Koya notices the look from Caladorn and lets out a whisper of "hmm...". She wanders over to Ameiko takes a moment to give her a quick assessment. "It doesn't appear to be any kind of disease or poison; however, I would need to conduct a more thorough examination." GM:
Knowledge Religion: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (9) + 8 = 17 "I sense some sort of divine activity associated with her condition - which is extremely unusual. I've never encountered anything like it in all my years."
"Well Zaraleva, let's see." Koya brings out her deck of cards and shuffles them. She lays out four cards in a diamond shape and begins to turn them over one at a time. After all four have been revealed she adds "Hmm, there is adventure in your future. I see someone who is in trouble... two in fact. They are linked to each other, possibly a romantic link. They need help, but I cannot see where they are; my vision is clouded and I can't see the details. There is money involved as well... a lot of money."
Koya begins to share with you all the details associated with how she learned fortune telling and demonstrates what she learned by performing a reading on Zaraleva and then Adrian. "Thank you for listening Caine, I know you've heard this story numerous times before. You always sit and listen intently, I'm very appreciative of your respect and patience."
"Well done Caine! I'm very proud of all your accomplishments. You are going to be a great magus. Anyone want to hear a story about the time Niska taught me how to read the Tarot?" Perception DC 10: As your journey progresses, Koya appears to be more excited each day. You would have thought she would become tired and need lots of rest, but the opposite seems to be happening.
"Oh Caine! That one looks bad. Here, let me help." Koya pulls a wand from a pocket in her robe and after a spoken word taps Caine on the shoulder. CLW: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 1 = 8 "There, much better the wound has closed entirely." The wound in Caine's belly closes entirely, the bolts lodged in his body fall to the ground without any need to extract them.
On the trip back to her home with Caine, Koya responds to his question "Well, ever since mom died, I've had this inkling to spread my wings and see other lands. You know I've been in Varisia almost my entire life and if I am ever going to see the rest of the world I need to start now. Not gettin' any younger - eh Caine? When old Niska was around, I felt like I had to stay close to Sandpoint, in case she needed me. But now, there's no reason for me to stay. You're planning on goin' on this trip with Ameiko, right Caine? Who's gonna look after ya if not me?" As they approach the house, Koya sniffs the air "Smells like the cookies are done, let's get in quick and get 'em out of the oven before they burn." |
