Koya concludes a discussion with Sandru and Shalelu. Her face is grim as she speaks

"We think that Ameiko's condition is likely due to something with the Kaijitsu legacy hidden somewhere in Brinewall. You need to explore the town while we stay and guard her.

I did overhear Ameiko whisper something in her sleep. I don't know what it means, but it may help with your exploration. I heard her say:

'A key you seek lies in the grip of the ten-handed one—his fear is your greatest ally...'"

Koya notices the look from Caladorn and lets out a whisper of "hmm...". She wanders over to Ameiko takes a moment to give her a quick assessment. "It doesn't appear to be any kind of disease or poison; however, I would need to conduct a more thorough examination."

"I sense some sort of divine activity associated with her condition - which is extremely unusual. I've never encountered anything like it in all my years."

"Ameiko! What happened to you? Never mind, you can tell me later. Let's get that wound taken care of."

The old healer calls on Desna to help and a light blue glow spreads from her hands over Ameiko's arm.

"As much as I am loving this adventure, I am not as spry as I used to be. I'll stay out here with Sandru."

"I do not know at this time; however, I am confident it will become known to us sometime in our near future."

"Well Zaraleva, let's see."

Koya brings out her deck of cards and shuffles them. She lays out four cards in a diamond shape and begins to turn them over one at a time. After all four have been revealed she adds

"Hmm, there is adventure in your future. I see someone who is in trouble... two in fact. They are linked to each other, possibly a romantic link. They need help, but I cannot see where they are; my vision is clouded and I can't see the details. There is money involved as well... a lot of money."

Koya begins to share with you all the details associated with how she learned fortune telling and demonstrates what she learned by performing a reading on Zaraleva and then Adrian.

"Thank you for listening Caine, I know you've heard this story numerous times before. You always sit and listen intently, I'm very appreciative of your respect and patience."

"Well done Caine! I'm very proud of all your accomplishments. You are going to be a great magus.

Anyone want to hear a story about the time Niska taught me how to read the Tarot?"

Perception DC 10:
As your journey progresses, Koya appears to be more excited each day. You would have thought she would become tired and need lots of rest, but the opposite seems to be happening.

Koya looks over the transformed young men "They look to be fully cured, that's some sword you have there Aiko. Bringing them back to their family sounds very nice Adrian, I think it is a wonderful idea."

Koya repeats the same word as her glowing touch heals Adrian

Koya extracts a wand and speaks a word. A soft pink light with butterflies appear in her wand as she prods the back of the injured monk.

Koya rushes out from her hiding place and casts a spell from reading a scroll.

"Not on there own, but they can always be re-infected with the disease. We would have to find out how they were infected in the first place. Sandru, do we have time?"

"Of course you may, please anything I have that will help us out of this you are welcome to. Lady Luck be with you!" Koya says as she hands her holy symbol to Adrian.

The holy symbol is an improvised weapon that does 1d4-1 damage (same as a silver dagger) on a successful hit.

"Caine! Come back here and quit trying to be a hero! You're going to get yourself killed or worse, infected with lycanthropy."

"Quick thinking. Once we get them bound we can feed it to them and see how they react."

"Is this all you found? It doesn't always work the first time. It depends on the individual, the tougher ones stand a better chance to fight off the curse."

Koya attempts to aid Ameiko in her fight with the werewolves.

"Oh Caine! That one looks bad. Here, let me help."

Koya pulls a wand from a pocket in her robe and after a spoken word taps Caine on the shoulder.

"There, much better the wound has closed entirely."

The wound in Caine's belly closes entirely, the bolts lodged in his body fall to the ground without any need to extract them.

"Caine! You're hurt, but it doesn't look too bad. Everyone! We are under attack! Wake up!"

Koya shakes both Koya and Shalelu.

To Gundar "I am not sure, but I think I might have found something nefarious related to her family history in her last reading. It may be nothing, but we should keep an eye out."

"I'm ready. Isn't this exciting Caine? We're going on an adventure!"

"I'm ready. Isn't this exciting? We're going on an adventure!"

On the trip back to her home with Caine, Koya responds to his question "Well, ever since mom died, I've had this inkling to spread my wings and see other lands. You know I've been in Varisia almost my entire life and if I am ever going to see the rest of the world I need to start now. Not gettin' any younger - eh Caine?

When old Niska was around, I felt like I had to stay close to Sandpoint, in case she needed me. But now, there's no reason for me to stay. You're planning on goin' on this trip with Ameiko, right Caine? Who's gonna look after ya if not me?"

As they approach the house, Koya sniffs the air "Smells like the cookies are done, let's get in quick and get 'em out of the oven before they burn."

"I appreciate the offer to spend the night, but I prefer to sleep in my own bed. Caine and I will return in the morning. Besides, I have cookies in the oven that I don't want to burn."

Koya says her goodbyes and motions to Caine to return with her.

"Coming with you? Where are you going? Perhaps we should let Ameiko tell us why we are here."

Koya face lights up at Sandru's words. You can see the pride she has in Caine. "Are you going to see Ameiko or just having dinner?"

"I'm doing quite well, thank you for asking. Have you met my grandson Caine?"

"She did? I wonder what she wants. Let me finish putting these cookies in the oven. Grab some wood and stoke the fire, then we can go see Ameiko. We can have cookies for dessert."
