limbs of corded muscle and sinew with well calloused hands that attest to his common upbringing. The willowy young man has a simple, yet hauntingly handsome face that always looks like he’s about to laugh or scowl. Although most are unsettled by his looks his features are proportionate and pleasing, he possesses a straight nose and a full mouth. While his large dark eyes, framed by long full lashes, set off a gaze that is both knowing and penetrating. Fyodor’s alabaster skin is as flawless and milky as fresh cream and stands in stark contrast to his dark locks of hair that appear to absorb the light around it. His raven colored hair is worn lose and flowing, often swept back from his face. The slender long-limbed youth is most often dressed in bright colors popular with the Traladaran people and a proudly wears a recently shorn cloak that marks his status as an impoverished traveler.

Personality:

Fyodor is at heart a product of his Traladaran roots and tries to keep the old ways, recognizing signs and omens in the happenings around him. He is superstitious and a little close minded when it comes to accepting new ideas. However, he is also a fun loving free spirit quick of tongue and wit which often lands him in trouble. He has a short temper and little tolerance for bullies. Fyodor is a fair hand at woodcraft as well as with a blade and a bow and is not shy about letting people know about it. He works hard at getting out of work and would rather be sitting in the shade smoking his pipe or around a camp fire with friends singing loud and off key.

Background:

The wilds of Karameikos are hard and unforgiving lands that have produced a superstitious and self-reliant people. Fyodor is one such product, a Traladaran from a small hamlet in the shadow of both the Blight Swamp and Fort Doom.

Like many swampers Fyodor spent his youth, catching eels, raising goats and pigs, and even growing small plots of vegetables where dry ground was found. All that changed with a raid by the oppressive forces of the Black Eagle Barony which resulted in Fyodor’s sister Olga being taken captive and left Fyodor gravely wounded.

Fyodor’s recovery was long and uncertain but the bleeding, leechcraft and expression of the humours finally worked and he recovered.

After his recovery from the raid Fyodor started pestering Manya Volig , a woman, who lived across the street. Manya was a renowned hunter and marksman and Fyodor constantly begged her to teach him woodcraft so he could track down and kill the men that had taken his sister. Fyodor was a quick learner and spent every spare moment at her side. This remarkable woman taught him how to shoot a bow, the art of woodcraft, how to hunt, fish, skin and clean game, and how to look for sign when tracking, but most of all she taught him about the sweet dignity of living free on the frontier and respecting others. Although she was many years his senior Fyodor couldn’t help but fall in love with her and looked for any opportunity to spend time with her.

Unfortunately, when he let his feelings be known, Manya spurned his advances calling him a foolish youth. The next day Fyodor approached his parents about his Shearing Ceremony. Two days latter, newly sheared, he left the hamlet determined to show his family, and Manya, that he was able to prosper on his own. That was ten days ago…


I have a wizard from the Universal school of magic more or less ready to go, but now I'm considering a melee type since I've only seen one person suggest playing one...

Background:

Milush grew up in poverty as the youngest of nine children, and while his family were technically soldiers serving in the military, they were all actually thieves. Anything of modest value that would be beneath notice found its way into their hands and the quickly to a fence. The key was to never steal anything of great value.

On his fourteenth year his parents performed the Shearing Ceremony at his request. Milush felt he could make a better life by adventuring rather that stealing nails and scrap from construction sites.

A year later and he continues to grow into a skilled thief in is own right. On his last visit to see his family he had finally grown taller than his father. He wears his brown hair tied back with a bright red scarf that matches his sash he wears around his waist, and he still wears the same blue cloak fraud at the end from the ceremony. After leaving some coins with closest sibling Milush leaves for his next adventure.

Appearance:

Milush is health and fit young Traladaran man of average height and unremarkable features. He has typically fair skin and brown hair and eyes. He still wears his tattered cloak from the Shearing Ceremony.

Personality:

Milush is pleasant and friendly but slightly guarded and posses a dark sense of humor at times. He tends to be more open minded than other Traladarans but respects traditional teachings and values. He is young enough that he doesn't see Thyatians as invaders but still has a sense of 'us' and 'them'.

Fluffy sweetness:
My name is Rutilux Lascaris. I was apparently born in Slavery.. What's that you say? Slavery is illegal in the Grand Duchy of Karameikos. Thanks to the Duke, may he live forever, yes it is. But you see while I was raised in Rugalov, my mother birthed me in the Empire of Thayatis.

My father was Rutilus "the wall" Lascaris, a famous gladiator of the arenas there. My mother, Drusylla was a slave, but slaves in the Empire have rights, laws to protect them, or at least they are supposed to. Father never 'owned' mother, but they'd met, and they took a liking to each other. Unfortunately mother's owner was a greedy bastard, and tried to rig some matches. Father declined bribery to take a dive by beating mother's owner and his two body guards black and blue for the insult. I wish I had more details to tell you, but suffice to say, mother's owner really wanted revenge after that. He decided the best way to get revenge was to poison my father. At risk to her life, my mother managed to warn the authorities and save father.

Father recovered, ended up killing mother's former owner in the arena (turns out the magistrate had a sense of ironic justice), and the married my mother. However, family politics in the Empire are tricky. The family of the bastard who had tried to rig the game felt a stain about the whole thing. You'd think they'd have vengeance in mind, but no. They instead decided out of sight, out of mind, and offered my father a chance to move to the Duchy where a rather nice house they didn't use awaited. They thought it would end the gossip. Father wasn't sure. Mother however told him to take the darn house! By this time I was born you see, and she wanted room for a family.

Two years after I was born, we were in a nice enough House across the border and my sister Noeva came around. Sadly, she'd never really get to know father well. When I was six years old, a fire caught at a local inn mother was working at. They called my father 'The wall' because he only got moved when he wanted to move. When a beam fell, he replaced it with himself. It brought time for my mother and everyone else in the inn to get clear before the material gave way, crushing him in fiery debris.

Even the Traladarians refer to him as "one of the good ones" because of that, and they don't always like we Thayatins. I became the man of the House as a mere boy. Mother discouraged me from being a warrior- naturally that made me want it more than anything. My best friend in the village was the one who clued me into a mercenary band I could trust. Hoffy is a halfling, and while my father was a hero who held up the inn, his mother risked her life too, saving a child who had stumbled. It created a bond. I could tell Hoffy anything. Still can.

I signed up with the Mirrored Legion. Despite the fancy name, it was just a mercenary group, albeit with a sense of Patriotism for our new homeland. And, while traveling with them, I met Zorya. A Traladaran girl of a wealthy merchant family. I mean, as well off as most Traladarans get. She was my first lover, and still is. And her parents do not approve.

So here I am, taking part in a shearing custom to respect Traladaran customs, hoping to make my fortune, maybe get knighted, something to prove I am worthy while still honoring my father's memory by becoming a great warrior. Love and family pride. There are worse reasons to risk your neck, right?

Tiberius stays behind the lead fighter, out of harms way if at all possible. He will shoot with his crossbow, and focus on buffing and healing the main fighter.
If he is attacked, Tiberius will cast Bane and activate his Coat of Many Stars to boost his AC by 2. he will also drop his crossbow and use his quarterstaff.
Divine Favor only if he misses an attacker more than 2 times.

Orisons You can prepare a number of orisons, or 0-level spells. These spells are cast like any other spells, but they are not expended when used and may be used again.

Skilled Humans gain an additional skill rank at first level and one additional rank whenever they gain a level.

Starchild (Desna) Desna sensed your love of travel and promised you would always be able to find your way home. You can automatically determine where true north is. You gain a +4 trait bonus on Survival checks to avoid becoming lost.

Adopted (Elf, Warrior of Old) As a child, you put in long hours in combat drills, and though time has made this training a dim memory, you still have a knack for quickly responding to trouble. You gain a +2 trait bonus on Initiative checks.


Background:

Amid the great city of Specularum, lived a Thyatian river boat captain and his young beautiful wife. They made a substantial living running thier ferry boat together, running the waterways transporting goods and patrons all over the continent. Shortly after being wed and the business taking flight, they had themselves a small bundle of joy to thier own, Tiberius. Unfortunatly for Mustius family, the waterways were not perfectly safe. A group of bandits laid siege on the boat and killed the parents and crew, but not before young Tiberius, who was around 10 years old, hid inside one of the cubboards in the ships galley. The bandits left little behind, and set the ship abaze to hide any wrong doing on thier part. Tiberious quickly jumped overboard once he realized the ship was sinking and was barely able to make it back to shore, half-dead, lungs filled with smoke and water, he starred up into the night sky, praying the gods would save either him, or his soul. Just before passing out on the river's edge, he swears to this day, a single star, high in the night's sky, flashed a brilliant radience and that's all he can remember.

He awoke alomst 2 whole days later, blinking at the bright light that came through a small window, he first thought it was the star, but then something else occured. A figure of a woman seamed to block the light, and as it came into focus, he discoved the woman was not human, but an Elf, very similar to some of the crew of his ship. She and her husband had been hunting the night of the attack and found him laying on the rivershore. Bringing him back to thier domicile deep in the woods, they tended to his wounds. After he awoke, he told them of what happened and they took great pity upon the small lad. They began raising him as thier own, teaching him many elven fighting techniques and styles. His skill with the sword however, never truely took. Instead however, something else happened. Upon his 18th birthday, he was laying in a field under the stars, the same star, he realized, began to shine brighter and brighter, until the image of Desna appeared. She told him that he was to have a great destiny, and to return to Speculrum, and begin his training in the church. She bequithed unnatural powers to the young man, showing him how to harness the energies of the life and the heavens, and to bring her word unto the church.

And so he did. With help from his adoptive parents, he was once again returned to the great city and stepped into the Church of Karameikos. There he began his training under the watchful gaze of the Patriarach.Today, he has been given the rank of a novice cleric, and has been sent to represent the church on a new adventure.

While his large dark eyes, framed by long full lashes, set off a gaze that is both knowing and penetrating. Fyodor’s alabaster skin is as flawless and milky as fresh cream and stands in stark contrast to his dark locks of hair that appear to absorb the light around it. His raven colored hair is worn lose and flowing, often swept back from his face. The slender long-limbed youth is most often dressed in bright colors popular with the Traladaran people and a proudly wears a recently shorn cloak that marks his status as an impoverished traveler.

Personality:

Fyodor is at heart a product of his Traladaran roots and tries to keep the old ways, recognizing signs and omens in the happenings around him. He is superstitious and a little close minded when it comes to accepting new ideas. However, he is also a fun loving free spirit quick of tongue and wit which often lands him in trouble. He has a short temper and little tolerance for bullies. Fyodor is a fair hand at woodcraft as well as with a blade and a bow and is not shy about letting people know about it. He works hard at getting out of work and would rather be sitting in the shade smoking his pipe or around a camp fire with friends singing loud and off key.

Background:

The wilds of Karameikos are hard and unforgiving lands that have produced a superstitious and self-reliant people. Fyodor is one such product, a Traladaran from a small hamlet in the shadow of both the Blight Swamp and Fort Doom.

Like many swampers Fyodor spent his youth, catching eels, raising goats and pigs, and even growing small plots of vegetables where dry ground was found. All that changed with a raid by the oppressive forces of the Black Eagle Barony which resulted in Fyodor’s sister Olga being taken captive and left Fyodor gravely wounded.

Fyodor’s recovery was long and uncertain but the bleeding, leechcraft and expression of the humours finally worked and he recovered.

After his recovery from the raid Fyodor started pestering Manya Volig , a woman, who lived across the street. Manya was a renowned hunter and marksman and Fyodor constantly begged her to teach him woodcraft so he could track down and kill the men that had taken his sister. Fyodor was a quick learner and spent every spare moment at her side. This remarkable woman taught him how to shoot a bow, the art of woodcraft, how to hunt, fish, skin and clean game, and how to look for sign when tracking, but most of all she taught him about the sweet dignity of living free on the frontier and respecting others. Although she was many years his senior Fyodor couldn’t help but fall in love with her and looked for any opportunity to spend time with her.

Unfortunately, Manya spurned his advances calling him a foolish youth when he let his feelings be known. The next day Fyodor approached his parents about his Shearing Ceremony. Two days latter, newly sheared, he left the hamlet determined to show his family, and Manya, that he was able to prosper on his own. That was ten days ago…

Yes it is! I had 2 of them but sold the one in 'good' condition and kept the old worn one - too many memories to let it go. It's still around here somewhere.
