Filona grimaces at realizing that the others want to leave the lovely couple behind, but she is a little scared to go by herself. She concedes.
Yeah, let's go

Sandru leads you around the tower proceeding slowly and cautiously. You find the narrow trail leading north and continue on your way to Brinewall.
You continue moving northward and the day completes with no other encounters.
The traveling gets rougher as the trail diminishes even further now leaving almost no discernable signs of passage.
The day's weather turns as the sky becomes black. Winds begin to pick up as a drizzle becomes a heavy rain. You approach the Steam River and spot an old signpost about a hundred yards south of the bridge that crosses it. The signpost reads “To Brinewall” and points down an overgrown trail that winds through a forest.

Posh thinks it is odd that the road to Brinewall would be so under-used and overgrown. He and Walnut look about, and he considers the problem...

Caladorn turns to Sandru and asks " Looks like the weather is going nasty on us. This is your route, how much farther to Brinewall. Should we set up camp or proceed on the theory we'll end up with a roof overhead?"

Filona is enjoying the trip as Caladorn complains about the way. She says "Well, it is a fine route if you ask me. We'll get there when we get there. Try to enjoy the trip more." Her attention fades away as a butterfly rests lazily on a flower.

Filona says "I'm fine with camping here. It'll be delightful!"

Caladorn Estvial |

Caladorn surreptitiously mutters a quick cantrip (Detect Magic) and studies Ameiko closely for several seconds (full 3 round observation). Galaditar lands on his shoulder to kibitz...

Caladorn will head over to Koya, and will grab Posh and Gundar along the way. Pulling the four of the together for a quiet conference, he opens with "Ok, Ameiko is visibly not well. She is radiating magic, as if expected by a necromancy of moderate strength (a 4th-6th level spell/sla). However, such magic is not something I have any familiarity with. Posh, how long has she been looking this peaked? If it's just today, perhaps we try and outrun the source; ff it's longer than that, should we camp and try to help her fight it?"

Koya Mvashti . |

Koya notices the look from Caladorn and lets out a whisper of "hmm...". She wanders over to Ameiko takes a moment to give her a quick assessment. "It doesn't appear to be any kind of disease or poison; however, I would need to conduct a more thorough examination."
"I sense some sort of divine activity associated with her condition - which is extremely unusual. I've never encountered anything like it in all my years."

Caladorn Estvial |

Caladorn's eyes narrow, and he suggests "Try your spell Gundar." Then he goes in search of Sandru (which shouldn't be far). "Sandru, Ameiko has been afflicted by some necromancy from an unknowns source. Can we rig a hammock for Ameiko to rest inside one of the wagons. If we do that, we can push hard for a couple of hours marching, in the hopes of actually reaching Brinewall and putting a proper roof over our heads. Either that or we might outrun whatever it is that is afflicting Ameiko, What do you think?"

Sandru, Koya and Shalelu are not certain what is behind Ameiko's malady, but they all agree that whatever is causing it probably has something to do with the Kaijitsu legacy hidden somewhere in Brinewall.
The caravan arrives at the city of Brinewall.
"Beware the birds who wish to fly but cannot..."
Congratulations! You have arrived at Brinewall and reached the next portion of the AP. Please advance your character to Level 3.

Caladorn is distracted, looking at his book, when Ameiko whispers something in her sleep. Prompted by Galaditar he asks "Ameiko whispered something, did anyone catch that?"
Note, Galaditar will only have speak with master at 5th level. Before that, he communicates by empathic link, so hopefully someone else can hear that and share what was said...

Sandru Vhiski . |

Sandru spends some time repairing the damage done to the covered wagon (the low branches ripped some of the fabric covering the wagon's contents). He also spends some time reinforcing the wheels and undercarriage.
"That last trail was rough. Between the rocks and potholes, the last few miles did a number on the caravan."

A little more description if you please...The map looks like the village is in ruins? Is that the case? Is that like recent destruction? Assuming that the village is destroyed and not recently...
Caladorn looks over the remains of the village, trying to spot a building with intact walls and doors, remarking, "Let's try and find a camping spot where Ameiko can have a roof over her head."

As you approach from the south side of the village, you notice a cemetery to the east. The clearing consists of a low hill containing around two dozen graves.
Around a lagoon in the middle of town you see many ruined buildings. All of them appear to have roofs, but many are in disrepair and may not provide much protection from weather.
After a brief scan of the buildings, you can see that some of them were homes, others businesses (a smithy, glassworks, trading post and a stable). There are two larger ruins north of the cemetery one appears to be a town hall and the other some sort of temple. The temple is nearly completely collapsed.
A large castle rests on a hill to the northwest part of the village.

Posh and Walnut will move forward a little, looking (and smelling) for problems. Posh tries to discern how long it has been since this place was destroyed.

"Friends. While this town has been in a state of disrepair for some time, over a decade I should think, I would like to point out that the graveyard is unusually well tended. The stones are clean, and the area is picked clean of weeds. One of of the stones appears to actually be a shrine to Desna herself, with a small marble statue of her, holding aloft a small copper bowl."
Posh gently puts his heels into Walnut to get her moving to the small shrine. Once he is there, he drops a couple coins into the bowl.
