"Gundar's protection from evil spell helped Ameiko, and Desna is patron of travellers... Let's camp there overnight and maybe the consecrated ground will help Ameiko's condition. If we do camp there, I suspect we should all follow Posh's example and make an offering..."

It has got to be getting late and we will need to camp somewhere...What do you guys think?

Gundr nods,Here is as good as place as any! He then walks over to the statue, We hosted many of Desna's travelers where my kin calls home. They were always a fascinating bunch. My cousin, Cordwin, would swap stories with them until the wee hours of the morning! He too will drop a few coins.

M Elf Rogue (Unchained, Rake) 1 Wizard 1 (smoke)| HP 15/15 | AC 14/13/11 | F+3/R+7/W+3 | Init+7 | Perc+7 Lowlight Vision

Does Koya, cleric of Desna, according to Pathfinder Wiki, have any objections to using the temple and graveyard as a camping spot?

Assuming no, she thinks it's a good idea:

Caladorn will make an offering of a couple of coins to Desna (and give a couple more to Galaditar, so it can make one too). He won't police the other caravaners though. (He's CN, but someone should...) Before the caravan sets up, he will invite Posh, Gundar and Filona with him for a quick search of the temple and graveyard...

Posh gladly joins in any search efforts.

Wayfinders

Caladorn:
As you drop the coins into the bowl, Galaditar notices a tiny creature hiding amongst the undergrowth. It appears to be a tiny woman with a lithe form and delicate butterfly wings. She is surrounded by sparkling lights and gentle rainbow arcs.

M Elf Rogue (Unchained, Rake) 1 Wizard 1 (smoke)| HP 15/15 | AC 14/13/11 | F+3/R+7/W+3 | Init+7 | Perc+7 Lowlight Vision

Galaditar nudges Caladorn then zips out to fly a circle over the little creature...

Assuming Caladorn can see it when it's pointed out to him...:

K Arcana: 1d20 + 3 + 3 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 3 + 3 + 4 = 16 which I'm guessing won't help a bit, because she's not a construct, dragon or magical beast.

I'm guessing she's a fey or an outsider, don't know if you will give the creature type on a 10, which is the max roll untrained.
K Nature, Untrained, identify type: is she a fey?: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (19) + 4 = 23
K Planes, Untrained, identify type: is she an outsider?: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7

In Sylvan if Fey, in Celestial if outsider, else in Elven
"Hello, lady, do you keep the cemetery here? I am Caladorn. We would camp on the sacred ground here, in the hopes this will aid our afflicted companion, Lady Kaijitsu"

Wayfinders

Caladorn:
You notice a brief reflection of light from somewhere in the brush, but the tiny creature is difficult to follow. It seems to be making sure it keeps a safe distance from Galaditar.

Male Dwarf Cleric 3 (HP 31/31 AC:15 T:10 F:15 Saves F:+7 R:+2 W:+7 CMB:+4 CMD:14 Init:+0 Perc: +4 Heal:+9)

Do you both see something? Gundar asks as he, too, looks in the direction they are looking at.

M Elf Rogue (Unchained, Rake) 1 Wizard 1 (smoke)| HP 15/15 | AC 14/13/11 | F+3/R+7/W+3 | Init+7 | Perc+7 Lowlight Vision

"No, but Galaditar did see something. He doesn't think it's hostile though. Whatever it is is very well hidden; he's buzzing around it, telling me it's there, but I can't spot it... Shall we head up to the ruins of the temple and check it out?"

Caladorn will head off to the ruins of the temple itself, trusting Galaditar to keep and eye on whatever he's spotted...

@GM Corwyn, do you want more perception checks for searching the temple itself?

Wayfinders

Gundar shrugs his shoulders as he doesn't see whatever Caladorn's wasp noticed.

Caladorn moves towards the ruins of the temple. The ruined buildings appear to be empty. There are no signs of any activity and the stillness in the air accompanied by an eerie silence cause the hairs on his skin to rise.

GM:
Perception: 1d20 + 7 + 2 ⇒ (10) + 7 + 2 = 19

To the west, the lagoon is filled with algae. Galaditar spots a carcass of a creature lying half submerged in the water.

Knowledge Nature DC 15:
The creature appears to be a sea drake.

As he reaches the temple Caladorn confirms it is indeed a temple to Desna.

Looking north, Caladorn sees two ruined piers extending into the harbor. Both piers are collapsed with a longship tied to the western one. The longship seems relatively new, but it is partially destroyed and half-sunken.

Male Dwarf Cleric 3 (HP 31/31 AC:15 T:10 F:15 Saves F:+7 R:+2 W:+7 CMB:+4 CMD:14 Init:+0 Perc: +4 Heal:+9)

Do we know if the silence is natural or unnatural?

Wayfinders

It is difficult to determine, but you think the silence is due to something nefarious in the area; rather than due to anything magical.

Loot Male Gnomographer 2 (AC: 18 [T: 13 FF: 16] CMD 14 (+4 vs disarm) | HP: 17/21(0NL) | F+5*, R+6*, W+3* | Init: +2 |Perc: +6)

”Walnut, sniff it out.”

Walnut has scent, so he starts sniffing.

Wayfinders

The scent of the decaying creature in the lagoon is the only thing Walnut can sense.

M Elf Rogue (Unchained, Rake) 1 Wizard 1 (smoke)| HP 15/15 | AC 14/13/11 | F+3/R+7/W+3 | Init+7 | Perc+7 Lowlight Vision

Ok, I think we need to move this along a bit. I suspect that we are in a "dungeon level" here, and the assorted building are the rooms... So big post time

Caladorn bites his thumb and says pensively: [b]"All right, there's something not right about this town; the silence is oppressive, there should be more noises, if only from rats. Let's not get into someplace without a route to run away. We've looked at the ruined Desnan temple and graveyard (Pink box on the map) and that seems safe enough. Let's try the building on the point (Green Box), down the road to the temple is our line of retreat if we have to run away."[b]

He heads down the road to the building on the point, wary as a cat near a rocking chair... When he gets there, he has Galaditar fly a circuit [ooc](staying 40+ ft away) around the building while both take a careful look and listen...

Posh nods and moves Walnut in the direction indicated by Caladorn. Posh makes sure not to get in the way of Caladorn's scouting, but he does get closer to provide cavalry support, in case all the goblin lawyers in the world start pouring out of some unspotted abyss.

Wayfinders

Caladorn and Posh move down the trail towards a lighthouse and confirm it is just that. They see that it is made of stone and its roof is caved in. Galaditar notices a shiny object amongst the rubble.

M Elf Rogue (Unchained, Rake) 1 Wizard 1 (smoke)| HP 15/15 | AC 14/13/11 | F+3/R+7/W+3 | Init+7 | Perc+7 Lowlight Vision

Encouraged by Galaditar, who has spotted something, Caladorn will search the remains of the lighthouse (with Galaditar on his shoulder, chittering at him)...

3 rank +3 trained +2 racial +2 aid another +2 alertness

Wayfinders

Caladorn:
You find in the rubble surrounding the lighthouse a partially crushes strongbox. The damage to it allows it to be easily opened. Inside is 93 gold pieces and a rusty key.

M Elf Rogue (Unchained, Rake) 1 Wizard 1 (smoke)| HP 15/15 | AC 14/13/11 | F+3/R+7/W+3 | Init+7 | Perc+7 Lowlight Vision

"It's safe Posh. Come here, I got a little something for Walnut's saddlebags to carry."

Caladorn pockets the key and (assuming Posh cooperates), loads the gold into Walnut's saddlebags.

Then he heads back down the road into town, alert for trouble.

I propose to search the various buildings in town. Start with the one in the purple box, and then the one in the orange box... I suspect that things will start to get more interesting as we get into the town.

His mood darkens as he enters the ruins once again. He waits for the others to back him up, and then starts searching, looking for trouble, clues about what happened and loot in that order.

Perception, Search Purple box building: 1d20 + 2 + 3 + 2 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (13) + 2 + 3 + 2 + 2 + 2 = 24

Perception, Search Orange box building: 1d20 + 2 + 3 + 2 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (20) + 2 + 3 + 2 + 2 + 2 = 31

I have not rolled the perception rolls for galaditar aiding another, as he has a +10 which makes it automatic.

Male Dwarf Cleric 3 (HP 31/31 AC:15 T:10 F:15 Saves F:+7 R:+2 W:+7 CMB:+4 CMD:14 Init:+0 Perc: +4 Heal:+9)

Gundar will help look around.

Posh has no trouble carrying the gold.

Wayfinders

Caladorn's search only results in more empty/ruined buildings. Nothing of interest in either of the two specified.

M Elf Rogue (Unchained, Rake) 1 Wizard 1 (smoke)| HP 15/15 | AC 14/13/11 | F+3/R+7/W+3 | Init+7 | Perc+7 Lowlight Vision

Caladorn continues the grim work of searching the ruined town; he's clearly on edge, the unnatural silence is worrying him.

Perception, Search Green box building: 1d20 + 2 + 3 + 2 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 + 3 + 2 + 2 + 2 = 12

Perception, Search Pink box building: 1d20 + 2 + 3 + 2 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 2 + 3 + 2 + 2 + 2 = 19

Wayfinders

Caladorn's search discovers only more empty buildings - nothing of interest.

Caladorn:
You search the remainder of the ruined buildings. Other than former function (i.e. town hall, cathedral, warehouse, business, dwelling) they are all empty - nothing of interest.

M Elf Rogue (Unchained, Rake) 1 Wizard 1 (smoke)| HP 15/15 | AC 14/13/11 | F+3/R+7/W+3 | Init+7 | Perc+7 Lowlight Vision

Having searched his way through the town, Caladorn approaches the piers. Stopping at the base of the pier with the sunken longship, he pauses and says "I think that ship is newer than what happened to the village - it landed to explore the village and something clearly got it..."

He has Galaditar fly a circuit (staying 40+ ft away) around the longship while both take a careful look and listen...

Perception, Caladorn: 1d20 + 2 + 3 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 + 3 + 2 = 12
