Ah yes, web is like a net attack - which is a ranged touch attack. Galaditar's touch AC is 15 - correct?

If so...

As Galaditar flies back to Caladorn, a small amount of webbing sticks to its wings making it difficult for it to fly. It returns to Caladorn perturbed and frustrated in its inability to remove the sticky material.

Caladorn retreats from the room, with Galaditar in his arms. Once he is in the area of Ameiko's light spell, Caladorns uses a dagger to carefully scrape Galaditar clean. As he does so, he speaks to Shalelu "You know, half sister mine, sometimes spreading fire is a positive, not a risk. I think setting fire to his web with him inside it might be just the thing to settle the spider's insult to poor Galaditar here."

"While I agree that burning the webs will deal with the spider, I am not convinced that it will pursue us if we just leave it alone. And since the captives are not in that room, I suggest we just move on and not provide the creatures herein any evidence of our tresspass."

Filona agrees with Shalelu and says "The pretty elf is right, we should focus on helping the birds." It's not clear if she means the couple that they're looking for or the actual birds.

Assuming the group doesn't want to bother the spider and continue searching, which of the two paths north did you want to take? left or right? I thought I changed the map so that you could move your characters. If not, please let me know.

Posh and Walnut choose the path less traveled...

Caladorn speaks to the spider "Until later then...", and then turns away, taking point on the path Posh identifies...
Same procedure as before, 30' in front of Ameiko and Galaditar 20' ahead of that.

Stealth and Perception rolls:

Stealth, Caladorn: 1d20 + 2 + 3 + 3 ⇒ (14) + 2 + 3 + 3 = 22

Wayfinders

You follow the path to the left and continue to the left as Posh/Walnut follow the least traveled passage. You notice a room which looks like it used to be a sleeping quarters with a table and bed, but they appear to be missing parts. There is a pool of water in the southwest corner.

Caladorn:
Galaditar notices movement within the pool of water and you suspect there may be something more than just water there.

Filona comes in and takes a look in the pool of water, very curious. It seems like she think they're about to find treasure in the water, somehow.

Wayfinders

The bed does not have a backboard and two of its legs. The table is also missing a couple legs and a corner. The chairs don't have any legs at all and one is missing half of the seat It is as if something has eaten away at them.

Sorry, I was looking at your HP.

The pseudopod grabs a hold of Filona as it retracts dissolving flesh. Filona feels a burn like fire from the liquid grabbing her skin.

Ok, Grab
starts a grapple without a AoO, but it does still need a CMB check...

Caladorn says "I told you!" as he sidesteps back and out of the way... while trying to think of something useful to do.

Caladorn - 5' step, talk as a free action, and delay until 10

Ok, I don't have much that will effectively fight an ooze, what with it being sneak attack immune...I hope it's not weapon resistant. I would suggest that you try to wrestle Filona loose and run. If that's successful, I can probably kill from a distance with Ray of Frost (but I don't want to shoot into melee through cover, as murphy says I will end up killing Filona).

Wayfinders

Oh, I forgot to roll the CMB against Filona. Let me do that now to determine if she has been grabbed. I didn't roll it because her CMD is 9 and the creature gets +16 - but I will rule that if it rolls a 1 it misses.

Grab DC 9: 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (2) + 16 = 18 Almost!

Shalelu hears Filona's cry and quickly moves into the room. The sight of the watery "arm" grabbing hold of her results in two quick shots from her bow.

composite longbow attack: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (12) + 11 = 23
composite longbow damage: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 1 = 9
composite longbow attack: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (14) + 6 = 20
composite longbow damage: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 1 = 9

Her two arrows easily penetrate the watery mass. You notice that both the metal tips and wooden shafts begin to dissolve.

Male Gnome

For an ooze, Posh steps forward, drawing his hook hammer and uses the bludgeoning end...

Hook Hammer Hit: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 4 = 9
Hook HammerDamage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7 x3 B

Wayfinders

Posh's hammer slams into the watery creature.

Posh make a DC 20 Reflex save or your hammer takes 1d6 ⇒ 3 acid damage. (unless it is made of stone)

Ameiko steps in and also heals Filona.

CLW: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (7) + 3 = 10

"Hang in there Filona, we'll get you out."

Filona and Caladorn to act before the creature.

Male Gnome

Reflex: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6 Doh!

Wayfinders

Checkout this page: Breaking. All weapons have a hardness of at least 5. Which entry from Table 7-12 would your hook hammer come under? The 3 acid damage is not enough to overcome its hardness of at least 5, so it suffers no damage.

Male Gnome

A hooked hammer is a two handed hafted weapon.

Caladorn looks at the thrashing mess of a melee in front of him and decides not to try firing a ray through it...

Does nothing for this round. (A ray of frost at a -8 to hit and will hit Filona if I miss seems a bad idea.)

Why would you hit Filona if you miss?

composite longbow attack: 1d20 + 6 - 8 ⇒ (9) + 6 - 8 = 7
composite longbow damage: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7

Worried about hitting the gnome, her first shot sails wide. Taking a breath and focusing her second shot is enough to hit the creature.

Ameiko moves up and stabs at the creature with her rapier.

Rapier attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (9) + 5 = 14
Rapier damage: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7

Reflex DC 20: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (14) + 7 = 21

The bard's quick reflexes manage to damage the creature without exposing her rapier to the damaging acid covering the creature.
