Elena surprises everyone as she retrieves a hefty tome and begins recounting a tale from within its pages. The tale is one that, strangely, parallels their dire situation. She is no bard, but each word she utters holds an undercurrent of otherworldly malice.
She looks to Tal and Noroc, her expression of of apology. "I'm sorry. I can't protect everyone."
Eerie mists and indistinct whispers rise in an emanation around Elena. Clusters of seven perfectly spaced divots manifest in the ground, on Tal, on Noroc, and on the wisp. Each feels the power behind these divots as they drive an agonizing mental anguish in the form of crippling despair into their psyche.
Activate The Whispering Reeds. This doesn't look to be a magic spell/effect, so I'm hoping it works.

Bibi clears the door, which leads to a small antechamber. She clears the next door for Peldur. Beyond isn't a room, but a natural cavern.
This immense cavern is cold and damp. Water drips from condensation above into a large, still lake. Thick patches of moist mushrooms, some nearly four feet tall, grow along the western shore of the lake, while a narrow trickle of water feeds in from a tunnel to the south. A thirty-five-foot-long pavilion made of stone stands in the middle of the lake, elevated ten feet above the water level by more than a dozen stone columns. The entire pavilion is encrusted with damp, pale fungus. Two stone bridges arch from the pavilion—one connecting it to a door set in the northern wall and another to a door to the east. A faintly flickering campfire burns in the middle of the pavilion, its smoke curling to the ceiling.

I'm assuming we can see inside it--otherwise it'd be described as an "enclosure" of some kind. Any movement other than the fire? Furnishings or anything else in there? Or is it too high relative to us to see into properly?

Suddenly a strange combination of barking, howling, and shouting disrupts the fire. In its shadows stands a pale, pasty man with a wolf. He staggers up to the edge of his pavilion and howls and barks wildly presumably to warn you away. The wolf at his side accompanies his howls with its own. Society check if you please.

Pathfinder is increasingly moving away from monsters are always evil because they aren't fans of mindless fun. That being said, I'm the DM.... one should assume werewolves are evil. Tal knows that while the werewolf says he doesn't want to fight, fighting and killing are part of the curse. A werewolf this close to Otari is bad news....
